Super Invincible Battleship -
Chapter 1022
Chapter 1022: Chapter 409 Bat Cloud Cluster_3 Chapter 1022: Chapter 409 Bat Cloud Cluster_3 Yan Fei was taken aback; he had not expected that the Bat Cloud could actually shape-shift into arms and contend equally with the Lieutenant Colonel. Once the space above had stabilized, Yan Fei noticed that the Bat Cloud Cluster had vanished, replaced by a young man dressed in black. This young man seemed able to fly out of thin air as he charged swiftly towards the Lieutenant Colonel, who met him head-on. The two clashed fiercely in midair.
Seeing that the Man in Black, transformed from a bat swarm, could engage in a deadlock with the Lieutenant Colonel at such an altitude, Yan Fei immediately realized that this Man in Black was also a God-Level Expert. Today was truly an eye-opener for Yan Fei; it was rare to encounter a single God-level Expert, let alone two appearing at once. Most crucially, he had never seen either of these experts before, as if they had suddenly materialized out of nowhere.
Yan Fei had heard of the Lieutenant Colonel before but had always imagined the persona to be a robust man exuding a military air. He had never expected the Lieutenant Colonel to be a seventeen or eighteen-year-old cute young girl. As for the Bat Man, he was even more astonishing, having transformed from a vast Bat Cloud. Shouldn't this be the world of science and technology? Since when did beings akin to monsters start to appear?
The Lieutenant Colonel's intent was clear; she was there to kill Yan Fei. But what was the purpose of the Bat Man? Judging by appearance, the Bat Man was obviously Western. Yan Fei knew very few Westerners, so he could be certain that the Bat Man was not an acquaintance. Then why did the Bat Man suddenly appear to block the Lieutenant Colonel's pursuit – what was his ultimate goal? Was it possible that the Bat Man was there to help Yan Fei? Otherwise, why would he appear at such a critical moment?
Regardless of the Bat Man's intent, with him intercepting the Lieutenant Colonel's pursuit, Yan Fei finally had a chance to catch his breath. Under his control, the topmost Drone swiftly descended, positioning itself below Yan Fei and opening its cockpit hatch. In the nick of time, it caught Yan Fei, who was about to plunge into the sea and then accelerated forward, converting the immense downward momentum into forward kinetic energy. The Drone Avatar didn't stop Yan Fei's descent until they had traveled more than ten nautical miles, sparing him from a fatal crash.
Yan Fei was gravely injured by the Lieutenant Colonel, already teetering on the brink of unconsciousness. However, the sight of the black-clad man who had shape-shifted from a bat had jolted his spirit, focusing his attention and temporarily staving off the danger of passing out. After being caught by the Drone Avatar, however, Yan Fei's mind relaxed, and his spirit once again succumbed to exhaustion, on the verge of unconsciousness.
Through the cockpit of the Drone, Yan Fei could still see the fierce battle between the Lieutenant Colonel and the Bat Man in the sky. But due to his serious injuries, his eyes began to flood with blood, and he could no longer see the specifics of the combat. Nevertheless, considering both were God-level Experts, it was unlikely that a winner would emerge in a short span…
Then Yan Fei's vision began to darken, and he knew he was about to lose consciousness. For the sake of safety, in the very instant before he completely blacked out, he instructed the Auxiliary Brain to command the Drone to immediately dive into the ocean depths and hover motionlessly at its maximum depth.
Subsequently, Yan Fei left a message with the Auxiliary Brain for the Artificial Intelligence “Dream” to immediately activate Dream Island's ultimate defense system, to ensure the absolute security of Dream Island, then to wait for his return.
Yan Fei held on just long enough to issue these two orders. He had not had the chance to see the Drone execute any specific actions before he succumbed to the endless darkness of unconsciousness.
