Chapter 2057: Chapter 2055: Making Money
Peter Brown glanced at the waiter, then at the Jade Slip, feeling as if he were dreaming. After such a long search, he never expected it to unexpectedly appear like this.
Seeing Peter’s expression, the waiter asked in confusion, "Do you have any other questions, guest?"
"No, there’s nothing else,"
Peter truly didn’t know what else to say.
"Alright, this pot of tea will be one Cosmic Coin."
Only then did Peter remember that this was his last Cosmic Coin.
He asked, "Is there a Trading Market around here?"
"Yes, there’s a very large Trading Market. Right now, it has everything. Just go out, turn left and walk around one hundred meters to reach it."
When Peter didn’t say anything more, the waiter went off to attend to other customers.
After pouring a cup of tea, and taking a sip, Peter took the Jade Slip with the map and started looking at it.
Indeed, it was a map of a route leading to the Rear, and even had coordinates for some places.
Unfortunately, he must have a teleportation formation set up before he could Teleport to the Elixir Sea!
Peter carefully examined it for a while and then realized that his path had deviated quite far. If he continued this way, he might end up entering another battlefield.
Fortunately, now that he had this map, he could quickly change his route.
He carefully stored the Jade Slip into the Elixir Sea. Peter knew that this item was really too important for him. With it, he could return home.
After Collecting it, Peter then picked up another Jade Slip.
This was a communication Jade Slip.
Peter read for a while; it really contained battle conditions from various places, even the recent victory they had just won was recorded in it.
How strange, could it be that The Higher-Ups have a way of communication?
At this point, Peter became somewhat puzzled.
However, Peter knew that his current level was truly too low. It was impossible for him to access some of the deeper aspects.
First, he should go get some materials and money!
After skimming through the numerous pieces of information and finding nothing useful for himself, Peter decided to head to the market to get some money.
Soon, Peter had arrived at the market.
After getting there, Peter saw people in various costumes, and even to his surprise, he saw someone with an ox-head walking out in the market.
Peter’s gaze lingered on this Minotaur Clan member, completely at a loss about the situation.
After walking a bit further, he encountered sheep-headed and Canine-Headed People as well.
Could it be people from another realm have come over?
Peter grew more curious.
However, for Peter, getting money was the priority right now. Other matters could be set aside.
Quickly, Peter came to the largest auction firm there.
After understanding the market situation for a while, Peter could only smile bitterly. Indeed, only the faith energy in his items was valuable; none of the others were worth anything.
Fortunately, inside Peter’s Ring, there were still plenty of assorted faith energies which weren’t of much use to him.
"What’s the price for faith energy?"
Peter Brown asked the shopkeeper inside the auction firm.
She was a middle-aged woman who smiled and said, "As you know, customer, the war is becoming increasingly fierce, and the demand for faith energy is tremendous. Many people use it as a lifesaver, and the Saints have set up a blockade, preventing faith energy from reaching here. Hence, naturally, the price of faith energy is high."
"Then, how much for a strand?"
"Our market prices are fair, four Cosmic Coins per strand, usually sold in batches of ten thousand strands. For ten thousand strands, that would be forty thousand Cosmic Coins."
"And how do you purchase it?"
"You have some?"
The shopkeeper’s eyes lit up instantly.
"I happen to have some here."
"Rest assured, we will not let you suffer any loss, three coins per strand. You are free to look around; our price is indeed fair."
Inside, Peter thought that he was even willing to sell for one Cosmic Coin per strand, and now it was three, which meant a huge profit indeed.
"Okay, what I need is a large amount of materials. Let’s see if you have these materials here."
Peter Brown handed over the list of materials needed for crafting the teleportation formation and other items.
After looking for a while, the shopkeeper smiled and said, "There may not be many other resources in the Beast Realm, but they have an abundance of materials, all of which are sent to us for sale. We have plenty here, and if you need it, we can even borrow from others."
"Great, I have faith energy worth one hundred thousand strands here. Besides keeping ten thousand Cosmic Coins for me, exchange as many materials as possible with the rest."
The shopkeeper was also shrewd and without asking Peter why he needed so many materials, she immediately said, "I will let someone calculate it right away and then bring you the materials you deserve."
Peter sat there sipping his tea, also observing all the items here.
After a while, Peter suddenly saw a flying vehicle crafted by someone of Several Thousand Star Ranks. Most importantly, Peter noticed that this Divine Artifact had two secret properties; one was that it could become invisible, so much so that even a Quasi Saint might not detect it if they weren’t careful, and the other property was its swift Flight speed, allowing instant travel across ten million li.
Seeing these two properties, Peter was already tempted. This object was just right for him. Although he now knew of some of the Divine Realm’s artifact refining techniques, he was not able to craft such a Divine Artifact himself.
"How much for this Teleportation Artifact?"
Peter asked one of the waitresses.
"This Divine Artifact has been refined by an 8000-Star expert, so naturally, it is very valuable. The selling price is a million dollars in Cosmic Coins."
"What?"
Peter was taken aback.
At that moment, the shopkeeper came over and said meaningfully to Peter, "If you’re interested, we can give you a discount. It would only cost you ninety-nine thousand Cosmic Coins."
He knew Peter must still have some faith energy.
After thinking for a while, Peter took out several jars and said, "Each jar contains one hundred thousand strands, and here are three jars."
"Hehe, the Teleportation Artifact is yours," said the shopkeeper as she passed the Divine Artifact to Peter.
Having received the artifact, Peter silently sighed. If he weren’t in a hurry, he would never have made such a purchase.
Well, now that he needed it, what choice did he have?
Soon enough, the Ring was filled again; enough for him to refine for a good while.
After thinking for a bit, and feeling like there was nothing else worth buying, he decided to continue his journey.
From the Jade Slip, he could tell that the road ahead was still long.
