Yan Fei said to “Who Am I,” “This is my friend, not an enemy.” Then he turned to Captain China and said, “Captain, this is my friend.”

Having Yan Fei's confirmation, “Who Am I” deactivated his combat mode. He nodded slightly to Yan Fei, then with a flicker, transformed back into Bat Cloud and returned to his own villa.

Yan Fei asked, “Captain, what brings you here?”

Captain China looked hurried and dust-covered. With a rather serious expression on his face, he said, “Yan Fei, let's talk inside the house.”

Yan Fei led Captain China into a room, invited him to sit on the couch, and brewed a cup of tea for him. He then asked, “Captain, is there something you need to discuss with me?”

Captain China looked at the large photo of Yan Fei and Wen Rou hanging on the living room wall, sighed, and said, “Yan Fei, I'm very saddened by what happened to your fiancee. But I still need to ask, why did Wen Rou go to The United States of America, and how did she come to be blown up there?”

Suppressing his inner sorrow, Yan Fei didn't hide the truth. He recounted in detail the plot against the former President of The United States of America and himself by a hidden mastermind, the critical misjudgments they both made, his permission for Wen Rou to return to The United States of America, and the Americans' subsequent capture and bombing that killed Wen Rou.

Only then did Captain China understand the deep-seated resentment and complications between Dream Island and The United States of America. He also realized why Yan Fei had allowed Wen Rou to return to The United States of America alone and why Dream Island had come to be at war. Furthermore, Captain China grasped that it was to help him enter the Light Portal on the Underwater Plaza that Yan Fei did not accompany Wen Rou back to The United States of America, which ultimately led to her demise. Yan Fei, being a God-Level Expert, could have ensured Wen Rou's safety had he been by her side–the root cause of this tragedy lay with himself.

However, Captain China was a composed individual. Even so, he didn't dwell on the matter further and inquired, “What's the current status of the war between Dream Island and The United States of America?”

The war between Dream Island and The United States of America mostly took place on the United States mainland and the surrounding waters. At that time, it was deep into the American night, and optical satellites in space could not monitor the situation. Coupled with the widespread electricity and Internet outages, along with communication breakdowns, information about the domestic situation in The United States of America simply could not get out. All countries knew that two nuclear weapons had been detonated on the United States mainland, but no one knew the exact state of the warfare, which was why Captain China had asked for the details.

After listening to Yan Fei's account, Captain China was somewhat shocked. In his view, it would have been fortunate for Dream Island not to be crushed beneath The United States of America's might, but, to his surprise, the situation was completely reversed–The United States of America was the one being overpowered by Dream Island. Before Captain China came to Dream Island, he had reported to the higher-ups in China on how to facilitate the return of Dream Island residents to China, how to provide military protection for Dream Island, and even the possibility of deploying troops to help Dream Island through the crisis. But the current situation was entirely opposite to what had been anticipated–Dream Island was prevailing and didn't need China's assistance.

However, Captain China immediately breathed a sigh of relief. The current situation was the best scenario he could have imagined. This meant that China would face much less pressure, and Dream Island had a chance of preservation.

Then Captain China remembered the hidden mastermind Yan Fei had mentioned before. He contemplated for a moment and said, “Yan Fei, do you know who that hidden mastermind is?”

Yan Fei shook his head and replied, “I don't know, not a single clue. I don't understand why this hidden mastermind targeted me or what his ultimate goal is.”

Captain China's face showed a reflective expression as he said, “Yan Fei, if our family's records are correct, I might know what the purpose of that hidden mastermind is.”
