Chapter 974: Chapter 974: The Last Basic Assessment (5th update!)
"Today is our last mock exam for senior year, I hope all of you do well."
A few uneventful days passed, and Flora Nelson addressed her students before handing out the exam papers.
The poor class they were in had become the most dazzling one in the school during this time, and the atmosphere had changed drastically. Almost half of the 45 students in the class had made rapid progress, and the school wanted to see the actual situation of everyone.
As for the exam, Peter Brown didn’t care much; he took the paper and finished it as quickly as possible.
Landon Smith and others finished their exams quickly too, turning in their papers shortly after Peter.
Once the day’s exams were over, Moon Smith asked in a low voice, "How did it go?"
"How did it go for you?"
Excited, Moon answered, "Your cultivation technique is really amazing. I feel like no problem can stop me now."
Peter smiled, "That’s a good thing."
"By the way, my mom is almost done acquiring those businesses. Who knew the Weir Family’s estate was so good? The Owen Family is also very supportive in getting this done."
After thinking it over, Peter handed Moon a bottle of Elixirs, "Give this bottle to that old man from the Owen family. After taking it, he should be able to break through to Qi Refining Fourth Level."
Moon knew this was a favor from Peter and expressed her gratitude, "You’ve helped us so much. This Elixir is valuable."
Peter chuckled, "It’s just a bottle, not a big deal for me."
At that moment, Elian Collins came over and asked, "Peter, we’ll probably get high scores in the college entrance examination. Which university are you going to apply for?"
Peter replied, "I haven’t really decided yet. I might go to Kingston and attend Kingston University."
"That’s great, I’ll let everyone know to put this university as their first choice."
Peter laughed, amazed at how these students had set their sights high after being poor students just a few months ago.
Elian grinned, "Who says a poor class can’t make it? Let’s show them our grades."
Flora approached Peter and asked, "How did you and the others do?"
Max Evans replied, "Of course we did well. Our class ranking should improve significantly this time."
Flora smiled, "I’m glad, I hope you all keep it up until the college entrance examination."
Arriving at the class the next day, Peter immediately noticed a peculiar atmosphere.
As Spencer spotted Peter, he excitedly said, "Peter, our class’s performance this time was amazing! The teachers graded the papers last night and guess what? You ranked first, followed by Moon, then Elian. After that, it’s us! The top 20 ranked students are all from our class! The others, like Edward Lee, are behind us. Haha!"
Looking at the classmates he had tutored, they all were smiling, and even their girlfriends were excitedly gossiping about it.
As they were talking, Flora walked in with an excited expression, announcing the grades before telling the class, "You guys did great this time. With your current performance, getting into a good university won’t be a problem. Keep up the good work!"
Peter sat there, his Divine Sense immersed in his Qi Refining under the navel. He didn’t dwell much on the scores; achieving good results wasn’t too difficult for him. Instead, he wondered whether or not he should have spent so much time in the class, as it felt like a waste.
However, Peter knew he had to resolve his deep desire to attend a good university, or it would continue to haunt him as his cultivation progressed.
He decided to focus on the college entrance examination first!
Although Peter didn’t take the exam very seriously, it meant a great deal for the school.
Everyone knew that the reason the poor class performed so well this time was due to Peter’s cultivation technique. However, they also knew from last time that Peter wouldn’t share the technique publicly, or it would cause an uproar at the school.
The school principal, Nolan Smith, sighed, realizing there was nothing they could do about Peter.
Fortunately, Peter had taught his technique to several other students, which would likely improve the school’s overall performance.
When the principal received another call from The Higher-Ups asking about Peter’s cultivation technique, he couldn’t say anything. They wanted him to persuade Peter to share the technique, but it was Peter’s private property; no one could force him to share it.
Thinking of the incident between Peter and the arrogant Ryan Armstrong, Nolan couldn’t help but get a headache. If those arrogant people hadn’t provoked Peter at the time, the technique might have already been shared.
"Mr. Carter, call Peter over. I need to talk to him."
After class, Nolan called for Flora, asking her to bring Peter to the principal’s office.
When Peter entered the office, the principal greeted him with a smile, "Peter, you did great in the exams!"
Peter suspected that the principal wanted to discuss the cultivation technique, but he didn’t mind sharing it with others. If it weren’t for Ryan’s arrogance, he wouldn’t have hesitated to share the technique.
That’s when Peter had an idea: perhaps sharing the technique could be considered a good deed. Just like the Hope School’s proposal to build a stele – this might be possible. As long as those who learned his technique knew his name and silently recited it in their minds, they would receive various benefits.
As expected, Principal Nolan brought up sharing the cultivation technique.
Peter smiled, "Principal, the college entrance examination can serve as a test. If the scores are good, we can discuss this with The Higher-Ups. However, as you know, my cultivation technique isn’t ordinary. I’d prefer discussing the matter with the leaders in Kingston."
Nolan gave a bitter smile, realizing that Peter thought he wasn’t high-level enough. However, he didn’t care who Peter talked to, as long as he could report the matter to The Higher-Ups.
