Chapter 2202: Chapter 2200: Reactions from All Parties
After a spree of looting, Peter Brown glanced at the chaotic scene around him and smirked to himself, ready to make his departure.
This time around, Peter felt he had truly gained a lot. Everything he intended to do was accomplished, not to mention he also experienced significant upgrades in his powers.
Now that he possessed the Killing Saints Formation, Peter was confident that even if a Saint arrived, he’d have the capability to face them in battle.
Unfortunately, this place was still too far from the Human World; otherwise, he could have considered developing here for a while.
Activating the Elixir Sea for teleportation, Peter began to teleport continuously.
As Peter left, the Beast Clan descended into madness, frantically searching for the individuals who had caused the chaos.
The Saints from various factions were calculating with their fingers, yet no matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t pinpoint anything. Peter, guarded and prepared for this scenario, would deliberately use Willpower Energy during every robbery to conceal himself. Meanwhile, the Quasi Saints from the Beast Clan, Fighter Clan, and Demon Clan revealed themselves before the Saints.
When the Beast Clan Saints realized that members of three races were involved in the looting, they were stunned, unable to make sense of what had transpired.
For a moment, everyone concluded that the matter had become much more complicated—there was a possibility that the three factions had joined forces.
The thought of a three-faction alliance made the Saints cautious. As a result, a sweeping purge began in Beast Clan territory.
Another baffling issue for the Saints was that the looters vanished without a trace after their spree—they disappeared so completely that even the Saints couldn’t track where they’d gone.
"How peculiar!"
A few Beast Clan Saints gathered together, their faces marked with perplexity. One of them spoke up, "Someone with significant power must have blocked the Heavenly Secret; otherwise, we would be able to discern who was behind this mess."
Another Saint chimed in, "Judging by the evidence, this appears to be the work of the Fighter Clan. However, doesn’t this seem too blatant?"
"Indeed, members from the Fighter Clan and Demon Clan appeared, but similar attacks were reported in Demon Clan territory and Fighter Clan territory. Now it’s happening here. This whole incident has gotten far more complicated. I suspect it could be a faction opposed to the Demon Clan."
"Then it can only be the Human Clan!"
Shaking his head, one Saint remarked, "The Human Clan is relatively weak as a race. Even their Saints, powerful as they may be, can’t block the Heavenly Secret to this extent."
He spoke with an air of arrogance.
Everyone nodded in agreement—the Human Clan was so weak that even the Demon Clan posed a significant threat to them. How could they possibly possess the ability to block the Heavenly Secret on this scale? It surely wasn’t related to them.
"Then which race is truly responsible for this?" For a moment, everyone was deeply troubled.
"No matter who orchestrated this, our conflict with the Fighter Clan is irreconcilable. We can only take action against the Fighter Clan."
This statement received unanimous nods; regardless of which factions stirred the chaos, the blame would ultimately fall on the Fighter Clan.
One Saint hesitated and asked, "What if the perpetrator is a faction opposed to us? If we launch an all-out war against the Fighter Clan, could they take advantage and attack us?"
Hearing this, the Saints’ expressions turned grave. Such a scenario indeed posed significant risks; mishandling the situation could lead to catastrophic consequences.
"As far as the Battle Energy World is concerned, the war between us must proceed—there’s no turning back. For now, we have to reach a consensus with other factions to avoid mutual attacks. After all, they have their own challenges to deal with. Once we free up our forces, we should aim to annihilate the Fighter Clan."
While the Beast Clan Saints deliberated over this matter, the Fighter Clan Saints were also deep in discussion.
The Beast Clan’s sudden turmoil hadn’t escaped the notice of the Fighter Clan.
When the Saints calculated for a while, they discovered the incident was closely tied to their realm. Observing the clear use of Fighter Clan attack techniques, they were baffled as to which Battle Supremes were behind the looting and killing.
"Who are these people, really?" someone questioned.
"Their appearances were completely altered—they must have been disguised. Still, we can infer some clues from their attack styles. But weren’t those Battle Supremes supposed to be dead?"
"Indeed, I’ve seen it myself. Those should be individuals who died. How did they end up in Beast Clan territory?"
The Saints’ faces darkened. One said, "Could it be that certain Saints secretly captured them and controlled them?"
This revelation shifted the atmosphere once more. Such manipulation wasn’t implausible, and if true, it would signify enormous underlying issues.
An additional Saint commented, "Exactly, this seems to be the only explanation. Someone is orchestrating events from behind the scenes, though we can’t determine which faction it is."
"Since members of three factions are involved, could the responsible party be an opposing race with grudges against the Beast Clan?"
Despite brainstorming ideas extensively, no clear answers emerged. A Saint speculated, "Whoever is behind this, wielding the power to control so many Quasi Saints isn’t something a weaker world’s Saint could accomplish. I suspect it’s either an adversarial realm of the Beast Clan or one of our most powerful opposing worlds. It might even involve multiple Saints working together."
"I believe the Beast Clan is preparing for war. That’s what should concern us most."
The possibility of the Beast Clan launching an attack prompted somber expressions from everyone. If the Beast Clan initiated conflict, it would escalate into a massive war.
"We need to prepare now. It won’t be long before battle breaks out."
Everyone acknowledged the Beast Clan’s aggression as a pressing matter.
"What about the Demon Clan’s response?" someone asked.
"Leave them aside for now. Although the Demon Clan is powerful, they can’t possibly control so many Quasi Saints."
This assessment seemed spot-on—the Demon Clan was formidable but incapable of this level of manipulation.
At this point, the Demon Clan was entirely oblivious to the chaos unfolding. Positioned farther away, they were focused on preparing against the Fighter Clan. To them, the Fighter Clan posed the greatest threat, and they hadn’t even considered the havoc caused by the Human Clan’s Quasi-Saint-level individual. Their fear of the Fighter Clan had instead prompted them to halt their offensive against the Human Clan.
