Sparks erupted in the dark night sky, and within a short span, the eight Japan F-15J Fighters, four F-16s, and six F-4s on patrol duty were all shot down by missiles of unknown provenance.

Even six of Japan's most advanced F-35 stealth fighters, hidden at high altitude, could not escape the fate of being downed by the sudden appearance of the mysterious missiles.
