Chapter 2127: Chapter 2125: Collecting on a Large Scale
After the teacher left, the atmosphere in the class got even better, and those who had been dealt with by Peter Brown all turned their gazes toward him.
"What do you all think, after we get to the Western battlefield, how many of us will make it back alive?" a fat student asked arrogantly.
Everyone went along with the joke, saying, "The teacher said there are lots of opportunities there, maybe someone will come back as a Saint!"
Laughter immediately erupted among them.
Peter Brown looked over them and said with a smile, "What do you think, if I kill a few people before we leave, will the school expel me?"
As soon as these words came out, everyone suddenly fell silent. Those who had just been laughing now had their faces change colors; their mouths were open, but they didn’t dare to laugh anymore.
When Peter Brown stood up and walked towards the door, people in front of him even quickly stepped aside.
Everyone started guessing Peter’s intentions; maybe he was thinking of killing a few people on purpose so he wouldn’t have to go to the frontline.
Unexpectedly, one of the male classmates who had been selected to go suddenly pulled out a knife and stabbed the person in front of him.
After stabbing that person, he turned his knife against another.
Ah!
This action triggered a chain reaction, with three others realizing a way to avoid the frontline. They too started launching magic against some classmates they had always disliked.
All at once, the whole classroom descended into chaos.
With the four beating down, several people had already fallen.
The women in class immediately began to scream continuously, completely stunned, having no idea what was happening.
Some of the classmates rushed out.
Soon, the homeroom teacher also arrived, and when he saw the situation in class, his expression changed dramatically, never having expected such an event.
Quickly, the school authorities also arrived.
Seeing the state of the class, their faces twitched with shock. The few who were beaten up were indeed in a sorry state. Even though their lives weren’t taken, it was clear that the injuries were serious.
"Who did this?" a leadership-looking old man’s beard bristled with anger.
"He farted at me and sprayed it all over my face, so I killed him."
The one who had first used the knife stood up and came forward.
Peter Brown looked at him and inwardly admired his resentful expression, thinking to himself that this kid really was awesome!
"They were fighting, and that little guy hit me with magic, so I fought back."
"It was the same for me, I just couldn’t hold back."
"Anyway, I’ve already hit the person, please punish me as you see fit, school."
One after another, the four recommended students stepped forward to admit their mistakes.
"Come with me."
The old man yelled at several of the most vicious fighters.
Peter Brown, however, wasn’t involved in any of the altercations. Seeing he wasn’t called, he simply walked outside.
Everyone knew people would die this time, that it was a dangerous place, so they’d rather kill someone than go there. But what about himself? Should he follow their lead?
Peter Brown was actually very keen on witnessing the skills of the experts, especially interested in the places that were missing Saints.
Seeing that no one was looking for him, Peter left the classroom and headed to the Book Storage Room.
Now able to read intermediate and advanced books, Peter knew his goal was finally within reach. As long as he finished reading these books, he would have completely mastered the knowledge of magic.
Time waits for no one, and of course, Peter would not miss such an opportunity.
When he arrived at the location, Peter saw it was the same place as before, but accessing the advanced area from the lower levels required using a Space Formation.
Peter had no idea where this Space Formation would transmit him to, but after he handed over his student card for registration, the teacher guarding the entrance asked Peter to stand on a Hexagram array.
With the flickering of the Star Formation, Peter found himself in a place that seemed to be a special space domain.
His gaze sweeping across the room, Peter saw that there were half as many books here as in the lower-level area, but still, there were many.
Looking inside, there were even more people reading books.
No matter, his intention was to collect the books into the Elixir Sea within him.
As Peter walked over, he came to the front row first. This time, he was even more adept. Pretending to read a book, he extended his hand and swept it across the row of books.
As Peter’s hand passed over them, the books naturally entered his Elixir Sea.
There was no time to comprehend each book individually. Peter’s movements were quick, and after scanning a row, as long as the other people didn’t notice him, he naturally moved to the next row.
Peter was discreet in his actions. In an hour, all the books on intermediate magic were collected into his Elixir Sea.
"Please send me to the advanced magic books area."
Seeing there were no more books to collect here, Peter approached a responsible old man.
"Ten thousand Devil Crystals for one trip."
The old man said indifferently.
"Why does it cost so many Devil Crystals?" Peter was also taken aback.
At this moment, a middle-aged woman approached and said to Peter, "Do you think just anyone can mess around in the area of advanced magic knowledge? Even students aren’t allowed to enter freely. I’ve been watching you. Here in the intermediate magic books area, you’re just running around. With your tiny bit of magic cultivation, what are you going to do in the advanced area, cause trouble?"
The old man was quite polite and smiled, "The reason it costs that much money is to serve as a barrier, to keep those who just want to look around out. Young man, if you want to go, pay up."
Without wanting to say much, Peter transferred ten thousand Devil Crystals to the old man.
The middle-aged woman looked at Peter and snorted, "These young masters really don’t see money as money."
Since Peter had paid, she had no more to say.
The old man smiled faintly and said, "I’ll take you there."
After another Hexagram array, Peter found himself in a place with few people. Glancing around, he saw only a few old men reading books, who just gave Peter a cursory look and ignored him thereafter.
There were even fewer books, less than half of the intermediate area.
After Peter had collected all the books here, he realized there were still a few in the hands of the old men. Looking at the books, Peter knew they might be important, so he had no choice but to wait for these old men to finish reading and return them.
Time passed by bit by bit, several old men left, and Peter collected their books as well. There were also a few who switched books, which Peter collected as well.
Only one old man remained, holding a very ancient book, constantly reading, showing no sign of movement.
