Chapter 2039: Chapter 2037: A Teleportation Formation
Purple River?
Peter Brown was rather curious. Many places in the Purple River Star Region contained the word "purple" in their names; he wondered what the significance behind this was, as it felt like there must be something special about it.
Soon, Peter had already arrived at the banks of the Purple River.
As he looked over, the Purple River was surging with torrential waves and hidden currents, indeed a dangerous place. No wonder many people chose not to venture into it.
Now that he knew those three had obtained their inheritance from the Purple River, Peter wanted to see what exactly the situation was.
For others, entering the Purple River might be fraught with too much peril, but for Peter, it wasn’t that much of a problem.
He summoned his flying ship and entered it.
This was no ordinary flying ship; not only could it fly, but it could also navigate through water without any issues. Once the protective shield was raised, Peter had already entered the Purple River.
At first, he just looked around the edges, but Peter didn’t notice anything in particular.
However, as the ship moved toward the central area, Peter clearly felt a strong pressure descending upon him.
Such pressure was to the extent that even those at the Hundred-Star Level would struggle to bear it!
At this point, Peter was somewhat puzzled. If there was such strong pressure, it did not make sense for those three people to have been able to survive in the center of the river. How had they entered?
With this question in mind, Peter took another look around the area. Indeed, in the central region apart from some fish that exceeded the power of the Hundred-Star Level, there were also some fierce beasts residing in the river. Clearly, being in such a place, even someone at the 200 Star-rank might not survive.
It was certain that those three people could not have entered through here!
After seeing the situation in the Purple River, Peter had his own speculations.
After carefully scanning the Purple River for a while longer, Peter found no traces of any ruins or similar sites.
He had taken the wrong route!
Peter thought that choosing the Purple River as his destination might have been a mistake. Given the state of those three people, it would have been utterly impossible for them to enter here and survive. One could imagine that their cultivation at the time they entered was not high, perhaps only at the One or Two Star Level. With such cultivation, how could they possibly have entered the central area?
With this thought, Peter steered his flying ship to search around the edges.
According to Peter’s thinking, those three people probably would have been in an area that those within the Five Star Realm could endure.
Keep in mind that when Peter first arrived, the reversal of holy energy hadn’t taken place, and those at the Seven-Star Level were already considered strong, so they definitely would not have exceeded Five Star Rank.
The Purple River was large, but Peter’s flying ship was not slow. After several trips, Peter had more or less figured out the layout of the riverbed.
While on the move, Peter suddenly stopped the ship.
As he cast his gaze toward a spot that appeared to be an underwater cliff, the more Peter looked, the more he felt there was something different about this place.
Upon closer inspection, Peter discovered an entrance to a cavern. It wasn’t large, only wide enough for two people to enter; Peter had nearly overlooked such a spot before.
After observing the situation here, Peter shrunk his flying ship a little and maneuvered into the area.
Initially, as he moved forward, it was all water inside, but after a while, Peter felt as if the ship had suddenly lost resistance and burst forth.
When the ship emerged, Peter was surprised to find a vast Space Domain, with water seemingly unable to penetrate from the outside.
Looking into this space, what Peter saw at the very center was an ancient teleportation formation.
As he observed the teleportation formation, Peter became puzzled again. By his assessment, this formation was broken, its energy depleted, and it could not be activated.
After a thorough inspection, Peter confirmed it was an ultra-powerful teleporting formation powered by Divine Vein Earth Qi. Thinking about the kind of energy supply needed, Peter was astounded by the sheer distance it must have teleported.
Those three who received the inheritance definitely couldn’t have used this teleportation formation!
Without much thought, Peter was sure those three didn’t have the capability to use this formation, let alone obtain more inheritance.
With these thoughts, Peter continued his search.
Indeed, when Peter reached a certain area nearby, he found a place that seemed to be the residence of a guardian.
At a glance, there was another small space here, within which was a cavern-like location.
As Peter entered, what he saw confirmed it was indeed a dwelling place, with many items inside.
This was where the people from the Ancient Yellow Heaven Kingdom used to live!
Upon seeing the setup here, Peter realized that perhaps this teleportation formation was simply overseen by some major force instructed by the Ancient Yellow Heaven Kingdom. There must have been an expert from the Ancient Yellow Heaven Kingdom here, and those three must have obtained some kind of inheritance from this expert and learned about the Ancient Yellow Heaven Kingdom, misusing its name to cause trouble after they left.
After a careful search, indeed, Peter found some places where Elixirs and the like had been taken.
So that’s how it was!
Having understood the situation, Peter shook his head. He was somewhat astonished at the circumstances of the ancient era; it appeared that some powerful beings truly existed on this land during that time.
After understanding the situation, Peter wasn’t concerned with it any further. After all, those three had already been killed by him, and the Divine Nation they had stirred up naturally came to an end.
To Peter, the Divine Nation of those three did not seem to be of great concern.
It was evident that, though the three had obtained some benefits, the benefits were clearly not that substantial.
The key was still to see if the teleportation formation could be put to use.
However, Peter didn’t have the time to dwell on this now. With the three people eradicated, Peter had some matters to take care of, such as making arrangements for the Army to take over Wavehider City.
Thus, with a teleport, Peter returned to the Imperial Palace.
After gathering everyone, Peter spoke of the situation with the three, simply mentioning that they had been eliminated and ordering Austin Hall to lead the Army to reclaim the land.
Everyone was shocked at Peter’s awesome prowess, but no one had anything to say; Austin Hall promptly led the Army in haste.
Once that was settled, after attending to some imperial court matters, Peter once again set off toward the Purple River. He had a feeling that perhaps this time he could actually repair the teleportation formation, though he had no idea where it might send him.
