Chapter 1154: Chapter 458 All Sunk_2 Chapter 1154: Chapter 458 All Sunk_2 Realizing that the Bush Aircraft Carrier showed no reaction after four of the main warships had been instantly sunk, the remaining two Perry-class Frigates became panicked. However, their anti-missile weapons were too late to reload and had no ability to counterattack. They instinctively moved closer to the Aircraft Carrier, hoping to gain the protection of the Bush Aircraft Carrier.

They were destined to be disappointed, though, as the sky flashed continuously with fire, and five missiles appeared out of thin air. These missiles were not detected by the radar screens on the warships, but their trails were clearly visible. They flew rapidly towards their targets–the two Perry-class Frigates.

With a flash of light, the AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missiles evaded the angles of attack from the dense close-defense guns, striking the Perry-class Frigates at the waterline. These frigates were the lowest level of escort ship, with defense capabilities far inferior to those of the US destroyers and cruisers. Just one AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missile inflicted severe damage on them, causing rapid sinking.

The two Perry-class Frigates consumed only two AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missiles; the other three were directed towards the last “support level” Comprehensive Supply Ship.

Though not a combat warship, the “support level” Comprehensive Supply Ship was built as sturdy as a regular combat warship. With a total tonnage of over 50,000 tons, it could be considered one of the main warships of the United States. However, after the destruction of all escorting warships, this unarmed supply ship met a tragic fate.

The three AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missiles struck the Supply Ship from three different locations. Violent explosions happened onboard, followed by the accompanying ammunition detonating. In mere minutes, the massive 50,000-ton vessel disintegrated and sank beneath the sea surface.

Yan Fei's lightning strike had eliminated all warships except the Bush Aircraft Carrier using a mere 45 AGM-114 Anti-Tank Missiles and 15 AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missiles. The total ammunition expended was only 29.7 tons, less than one third of the Drone Avatar's total carrying capacity.

Yet, this 29.7 tons of ammunition had achieved a resounding victory. However, the battle was not over yet, as the core of the fleet, the Bush Aircraft Carrier, had not sunk, and four US submarines lay hidden beneath the sea surface. But with the destruction of all escort warships and the complete failure of the electronic devices on the Bush Aircraft Carrier, it too was destined to be sunk by Yan Fei.

After eliminating the threat from the escort warships, the Drone Avatar lowered its flight altitude to 1000 meters above the sea surface. Under the lock of the Quantum Radar, five AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missiles descended from the sky, striking the Bush Aircraft Carrier from five different directions.

The Bush Aircraft Carrier also detected the incoming missiles with their trails, but with its electronic devices non-operational, it could only revert to the most primitive method of manual observation. Using manpower, the ship operated the dense close-in weapon system, firing at the incoming flares in a final desperate struggle.

The US Forces were not entirely out of luck–somehow, using Canon Rounds to shoot at high-speed stealth missiles in the dark night sky, they managed to destroy one of the AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missiles. However, the other four AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missiles were not so easily dealt with. They struck the Bush Aircraft Carrier with ferocious force, setting off violent explosions.

After the explosions subsided, huge flames engulfed the Aircraft Carrier, with Damage Control Personnel running everywhere, trying to extinguish the fires. Yet to Yan Fei's surprise, the Bush Aircraft Carrier withstood the impact of four high-power missiles without sustaining catastrophic damage and continued to float on the sea surface.

Reflecting on previous information about the United States' protective measures for its own carriers, Yan Fei finally understood the terrifying extent of the US Aircraft Carrier's defenses. The AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missile, which could sink a main US warship with just two hits, had hit four times but to no avail against the Bush Aircraft Carrier.

However, Yan Fei was not in a rush. With the Bush Aircraft Carrier having lost the majority of its retaliatory force, it was now like a lamb to the slaughter. The Drone Avatar still had plenty of ammunition, and as long as the attacks continued, the Aircraft Carrier would ultimately be unable to escape destruction. Thus, Yan Fei launched another ten AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missiles, attacking the Bush Aircraft Carrier from even more directions.

In the first wave of attacks on the carrier, all carrier-based aircraft on the Bush Aircraft Carrier's deck had been destroyed, and all exposed weapon equipment was also obliterated by the Drones. At this point, the Bush Aircraft Carrier had actually lost its ability to fight back. It could only watch helplessly as enemy missiles targeted and struck.

The ten AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missiles inevitably hit the Bush Aircraft Carrier, the vessel plunging into a series of intense chain explosions, the entire hull engulfed in flames. After the explosions ended, Yan Fei was surprised to find that, despite looking pitiful and completely ablaze, even listing and flooding with sea water, and with personnel losses nearly complete, the Bush Aircraft Carrier still hadn't sunk. It stubbornly floated on the surface, demonstrating its extraordinary resistance to attack.

Yan Fei was truly astonished–fifteen AGM-129 Stealth Cruise Missiles had failed to sink the Bush Aircraft Carrier. After all, the same number of missiles had already sunk all of the other warships besides the Bush Aircraft Carrier.
