Chapter 2163: Chapter 2161: Comprehending Life
Peter Brown’s goal this time was to gather the people he had sent out from the mountain.
Originally, they were meant to be his preparation team for when he entered the Starlight Domain, but no one could have expected the changes to happen so quickly. In such a short amount of time, Peter had already surpassed the level of the domain and no longer needed to attend Starlight College for study.
After several teleportations through the Elixir Sea, Peter arrived at a major city.
Windstar City!
Gazing at those grand three characters, Peter stepped into the city.
In the center of the city stood a great mansion with towering gates. Following subtle signs, Peter arrived here, sensing that someone he was quite familiar with might be inside.
Casting an Invisibility Talisman, Peter smoothly entered the mansion.
Although a protective formation was in place, Peter effortlessly bypassed it and made his way inside.
In the backyard, Peter was slightly shocked to see Gabriella Graham with a daughter by her side.
At a glance, Gabriella clearly appeared satisfied with her life here, as she was teaching her daughter to study.
Surveying the mansion further, Peter noticed there were numerous servants, hinting at an affluent family.
After waiting for a while, Peter saw the young girl being taken to bed by the servants. Confirming no one else was around, Peter finally revealed himself.
Raising her head and seeing Peter Brown, Gabriella froze in shock.
Peter remained unperturbed and said calmly, "I hope I haven’t disrupted your life?"
"No, no," she stammered.
Gabriella’s expression shifted incessantly.
Peter remarked, "I hadn’t expected you to settle down and have a child here."
Upon hearing this, Gabriella began to cry.
Peter casually set up a barrier formation.
After some time crying, Gabriella said, "The path here was so treacherous. I encountered countless dangers. If it weren’t for the child’s father saving me, I would’ve already died."
Peter nodded silently. He could imagine the situation—another classic "hero saves beauty" storyline.
Peter didn’t mind that Gabriella had found her happiness. He had too many women as it was, and even if Gabriella had once been intimately involved with him, he felt no lingering attachment.
"As long as you’re happy, that’s what matters," Peter said.
Gabriella asked, "Why are you here?"
"Passing through, just wanted to look around."
"You didn’t attend Starlight College?"
Realizing Gabriella was still unaware of his current situation, Peter smiled and replied, "Let’s not dwell on the past. Your cultivation has reached 200 Star Rank—impressive!"
Gabriella smiled faintly and said, "The resources here are far superior to the Purple River Star Region."
"Ever considered going back?"
"There’s no one left for me there, so I haven’t."
"It’s good just to see you alive. Meeting like this must be destiny. Here, cultivate with this technique."
After saying this, Peter handed a Jade Slip to Gabriella and disappeared in a flash.
Sitting cross-legged on a mountain outside the city, Peter meditated deeply on life. This woman had once been his, had been intimately connected with him in the past. She had been vulnerable and open before him, yet now carried herself as a dignified wife and mother. He marveled at how transient everything in the world was—there was nothing truly immutable.
What remained unchanging, however, was his innermost self.
External possessions were things that people could easily abandon upon achieving immortality—the main reason being, none of it truly belonged to them intrinsically. Thus, even their family and children might not matter to Immortals. Was this the manifestation of the belief that all is illusory and ephemeral?
Unknowingly, Peter keenly felt his Star Rank rapidly ascending. This time, he didn’t even rely on cores or other materials—his advancement happened naturally.
Illusion, ephemerality...
Peter had now come to an even deeper understanding.
Everything is fleeting and illusory. People are trapped by ingrained perceptions. Since this is the case, nothing is truly essential—not even elixirs!
Boom!
With this realization, Peter felt his entire being tremble, and tremendous changes began within the center of his Elixir Sea.
A thought stirred within him as he cast his gaze toward the city in front of him.
As Peter took in the view of the distant city in greater detail, suddenly, within his Elixir Sea, a new city materialized on one of the planets therein.
Projection!
Peter had discovered something new—he possessed the ability to project anything he saw into his Elixir Sea, creating perfect copies as part of himself.
This was incredible!
Excited by this revelation, Peter realized he could accomplish countless things with this ability.
Peter hadn’t expected such profound insight after finding this major city.
Fixing his gaze on a nearby tree, Peter watched as the tree itself projected into one of the planets within his Elixir Sea.
Moments later, Peter observed an identical tree growing there.
It truly works!
Peter was brimming with excitement. At any moment, he could integrate life into his Elixir Sea, replicating everything he encountered within it.
Unable to remain seated, Peter headed straight for the city.
As he walked through the city, everything his eyes fell upon—including the people—began replicating themselves within his Elixir Sea planets.
However, Peter noticed a peculiar phenomenon: the consciousness of these projected beings was altered, becoming an intrinsic part of his own existence. Their social connections were wiped clean, and their awareness entirely reshaped.
Observing these people, Peter realized they would eventually forget their origins entirely after countless years of evolution.
The origin of humanity on Earth?
Peter suddenly recalled this notion.
Indeed, the evolution theory taught in Earth’s textbooks must be entirely incorrect. The origin of life was certainly not what they claimed. What Peter saw might very well be the real genesis.
After the Sage Projection, life emerges—and in its early stages, it is wholly unaware it has been projected. Over the rivers of time, everything changes profoundly.
Peter clearly felt that the evolution within his Elixir Sea accelerated as life was infused.
It seemed the evolution of the Elixir Sea required the influx of abundant life.
But what ultimate direction should his Elixir Sea World take in its development?
Peter suddenly realized a troubling issue. Unlike others who had simplistic paths to Becoming a Saint, defined solely by their single clan affiliation—be it Human Clan or Demon Clan—his energy was universal and interconnected.
