Chapter 2151: Chapter 2149: Use of Formation
Peter Brown was not someone to show mercy. Since Nathan Rain was determined to eliminate him, no matter what kind of person he was, Peter’s only task now was to kill him first.
After the Flying Mosquito conducted surveillance for a while, Peter Brown had roughly figured out Nathan Rain’s situation. This old guy was indeed considered a significant figure here, a top expert of the Human Clan, commanding a large group of subordinates. Taking him down wouldn’t be easy.
How could he kill him?
Peter sat cross-legged in an underground space, his mind quickly analyzing all of his available methods.
The part giving Peter the most headache was that he currently lacked a Divine Artifact capable of instantly killing a Quasi-Saint.
He decided to check out the market first!
After thinking for a while without coming up with a good solution, Peter realized this place was a major base for the Human Clan. Finding a Trading Market here was almost certain, and there should be no shortage of good items. He thought about visiting to see if he could purchase one or two artifacts that could effectively target a Quasi-Saint.
Disguised as a Void Saint from the Human Clan, Peter moved through the city.
The sight that greeted him appeared to be one of a barracks, but naturally, there were plenty of businessmen to be seen. Along the way, he noticed merchants from various regions coming and going.
The city was truly prosperous!
After asking a few people, Peter arrived at the Trading Market.
The marketplace was vast, and sure enough, all kinds of things were being traded here.
Upon entering the market, Peter began browsing one item after another. With no lack of money, having killed several Void Saints and acquired considerable Human Race Universe Coins from them—an advanced currency with immense value—he could afford to splurge.
Peter stepped into a large shop that resembled a general store. What caught his eye immediately were various Cultivation Techniques and basic books on artifact refining, alchemy, and similar fields. Anything he hadn’t seen before, Peter purchased and stored, planning to study it slowly when he had time.
At Peter’s current level, this knowledge could only serve to expand his horizons.
After buying numerous books and acquiring Divine Grass that wasn’t already in his Elixir Sea, Peter arrived at a stall selling artifact products.
Suddenly, Peter’s attention was caught by a particular Divine Artifact.
The stall belonged to a master-level Void Saint, and displayed on it was an artifact resembling a formation.
"What’s this?" Peter asked, pointing at the object.
After glancing at it, the Void Saint replied, "A little invention of mine. I call it a Power Amplifier Device. It can multiply the power of Divine Artifacts."
After asking several follow-up questions, Peter’s eyes sparkled with excitement as he realized this device had given him a new idea.
"Do you have the refining method for this? I’ll buy it."
"It’s nothing special, just an application of superimposed formations. If you buy this item, I’ll throw in the method for free."
Peter chuckled and immediately bought the Power Amplifier Device. The Void Saint handed Peter a Jade Slip containing the refining method for the device.
Afterwards, Peter spent nearly all of his money, purchasing every material he could get his hands on.
With his Ring unable to hold any more items, Peter directly stored everything into his Elixir Sea.
The Elixir Sea was vast enough to accommodate an almost infinite amount of material without issue.
After asking someone about the location of the Human Clan’s Artifact Refining Field, Peter arrived there and rented an underground Artifact Refining Space, where he began his research.
The Power Amplifier Device offered Peter an essential hint: it demonstrated a way to further enhance the power of artifacts such as Extreme Fire Divine Thunder through formations.
On this topic, Peter actually had numerous insights from before. Now, his task was to refine and amplify these methods.
Artifacts like the Heaven-Exploding Thunder already contained certain aspects of these refining techniques. What Peter needed to do was apply them to a higher-level artifact like the Extreme Fire Divine Thunder.
Though the refining method for the Power Amplifier Device was quite ordinary, it inspired Peter. After thinking for a while, Peter pondered what might happen if he refined a composite formation that could immediately trap a target, bind it, and detonate multiple Extreme Fire Divine Thunder simultaneously.
The thought made Peter genuinely excited.
Each superimposed strengthening formation could amplify the power of an individual Extreme Fire Divine Thunder. Arranged in the shape of a Hexagram array, the dynamic formations would combine rapidly in motion. Then, using the Power Amplifier Device to multiply the power of six Extreme Fire Divine Thunder together, the ensuing explosion would create not just a simple power addition, but rather a force capable of shaking even Saint-level entities.
The critical technical challenge lay in ensuring that the Power Amplifier Device wouldn’t be destroyed in the instantaneous explosion!
After thoroughly researching the entire concept, Peter dug out Demon Clan alchemical techniques and began examining them as well.
The Demon Clan’s space and time formations indeed had their merits!
When Peter investigated these space-time formations, his eyes lit up once again. He realized that his Will Palace contained four Quasi-Saint-level Guardians. Why not continuously channel their energy into the space formation? If the Extreme Fire Divine Thunder exploded while simultaneously releasing the compressed energy stored within the formation, would any Quasi-Saint be able to survive?
The thought alone was enough to excite him.
The more Peter thought about it, the more feasible it seemed.
In the days that followed, Peter devoted himself entirely to refining.
Initially, he alternated between contemplating and refining. Gradually, his insights became sharper, and his refining speed increased significantly.
It was done!
As a composite Divine Artifact resembling a Hexagram array emerged, Peter observed it with a hint of doubt. He wasn’t sure what would truly happen when it was used.
The next step was to mass-produce Extreme Fire Divine Thunder and have the Quasi-Saints continuously channel energy into the space formation.
The thought of several Quasi-Saints essentially working as his laborers amused Peter.
A few days later, Peter’s Will Palace had been stocked with a heap of Extreme Fire Divine Thunder. The four Quasi-Saints tirelessly continued infusing energy into the artifacts.
Peter then started a new venture: collecting faith energy. After running across various places, he returned with a greater quantity of faith energy stored in the Will Palace within his Elixir Sea. This energy was gradually transforming.
Observing the Extreme Fire Divine Thunder, now mostly infused with energy, Peter ordered the four Quasi-Saints to direct their energy into the space formation.
This time, Peter planned to eliminate Nathan Rain in one decisive strike.
