Chapter 2027 - 2025: Peter Brown’s Decision

Chapter 2027: Chapter 2025: Peter Brown’s Decision

After spending a delightful time with his women, Peter Brown approached the imperial court with a clear mind and refreshed spirit.

The ministers of the full court had not anticipated Peter Brown’s return, and upon learning he was holding court, each hurried over.

Seated upon the throne, Peter gazed down at the puzzled faces below and spoke: "Your Majesty has employed special methods to return midway through the journey, intending to address imperial court matters before setting forth once again."

Awesome indeed!

The ministers could only reflect on Peter Brown’s capability with such a thought—who else could return midway and then proceed along the original path?

Peter Brown was aware of the thoughts of everyone and said: "Some may wonder why not construct a path to the academy to allow our people from Hua Kingdom to reach the Starlight Domain swiftly and safely."

"Yes, Your Majesty, if such were truly possible, it would greatly support our Hua Kingdom’s development," replied Joseph Xander, standing out and speaking up.

With a slight smile, Peter Brown said: "Your Majesty has been considering this matter. This time, I shall establish a teleportation path that only our Hua Kingdom can utilize, hence we need not traverse numerous nations to get there."

His words immediately sparked excitement among the assembled, with everyone recognizing the significance of this for Hua Kingdom.

Looking over the crowd, Peter Brown continued: "My beloved subjects, do not regard this matter too favorably. Be it the Starlight Domain or the divine nations along the way, which among them does not wield great power? If this path were to be revealed, can you imagine the influx of powers into our Hua Kingdom, and the situation that would ensue?"

With these words, the expressions of the assembly changed, realizing the severity of the matter—if so, it could be an unfavorable situation for the entire Hua Kingdom.

"Your Majesty, this issue indeed requires careful consideration," Hector Collins’s face darkened, pondering the influx of experts into Hua Kingdom without any resistance; he did not wish for the construction of this path.

The assembly began discussing amongst themselves.

After the discussion, Peter Brown continued: "Certainly, the path will be constructed. However, it will remain a secret, with all travels to be arranged by Your Majesty. Not everyone will have access, only those expressly permitted by Your Majesty. And of course, it is premature to discuss this now. To establish this path, we will need to refine a teleportation formation, and the materials required are quite substantial. What we should do now is gather various materials as much as possible."

"Your Majesty, there’s absolutely no problem with that, we shall all exert our utmost efforts," they assured.

"Your Majesty, on your journey thus far, have you inquired about the status of our Hua Nation’s candidates?" Dennis Brown asked.

Seeing everyone’s eagerness to know, Peter Brown sighed and inquired, "Do you realize how many divine nations one must traverse to reach the Starlight Domain from here?"

In truth, not everyone was aware of this and turned their attention to Peter Brown.

Peter Brown then briefed everyone on what he had learned, particularly about the candidates from Hua Kingdom.

When they heard this, it was quite a shock.

The Great Hall then fell silent.

"Your Majesty, they perished just partway through their journey?" Austin Hall looked utterly bewildered.

Peter Brown sighed again, "The journey is fraught with numerous experts. Without special methods, I couldn’t have reached those places. If our people from Hua Kingdom don’t renounce their candidate status, I fear very few will survive."

Initially, some ministers had been discontent about not obtaining the qualification certificates, but now, having listened to Peter Brown’s briefing, they realized how fortunate they indeed were.

"We never realized the vast disparity between us and those divine nations!" they admitted.

Many ministers had been complacent about Hua Kingdom’s development, but now, realizing the truth, their faces turned pale with the naïveté of their former thoughts.

"There’s no need to worry excessively," assured Peter Brown. "I have special methods. This time, I’ve brought back quite a number of divine artifacts. With these divine artifacts, we can even go to war against those of the Hundred-Star Level."

Amidst talking, Peter Brown took out the numerous divine artifacts he had refined and began assigning them to specifically chosen experts.

"Our Divine Nation may seem vast, but it is much weaker compared to the larger divine nations. It is my hope that everyone improves their power as swiftly as possible. Expansion is a must—we need vast cultivation resources to fortify our Divine Nation. Of course, while expanding, I wish to govern benevolently."

"Benevolent governance?"

Everyone was puzzled by what Peter Brown intended.

Seeing their confusion, Peter Brown explained: "Firstly, a general amnesty must be declared; second, the Royal Family’s martial art techniques will all be inscribed on steles for everyone to study; third, research and implement policies that benefit and ease the lives of the people, ensuring all divine beings in the nation live carefree lives."

"Your Majesty, the country is severely short on money!"

One minister stood out and stated.

"I have a hundred million top-grade God Stones here, to be injected into the treasury."

A hundred million top-grade God Stones!

Hearing of such a staggering sum left everyone dazed—equivalent to Hua Kingdom’s annual fiscal revenue.

"Money is not an issue. What we need now is to ensure a good life for all citizens. You must thoroughly study this, and for the corrupt—no mercy will be shown to anyone caught."

Though puzzled by Peter Brown’s actions, the assembly did not reject his approach; thus, the matter was effectively decided.

Noticing the reverent demeanor of everyone, Peter Brown nodded in satisfaction, aware that he too needed substantial amounts of faith energy. If the entire Divine Nation could harbor faith in him, significant development for his Elixir Sea World would be underway.

Peter Brown’s intent was clear: to use the wealth obtained from other places for the development of Hua Kingdom and, in turn, gather more faith energy.

"Furthermore, within Hua Kingdom, there shall only be one faith—that toward the monarch. Henceforth, all other religious worships will be utterly abolished!"

While Peter Brown could siphon off the faith energy from temples, he thought it prudent to prevent the dispersion of people’s faith in him, thus deciding to outright ban them.
