The primary medicine of the Living Soul Pill requires three kinds of Lingcao, two of which Peter Brown grows in his field. However, the only challenge lies in the plants’ age, which is not an issue for Peter. He could simply employ aging methods to cultivate them. Peter also has an easy access to standard Lingcao, which he grows in his field as well. Now, the only Lingcao Peter lacks is the Sacred Herb.

Peter never really expected that there would be Lingcao ingredients in an Elixir formula that he wouldn’t be able to gather.

However, after carefully examining the conditions of the Lingcao in the field, Peter came to a realization. The more advanced the cultivator’s realm, the rarer the required Lingcao. The majority of Lingcao that he cultivated was suitable for those at or below the Nascent Soul level. If one surpassed the Nascent Soul level, obtaining Lingcao for the use of high-level cultivators would become much harder.

Peter also noticed another trend. As one’s cultivation improves, even the general Elixirs require Lingcao of an increased age. If it doesn’t meet a certain standard, its medicinal power is insufficient.

After Corey Webster left, Peter started cultivating those Lingcao in the field.

Two hours later, Corey Webster came back somewhat embarrassed.

When Peter glanced at Corey, he asked curiously, "Didn’t you find it?"

Nodding his head, Corey replied, "The Sacred Herb that I know of was purchased by someone from Sun Valley."

Sun Valley?

Peter had never heard of this place before.

Corey explained, "You haven’t been in Qin River City long, so you wouldn’t know. Sun Valley is a transcendent existence. There exist numerous Nascent Soul Experts within their ranks, and rumor has it there is even a Body Integrating Phase expert. Even Master Quartercastle does not dare to provoke anyone from Sun Valley."

"Is the Sacred Herb so hard to find?" Peter wondered if he should avoid the hassle of Sun Valley if there is Sacred Herb elsewhere.

Corey answered, "Yes, it’s true. Nowadays, the Sacred Herb is hard to come by. There aren’t many in Qin River City."

Corey grew hesitant before continuing, "Actually, when I went, the herb hadn’t been sold. However, once I mentioned that you, the City Lord, wanted to purchase it, a few young men from Sun Valley immediately bought it. They said if you’re unhappy, you can negotiate it with them."

Something like this happened!

Peter looked at Corey and instantly understood these young men had targeted him.

"They’re targeting me?"

Corey replied, "I’m not sure of the details. A Nascent Soul expert among them insisted that if you want the herb, you should visit Sun Valley personally, and then took the Sacred Herb and left."

Did something like this happen?

Peter sat there deep in thought. He wondered if he had offended Sun Valley, prompting them to snatch the Lingcao from him.

"City Lord, you are currently at the Golden Core Middle Stage. Realising that you want this kind of Lingcao, anyone would guess that you intend to refine a Living Soul Pill."

At this point, Will Hanson also entered the room, addressing Corey, "I heard you were intercepted by someone from Sun Valley when you were attempting to purchase a Lingcao in the market?"

"Yes, I was initially buying it for the City Lord. I didn’t expect someone from Sun Valley to snatch it away. The person was a Nascent Soul expert, and I didn’t stand much of a chance."

Will Hanson curled his lips in disdain, thinking that Corey had no chance at all, not just ’not much of a chance’!

"What’s your take on this?" Peter glanced at Will.

Will said, "After I found out, I did some investigation and came across a piece of news. Apparently, one of Chris Walter’s daughters got married to the young Valley Master of Sun Valley."

So that’s how it is!

Only then did Peter realize what was going on. All this while, there was more to the situation than met the eye.

"City Lord, as per the rumors, Sun Valley does harbour experts at the Body Integrating Phase, and not merely one. Even though you have killed an expert at this phase before, I don’t believe the experts in Sun Valley will regard your combat ability as formidable."

Corey added earnestly, "Since one of Chris Walter’s daughters managed to marry into Sun Valley, it’s impossible for Sun Valley to be devoid of Body Integrating Phase experts, considering Chris Walter’s approach. They want to lead you into Sun Valley!"

Will added, "City Lord, it’s pretty obvious. By intercepting the herb, they intend to lure you there. The consequences if you decide to go there are unpredictable."

Peter acknowledged, "Indeed, it’s all clear now. The young Valley Master must be behind this. Since he’s unsure whether he can defeat me, he’s trying to lure me into Sun Valley. Once I set foot there, the experts of Sun Valley will come after me."

Once Peter figured out what was going on, he heaved a sigh of relief. His worst fear was stepping in unprepared and without any information.

"City Lord, even though the Sacred Herb is hard to find, it’s not impossible. If we take our time searching, we will find it eventually. I believe you can’t be the one to make the first move."

Both of them were worried that Peter would rush into things out of impulsiveness.

With a smile, Peter stated, "Now that I know it’s a trap, I won’t be in a hurry to walk into it. Now, I need to start getting prepared."

Then, turning to both of them, he asked, "Does the Cultivation World have any specific venues for Crossing Tribulation?"

His question was slightly off-track, and both Will and Corey exchanged glances, unable to keep up with Peter’s train of thought.

Still, Will replied, "Crossing Tribulation in the wild in the Cultivation World does present many unpredictable risks. Therefore, there are several venues designed for people to Crossing Tribulation safely. Skyview City, not far from our three cities, happens to possess a Tribulation Field. People often go there to Crossing Tribulation."

"Is it safe?"

"Yes, it’s widely acknowledged as a safe haven. The Tribulation Field, controlled by the Tribulation Association, is completely secure. However, embellishing during Tribulation requires hefty fees. Once the fee is paid, the Association will send experts to ensure their safety."

"Are spectators allowed?"

"Certainly, spectators are allowed. Numerous people visit to accumulate experience on Crossing Tribulation. However, they need to pay a large sum of cultivation coins."

Peter began to grow curious about such an organization.

"Do you have any idea about this specific organization, the Tribulation Association?"
