Chapter 903: Chapter 903: Some Secrets of the Heavenly Dao

Looking at the pile of jade slips before him, Peter Brown sighed.

During this period, the only thing Peter had been doing was searching for information about the Heavenly Dao in the Scripture Tower. He had dug out all relevant jade slips.

After searching, Peter finally found a record of a way of return in a jade slip. Actually, it didn’t record much. It only introduced that the Heavenly Dao is a road of retrogression, at least for cultivators. In other words, the journey from Earth to the Cultivation World is a one-way trip. There is no return journey; the only way back is to achieve immortality. If one becomes an immortal and uses the Immortal’s power to build a path, they can return. However, this is highly impractical. How many people can actually achieve immortality?

Sitting in his chair, Peter Brown was lost in thought for a while. He was deeply concerned about his return to Earth. It wasn’t that he lacked confidence, but he worried that even if he achieved immortality one day, his family would have already passed away.

Leaving the Scripture Tower, Peter Brown strolled with his hands behind his back, contemplating what he could possibly do.

Indeed, the first step would be to practice cultivation vigorously, then achieve immortality and return. Another possibility was to gather more Immortal power and use it to build a path back to Earth.

Immortal Power is a kind of energy that can break through all barriers. If he truly intends to construct a Heavenly Dao, he may need an enormous amount of Immortal Power.

In this regard, Peter held some hope. Although others might not be able to do it, he could. The only issue was that obtaining Immortal Power was a challenge.

Maybe this truly was a direction to consider!

"Elder Wang, have you been spending all your time in the Scripture Tower recently?" Upon hearing Peter’s departure from the Scripture Tower, Samuel Hanson quickly made his way over.

"Yes, I’ve been trying to understand the affairs of the Cultivation World. As you know, I came from the mountains, so I’m not entirely clear about things related to the Cultivation World."

During their conversation, the two returned to Peter’s residence.

Just as Isaiah Bell was about to call a servant to make tea, Peter gestured with his hand: "I have some Spiritual Tea here, let me make it."

Seeing Peter take out some Spiritual Tea from his ring, Samuel Hanson was surprised. "How come your tea is so rich in spiritual energy? This is a high-quality tea that’s hard to buy!"

Actually, Peter had already noticed some things. Just like Earth, the Cultivation World had its fair share of counterfeit goods. Many so-called Spiritual Teas didn’t contain much spiritual energy. His tea was entirely homegrown and, combined with the Concentrated Spirit Liquid and the aging effect of the Land of Decay, was naturally full of spiritual energy.

Taking a sip of the tea, Samuel Hanson sighed: "Just selling this kind of tea would make you a fortune."

The two chatted casually, and the topic was steered by Peter towards the Heavenly Dao.

"Brother Wang, no one really knows whether our world is a star planet or a piece of land because it’s too vast. So vast that even Mahayana stage experts can’t fully comprehend its size."

"Mahayana stage experts should be able to traverse the void, right? Once they reach the stars, they should be able to see what the Earth is like, shouldn’t they?"

Shaking his head, Samuel Hanson explained: "No, even if they reach their limits, they still can’t see if the Earth has edges. Some even traverse for decades but still can’t see the end. You can imagine just how gigantic this Earth is!"

Shocked was evident in Peter’s eyes, his knowledge from Earth unable to explain this phenomenon.

"Brother Wang, actually, some experts have speculated that our world seems to have some kind of connection and path to various spatial dimensions. Therefore, no matter how much they traverse, they can’t reach the edge. Eventually, no one continues with this."

"What is the Heavenly Dao really about? Have cultivators from other places entered through the Heavenly Dao?"

"There certainly are. The Heavenly Dao indeed exists. However, where the Heavenly Dao leads to, nobody knows. Occasionally, a cultivator is suddenly teleported from somewhere. But the Heavenly Dao only allows one-way teleportation, and its entrance isn’t fixed. Nobody can locate the teleportation site."

At this point, he slapped his forehead: "There is actually one among your hired personnel who came through the Heavenly Dao."

Such a thing existed?

Seeing the surprised look on Peter’s face, Samuel Hanson explained: "There’s nothing strange about that. There are so many people from the Lower Realm. They exist on every dimension. However, they inherently lack a lot, even if they’re teleported here, their cultivation level isn’t very high. There are many of these people, whom we call ’Black Residents,’ in the Cultivation World. They mostly work as hired personnel and don’t have much room for growth."

Peter looked at Isaiah Bell and ordered: "Call the one who came through the Heavenly Dao here."

After not too long, a beautiful-looking woman was brought over.

At first glance, Peter noticed a considerable amount of sadness in the woman’s eyes.

Looking at her expression, Peter sighed. This woman must have been quite a figure in her own dimension. She had probably assumed that once she ascended the Heavenly Dao, she’d have greater prospects, but had ended up a hired hand in the Cultivation World. The gap between expectation and reality must be massive for her.

"Greetings, Master." The woman who looked to be in her 30s or 40s lowered herself slightly toward Peter, showing a respectful demeanor.

"No need for formalities. We were discussing the Heavenly Dao today, and since you came through the Heavenly Dao, could you tell me about it?" Peter asked with a smile.

The woman seemed to be recalling something: "Since Master wants to know, I will spare no detail."

"Please sit."

Peter asked her to sit down and even passed her a cup of Spiritual Tea.

Upon seeing the Spiritual Tea, the woman’s eyes lit up. Given her current circumstances, she could hardly ever get a taste of Spiritual Tea filled with so much spiritual energy.

"Master, what we know back there is that there are two dimensions in the Cultivation World - the Lower Cultivation Realm and the True Cultivation Realm. I happened to be from the Lower Cultivation Realm. To ascend the Heavenly Dao from the Lower Cultivation realm, one must reach the Nascent Soul Stage. I ascended the Heavenly Dao after reaching the Nascent Soul Stage."

This was the first time Peter heard that the Lower Cultivation Realm also had a Heavenly Dao. He glanced at the woman and saw that she was only at the Qi Refining Second Layer. He thought that she must have lost a lot of cultivation base on the path of the Heavenly Dao.

Samuel Hanson smiled, "Brother Wang, you don’t know, but when people from the Lower Cultivation Realm are in the Heavenly Dao, the True Qi from their core will be stripped away. Therefore, they will have very little True Qi."

This was new information. Peter found himself struggling to understand it and looked at Samuel Hanson for an explanation.
