Chapter 225: Chapter 225: CEO_Wang
Mason Reed did have some connections. After making a call, his father’s company sent out many cars, and the over forty classmates came to Flower Creek Fragrance in these cars.
As soon as they got out of the cars, Mason shouted to his classmates, "Today I’m treating, feel free to order whatever you like. The food here is good, I’ve been here a few times. Of course, the prices are not cheap, haha."
"Commissioner Hodges, what kind of standards do we have today? Don’t just give us a few dishes to get rid of us, okay?" said Samuel Wilson, whose father was also a chairman, with a laugh.
Everyone could hear a sour tone in his words, probably because he didn’t appreciate Mason’s boastful attitude.
"As I said, everyone can go wild today. There’ll be good food and wine. By the way, today’s wine is special. It’s a health wine. I specifically requested this kind of wine over the phone. It’s only available through my dad’s connections. After men drink, they get a certain effect, and after women drink, they get a different effect." Mason gestured like he was saying, you guys know what I mean.
One male student said, "Are you serious? If that’s really the case, there won’t be anywhere to go to handle it."
Everyone suddenly burst into laughter, even the beautiful teacher’s face turned slightly red.
"Don’t worry, the wine here is diluted, so it’s just for health benefits. Do you think that kind of wine can be easily obtained? A jar of that wine is worth several million yuan, and even with that much money now you can’t buy it. Dream on!"
At this moment, Mason was in high spirits, and his voice was loud.
Peter looked around, but he couldn’t see Heidi Jones. She probably went with Caden Greenhill to sign a contract for some land today.
Furnished with five tables, the hall was filled with over forty classmates.
Ella Johnson smiled, "Today we eat like kings. Let’s see how our life committee treats us."
Although being their homeroom teacher, she was very much a part of the group with the students after class. The male students flocked around her, constantly chatting and laughing.
"Peter Brown, as the class president, you should order the dishes."
Mason looked at Peter, who had just sat down, and said such a sentence.
"Haven’t you arranged it yet?"
Peter thought Mason had called in advance about this matter.
"Today, you are the class president, so you must order for everyone." Mason said, pushing the menu towards Peter with a playful expression on his face.
Peter glanced at his expression and knew what was going on. This guy knew that he came from a farming background and hadn’t seen much of the world, so he wanted to make Peter feel embarrassed, thinking Peter wouldn’t dare to order the expensive dishes but would make cheap choices, calling him low-class in the process.
Without looking at the menu, Peter looked at the waiter on the side and said with a slight smile, "Alright, I’ll order a few dishes." Then he continuously named the dishes.
These were the dishes Aunt Collins had treated Peter to yesterday. He thought they were quite good, so he ordered them.
After ordering, he said, "Let’s start with these, and we can add more if necessary."
At this point, Mason grabbed the menu and began looking. As he read through it, he started to sweat. Peter had ordered over twenty dishes, all of which were the restaurant’s specialties. Each dish was not cheap, with the most expensive one being nearly 2,000 yuan. With the addition of 200 to 300 yuan dishes, each table cost around five to six thousand yuan. If there were five tables, plus wine, thirty thousand yuan would not be enough.
Mason was hosting the dinner, but although he had money, it was his father’s money. To host a single meal for five tables, it would cost thirty to forty thousand yuan. Initially, he wanted to see Peter make a fool of himself, but now he felt overwhelmed. He looked at Peter and said, "Do you know how much the most expensive dish here costs?"
Mason never thought Peter would dare to order expensive dishes.
Peter shook his head, "I don’t know."
"You don’t know! Do you know, the seafood dish you ordered is nearly two thousand yuan! Each table, with alcohol, will cost six thousand yuan!"
Peter looked at Mason and said, "Isn’t it just forty thousand yuan?"
Mason looked at Peter’s nonchalant attitude and became frustrated. Not caring about the classmates being present, he said in a deep voice, "You’re just a farmer! Your whole family can’t make forty thousand yuan in a year! Even if we sell you, we wouldn’t get that much money!"
Darcy Page said sarcastically, "Who said they’d kill at will? They can’t even afford a 2,000 yuan dish. What are they slaughtering?"
"You!"
Mason angrily stared at Darcy Page.
Now Peter was genuinely angry. This kid targeted him repeatedly just because he had some money.
"Alright, if you can’t afford it, don’t pretend to be capable. I’ll treat everyone for this meal," Peter said in a deep voice.
"What? You’re treating?"
Mason burst out laughing and said, "What are you going to use to treat? I’m telling you, if you eat this meal according to your order, it’ll be at least forty thousand yuan, and you won’t have enough to cover it. You treat? Can you afford it?!"
At this time, Neke Armstrong snorted, "Mason, you’re so disgusting. Even if Peter doesn’t have that much money, we can all chip in to have this meal. What’s the big deal? If it wasn’t for school, tens of thousands of yuan would be nothing to me!"
John Anderson also said, "It’s okay, it’s just a meal. If you’re going to eat, eat well, and if not, everyone can chip in."
Ella Johnson didn’t expect things to escalate to this point and said worriedly, "Peter, don’t order such expensive dishes. Everyone can eat casually."
Peter looked at the worried classmates and laughed, "Since everyone has come to my shop, I can’t help but treat everyone well. Welcome to my little shop. I can still afford to treat everyone to this meal."
"What? What did you say?" Mason looked at Peter.
"This restaurant is yours? Are you kidding?" William Lee looked puzzled.
"Peter, never mind, let’s go somewhere else if it doesn’t work," said Ella Johnson, thinking that Peter was trying to save face by pretending to own the restaurant.
"Haha, how ridiculous! He even dares to say this restaurant is his, Peter Brown, your face is really thick! Do you know how much assets this restaurant has? Do you know how much income it has every day?" Mason now completely ignored the classmates and wanted to utterly embarrass Peter in front of the class.
Just then, Aunt Collins entered the restaurant with Caden, and upon seeing Peter, she smiled.
A waiter had informed her about the situation inside, so she came in to mediate. When she saw that the protagonist was Peter, she wasn’t worried and quickly stepped forward and said, "CEO Wang, you didn’t even mention you were coming to inspect the work."
What?
"CEO Wang?"
Everyone’s eyes turned to Peter.
