Chapter 1109
Chapter 1109: Chapter 442: Battle of Strength Chapter 1109: Chapter 442: Battle of Strength After taking down the eerily powerful Professor Gale, Yan Fei's resolve had strengthened even more as he continued to sprint forward on the desolate land. Originally, Yan Fei's destination was the massive peak reaching as high as 20,000 meters on the distant horizon, but he was later lured off course by Gale. However, after dealing with the bother Gale had caused, Yan Fei returned to the correct path, once again heading toward his intended destination.
Since entering the mysterious Light Portal, Yan Fei had been separated from Captain China and Gu Xiaolan. Yan Fei had traveled such a long distance in this strange space but hadn't found any trace of Captain China or Gu Xiaolan, nor had he encountered any of those God-Level Experts. To find his companions, Yan Fei had to aim for the summit of the mountain ahead, not only because it was high, with a far view, but also because it was a very obvious target that everyone would instinctively converge upon.
The space was as vast and empty as ever, without any signs of life, dead silent, even time seemed to have halted as the light in the sky above had not changed at all…
Yan Fei sprinted at full speed, quickly covering another fifty kilometers. After climbing over a 5,000-meter tall mountain, he discovered a vast battlefield on the slope ahead, one where terrific forces had created huge pits and collapsed mountain masses, almost as if the heavens had shattered and the earth had split.
However, this battlefield was very quiet now; it had existed for many years. The combatants were gigantic Unknown Creatures and mysterious High-tech Armor. At least three massive skeletons of the Unknown Creatures were left on the battlefield, clearly having died a horrible death as their bones were scattered in pieces.
What delighted Yan Fei was that he actually found a High-tech Armor that had been torn apart on this battlefield. Although the armor was ripped and damaged, it was much more intact than any High-tech Armor Yan Fei had found before and held great research value. At first glance, this piece of High-tech Armor seemed to be of the same model as the armor wreckage he had found earlier.
As Yan Fei entered the vast battlefield, he did not pay much attention to the skeletons of the Unknown Creatures; after all, those huge creatures had been dead for tens of thousands of years, and all the bioactive substances inside them had disappeared, making the bones of little use to him. His interest lay in the High-tech Armor, which contained technology far surpassing Earth's current standards. Even with Dream Island's current Technological Level and the mini-production workshop of the Drones, they could not produce this kind of High-tech Armor.
Yan Fei hoped to find something useful on this piece of High-tech Armor, or to discover the technology embedded within it. If he could find the armor's data center or data library and combine it with the Materials needed to manufacture High-tech Armor, he could substantially elevate Dream Island's Technological Level and might even propel Dream Island into the Interstellar Era all at once.
Coming across the High-tech Armor, Yan Fei found it severely damaged with claw and bite marks left by Unknown Creatures all over it. Although it lay on the ground, the armor still exerted an immense sense of pressure; it stood at least twenty meters tall and had a form quite similar to humans. Despite the ravages of time, its body still shimmered with a mysterious light, as if showing Yan Fei the extraordinary Martial Force it once possessed…
Yan Fei did not know whether this odd space was still on Earth, but he could be certain that the High-tech Armor had a very high level of Technology and was definitely beyond the manufacturing capabilities of current Earth humans. It either originated from an ancient Technological Civilization on Earth or came from the Cosmic Starry Sky.
After discovering this High-tech Armor, Yan Fei gained a new understanding of human history. There must have been an incredibly powerful High-tech Civilization on Earth tens of thousands of years ago, as can be seen from the special Items containing High-tech Technology discovered by various powerful nations. It remained a mystery why this Technological Civilization had suddenly disappeared tens of thousands of years ago.
Yan Fei did nothing more than sigh briefly before he briskly approached the High-tech Armor to inspect it. If his Universal Space were still functional, he could have simply stored the armor in it and brought it back to Dream Island for analysis. However, unable to use his Universal Space, Yan Fei had no choice but to search inside and take away the most crucial key Items. After all, the total weight of this High-tech Armor was at least fifty tons, making it impossible for Yan Fei to take it out of this space.
After the bad luck brought by Professor Gale, Yan Fei's luck was exceptionally good this time. With a cursory check, he found a transparent Cockpit located at the chest of the High-tech Armor, which still contained a human skeleton remarkably similar to humans. Behind the human skeleton, Yan Fei spotted a black, square object resembling a Data Hard Drive.
Yan Fei was overjoyed, carefully opening the Cockpit to find that after tens of thousands of years of corrosion, the High-tech Armor had become extremely fragile. With just a bit of effort, he was able to dismantle the entire Cockpit. He removed the human skeleton from inside the cockpit and detached the object similar to a Data Hard Drive, finding that it weighed only about ten kilograms but was extremely sturdy. Despite continual erosion by Oxygen, this Data Hard Drive remained undamaged.
