Chapter 822: Chapter 822: Creating a Commotion in the Left Chancellor’s Mansion
In a suburban area, Peter Brown found a mountain and dug into the depths of the ground using Earth Drilling Escape, where he built an underground space.
After setting up a Concealment Formation, Peter placed the pre-prepared teleportation formation disk, followed by the installation process.
Having become extremely proficient in the installation of teleportation formations, Peter finished setting it up in no time.
After setting the interstellar coordinates, Peter saw the teleportation formation emit a light, extending like a pointer towards the Star Planet in the sky.
It’s done!
Now, the teleportation formation is complete.
If the distant planet remains in existence, this path should work without issues. However, if there’s a problem with the planet, he would need to go to another planet in between and set up another teleportation formation so that the path remains open.
Now more than ever, Peter wanted to teleport back to intercept, but considering that he could always teleport faster than his enemy, he resisted the impulse.
It was time to deal with Left Chancellor and his cohorts.
Leaving the underground space, Peter quickly headed in the direction of Left Chancellor’s Mansion.
Traveling on the way, Peter used a type of running technique that was inconspicuous. Most of the cultivators here used this method to travel as well.
In no time, Peter arrived near Left Chancellor’s Mansion.
As dusk fell, Peter cast an Invisibility Talisman and sneaked into the mansion.
"Who’s there?"
Unexpectedly, someone here could see through Peter’s invisibility.
Without hesitation, Peter teleported away from the mansion.
When he reappeared, he was at a square, watching the bustling crowd. He frowned, having not expected someone in Left Chancellor’s Mansion to spot him even with the Invisibility Talisman.
With a thought, Peter used Earth Drilling Escape to burrow underground.
When he resurfaced at the mansion again, his Divine Sense detected that the place was heavily guarded.
It seemed his previous attempted infiltration had attracted Left Chancellor’s attention!
However, Peter didn’t care; he had many means to deal with this situation, and guard or no guard at the mansion wouldn’t make any difference.
In fact, Peter had already considered that he would need to strategize against Left Chancellor instead of a full-frontal assault. Forcing him to let go of Earth would be enough, as the bigger picture was more important.
Of course, if Peter didn’t scare Left Chancellor, a peaceful resolution would be impossible.
Emerging in a secluded area, Peter came to the surface.
With a sweep of his Divine Sense, he spotted a large courtyard ahead.
After some investigation, he found this place to be the ancestral temple of Left Chancellor’s Mansion.
Seeing this, Peter took out a Heaven-turning Thunder and threw it at the temple.
Right after, he burrowed underground.
Boom!
A shocking explosion resounded, engulfing the whole temple in ruins.
This was a defective Heaven-turning Thunder Peter had made earlier. Though its power was lacking compared to a genuine one, the damage it could cause to Left Chancellor’s Mansion was still immense.
At the time, Alvin Smith, Left Chancellor, was reading in his study. The explosion caused his entire study room to crumble.
Alvin Smith, a Golden Core expert, dodged the blast, but his clothes were left riddled with holes.
Seeing the Smith Family members escaping the chaos, Alvin’s expression darkened.
This incident was beyond his imaginations.
"Alvin Smith, this is just the first blast, let’s see how long you can hide. This is what you get for targeting my Earth!"
After the explosion, Peter appeared in the air above Smith Manor, shouting his threat at Alvin.
"It’s Peter Brown!"
Alvin widened his eyes as he saw Peter in the sky.
"You’re dead!"
Furious, Alvin took to the air, charging at Peter without caring about his identity as Left Chancellor.
Boom!
Alvin threw a punch.
Peter didn’t dodge, retaliating with a punch of his own.
Their fists collided in mid-air with intense force.
Powerful True Qi swirled, causing intense flames to be generated from the friction in the air.
"Goodbye!"
After their fist exchange, Alvin was shocked that Peter wasn’t injured.
At this point, Peter pulled out a Teleportation Talisman and vanished.
Seeing the empty sky and the spot where Peter had just been, Alvin’s expression darkened even further.
Originally thinking that with Left Chancellor’s Mansion’s power, dealing with a person at the initial stage of Foundation Establishment wouldn’t be a problem, Alvin had never truly taken Peter seriously.
However, their brief exchange of punches changed Alvin’s perception of Peter.
Peter was definitely not just an ordinary initial stage of Foundation Establishment cultivator; he must have hidden his actual cultivation!
With this thought, considering the situation inside the mansion, Alvin couldn’t help but worry.
With Peter’s means of escape, if he allowed him to continue bombing his mansion, it would definitely be destroyed. Even he might be killed if he wasn’t careful.
He hadn’t expected this kid to be so difficult!
After Peter left, Alvin returned to the ground, with numerous people coming forward to report on the damage.
Hearing the death toll and the extent of the damage inflicted on Left Chancellor’s Mansion, Alvin’s eyes turned ruthless.
This kid must not be allowed to live!
Alvin gathered the experts to discuss how to deal with Peter.
Now he no longer saw Peter as an easy target.
"Father..."
Lucien Smith, now reduced to a mortal after his Elixir Sea was destroyed by Peter, appeared in a weak and injured state helped by the servants.
Seeing his son, Alvin’s brow furrowed. His son had provoked Peter and suffered the consequences. He didn’t know whether it was right or wrong for him to target Earth for his son’s sake.
To solve this mess, it seemed that Peter had to be finished off.
He recommended a book titled "I Came from the Mortal World" - a book worth reading. "I came from the mortal world, seeking immortality."
