Victory!

The people of Qin River City never expected that Peter Brown would turn the tide of a seemingly lost battle and create a winning situation. They all stood there, unsure of what to do next.

It was Peter who remained clear-headed, shouting to everyone, "Kill the Black Force Army!"

Though the high-level fighters of the Black Force Army were dead, many low-level cultivators still remained. If they were not dealt with, victory could not be truly claimed.

"Right, kill them!"

An elder Nascent Soul stage old man yelled out and charged towards the alive members of the Black Force Army.

"Kill!"

As if suddenly infused with great power, the people of Qin River City all pounced on the enemy.

If the high-level fighters of the Black Force Army were still alive, they might have had some fighting spirit left. But seeing their comrades suddenly dying one by one with their heads exploding, the rest were scared into submission.

"We surrender, we surrender!"

No one knew who started it, but the members of the Black Force Army all knelt down, raising their hands in surrender.

The people of Qin River City were bewildered once again, as their victory came so quickly.

Will Hanson and Corey Webster both looked at Peter Brown with reverence. They too, hadn’t expected such an outcome, which made Peter seem even more mysterious to them.

However, upon remembering their close relationship with Peter, they both stood taller.

"Elder, what should we do next?" One of the Nascent Soul stage old men paid respects to Peter with a bow, showing his respect.

"There’s no need for such formality, I am the junior here," Peter hurriedly bowed in return.

"In the Cultivation World, the strong are respected regardless of age. You led everyone to victory; naturally, you are our elder," the old man stubbornly insisted.

At this moment, another elder Nascent Soul stage man also stepped forward, "Indeed, Elder Wang, if it weren’t for you, today’s situation would have been completely different, and our lives would have been worse than death!"

Seeing the dead bodies of those high-level fighters who had been controlled by Chris Walter, everyone imagined their possible fate after defeat, and couldn’t help but feel afraid.

As they moved, Peter noticed that many high-level fighters of Qin River City had gathered, probably around three hundred people in total.

With more than a hundred people by his side, Peter headed in the direction of the River Mountain Sect.

"Peter, these are our sect members!"

Along the way, they saw many fallen members of the River Mountain Sect.

"Sect Lord!"

Will Hanson suddenly spotted Robert Lee on the ground, and rushed over quickly.

Peter immediately investigated and exclaimed, "He’s still breathing."

However, Will shook his head, "It’s too late!"

After being fed an elixir by Will, Robert Lee woke up. Glancing at Peter and the others, he tightly grabbed Will’s hand saying, "What’s the situation with the sect?"

Will replied, "We don’t know yet."

Disappointment filled Robert Lee’s eyes as he tightened his grip on Will’s hand and said, "Carry on our inheritance."

Having spoken, he died.

Peter had already seen Robert Lee’s Elixir Sea shattered, his entire body exploded and severely injured. If not for his astonishing willpower, he should have died long before. Now that he had spoken his last words, his remaining strength was exhausted.

For some time after, Peter led everyone to investigate the various locations within the city. They found the bodies of the River Mountain Sect’s high-level fighters, but they had all become lifeless corpses.

When they arrived at the River Mountain Sect, they saw that everything inside the sect had been looted, with nothing spared.

With a sigh, Corey Webster said, "If it weren’t for Peter, we would have been corpses too!"

When they arrived at the City Lord’s Mansion, they saw the two elder Nascent Soul stage old men already waiting there with their forces.

"Where is the City Lord?" Peter asked immediately.

With a sigh, one of the old men replied, "Master Quartercastle has been killed by Chris Walter."

The City Lord was dead!

As Peter looked at the others, he realized that most of them had been rescued by him, and very few of the City Lord’s high-level subordinates remained.

At this moment, one of the old men looked at Peter and said, "Elder Wang, given the current situation in Qin River City, with it being destroyed by Chris Walter and now left without a City Lord, there is chaos everywhere. Therefore, we need someone to take over as the new City Lord."

Peter wasn’t particularly concerned about this matter, so he told the two old men, "Both of you are Nascent Soul stage elders. You can discuss this matter amongst yourselves. My opinion is that one of you should be chosen as the new City Lord."

"No, Elder Wang, at the moment, there is only one person in Qin River City who can win everyone’s trust, and that is you. Liu Ting and I have discussed this, and we are willing to follow your command. Please take on the position of City Lord."

Another elder added, "Elder Wang, my name is Harold Bell. Liu Ting and I are both willing to follow your commands. Please become the new City Lord."

It was only now that Peter learned their names.

"Please, Elder Wang, become the new City Lord."

The people Peter had saved all looked at him with clasped fists.

If Peter, the one capable of killing a Union old monster, became the City Lord, everyone would have more confidence.

In any case, Peter knew that he had no choice but to become the City Lord.
