Before, these Americans had taken Yan Fei's declaration of war as a joke, not until they found out the Norfolk Naval Base had actually been bombed did they realize the seriousness of Yan Fei's declaration. But they were puzzled–Yan Fei was just a wealthy businessman, how could he have the capability to attack a US Forces military base on the East Coast?

The United States had been involved in almost every major and minor war since World War II, but the standard citizens had little to no feeling towards these conflicts because the battles occurred outside the United States mainland. Even when there were casualties, they were those of other countries, unrelated to them. As time passed, regular Americans lost their direct impression of war, coming to see it as something as simple as eating and drinking. They would not resist the United States launching foreign wars; in fact, they would even push things along.

However, when they saw the raging flames above the Norfolk Military Base, a sense of fear towards war rose within them. They had finally come to understand that where there was war, there would be death–not just for people from other countries, but Americans would die too. Perhaps death would suddenly descend upon them…

Yan Fei had no idea what these average American citizens were thinking. All he knew was that the Americans had killed his fiancee, making him and the United States irreconcilable. All the soldiers at these military bases were accomplices of the US Government, so Yan Fei had no psychological burden in eliminating them.

The Drone sped through the sky, the Quantum Radar scanning the fiery naval base below once more. After confirming there were no worthy targets left, the Drone turned and flew towards the Newport News Shipbuilding across the river.

Newport News Shipbuilding was the only comprehensive shipyard in the United States that could manufacture aircraft carriers. If Yan Fei took out this shipyard, the Americans would lose all their capacity to build aircraft carriers. From that point, if the United States lost an aircraft carrier, it would be a true loss, one that could not be made up.

The news of the unidentified attack on the Norfolk Naval Base had already reached Newport News Shipbuilding, and they realized they were in danger. Organizing quickly, they prepared to face a potentially violent attack.

But Newport News Shipbuilding was not part of the United States Army. Although there were US Forces stationed within the shipyard, they couldn't gather in time. So, when Yan Fei's Drone Avatar destroyed the naval base and flew overhead, it saw chaos below. People were running everywhere, unable to organize an effective defense.

He decreased his flight altitude, locked onto his targets, and dropped a multitude of conventional bombs over the docks and factory buildings to replicate his previous success on the naval base.

Just then, a beam of red light shot from the spire of a distinctive building in the shipyard, cutting across the sky and narrowly missing Yan Fei's Drone Avatar as it raced towards space. Although the red beam was dozens of meters away from Yan Fei's Drone Avatar, Yan Fei was startled. He recognized that the red light was actually a laser weapon. Yan Fei's Drone Avatar had been attacked by a laser weapon before, which had sliced the drone into several pieces and caused Yan Fei's Spiritual Soul Tearing. So, when he encountered the incoming laser again, Yan Fei felt an almost heart-stopping sensation.

The United States had always led the world in technology. They had undoubtedly miniaturized and operationalized laser weapons. Not to mention Newport News Shipbuilding–being the United States' last aircraft carrier manufacturing factory–even the just-targeted Norfolk Naval Base was likely equipped with such laser weapons. However, the Drone Avatar's stealth capability was too strong, and the shipyard's radar simply couldn't lock onto the Drone Avatar's position. They could only fire lasers wildly, hoping to get lucky and hit the Drone by tracking the trajectory of the bombs in the sky.

But such a blind, cat-catching-mouse gamble was doomed to fail. The lasers fired came close to the Drone Avatar, but they missed, instead revealing the position of the Laser Weapon Launch Position.

After detecting the danger, the Drone Avatar rapidly increased its Flight Altitude and locked onto the building below firing the lasers, launching an AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missile. Amidst the ongoing massive explosions at the Factory, the AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missile swiftly headed for the Laser Weapon Launch Position. Upon impact, it utterly destroyed the Weapon Array, obliterating the laser weapon within.
