Yan Fei felt a chill seeing this weird Man in black under the pitch-dark sky, as he closely resembled the ghosts from Chinese legends. Yan Fei focused, trying to see the face under the hood, but it was pure darkness underneath, nothing visible at all. Yan Fei swiftly cut off his spiritual probe, breaking free from that eerie allure. He took a deep breath, steadied himself, and then immediately controlled the Drone in the sky to activate the Drone Quantum Radar, locking on to the mysterious villain, ready to launch Missiles if there was any movement.

Yan Fei confronted the Man in black and asked, “So, you are the mysterious villain? Are you the one manipulating my thoughts and actions, making me do things according to your whims?”

The man in black's body fluttered in the wind as if it had no weight at all, his emotionless voice stating, “Indeed, everything about you is under my control, you are merely a pawn I use to change history.”

Yan Fei asked, “Can you still recognize me as Yan Fei in this guise?”

Yan Fei had altered his appearance to look like someone else; even those closest to him couldn't recognize him. Yet, to Yan Fei's shock, the man in black saw through his disguise instantly, prompting him to ask this critical question.

The man in black replied, “I possess the Eye of Truth, no one can disguise themselves before me. Identifying your true identity is as simple and easy for me as drinking water.”

Yan Fei fell silent for a moment before voicing the question he was most anxious about, “Was my encounter with Wen Rou also manipulated by you in the shadows?”

The man in black paused before answering, “Correct, I arranged for Wen Rou to be by your side.”

Yan Fei inquired, “But how could you be so sure that I would like Wen Rou instead of disliking her?”

The man in black stated, “My abilities exceed your imagination; I never engage in uncertainties. In fact, before you met Wen Rou, I was subtly influencing you. Every night, you would have the same dream where you'd find yourself in the scenario of meeting Wen Rou for the first time, and you would develop feelings for her. When you met her in reality, you instantly fell for her.”

Therefore, Wen Rou doesn't know I exist, nor does she know about the mission she is supposed to undertake; she simply follows the path I have laid out for her. After hearing this, Yan Fei finally relaxed. He had always feared that Wen Rou approached him with a hidden agenda, deceiving him emotionally. Now that he realized their love was pure and untainted, he could let go of this burden.

Yan Fei then asked, “Wen Rou and I were strangers before; why did she also fall for me after meeting me?”

The man in black let out a strange laugh, stating, “Yan Fei, do you think you were the only one having this strange dream?”

Yan Fei responded, “Could it be… Wen Rou also kept having this strange dream?”

The man in black confirmed, “Indeed, Wen Rou had the same dream as you, but it was primarily from her perspective, which is why she was deeply impressed by you. Once she saw you in reality, she truly fell for you.”
