Chapter 1998: Chapter 1996: Ascension to the Throne

Processions of the Army marched through the square, surrounded by numerous masters for protection, as Peter Brown stood atop the highest Stage.

The ascension ceremony of the Divine Nation was unlike any ordinary one; it was a special ritual that required empathy with the Heavenly Dao, without which the Divine Nation could not gain the recognition and blessings of the Heavenly Dao.

Peter was unclear about the actual logic behind it; all he knew was that, according to various situations, it was indeed necessary to perform a ritual to pay homage to the heavens.

After the dedicated sacrificial priests danced and sang for a while, Peter saw changes in the Azure Sky above King’s City. Bright and incomprehensible rays of light shone and even Peter felt a special Power scanning his body. This scanning then seemed to encompass all the participants. As he looked around, Peter noticed that everyone appeared unsurprised by these phenomena, remaining extraordinarily calm.

Peter no longer concerned himself with the details. As required, he dripped his own blood into the large snow-white jade immortal basin.

What perplexed Peter was that as soon as his blood entered the basin, the entire basin underwent a transformation, and a thick liquid appeared within it.

The sacrificial priest seemed extremely excited, and Peter couldn’t comprehend the chant he uttered, but the liquid turned into gas and dispersed into the Azure Sky. Then, Peter found that it began to rain.

Could this be the transformative power of the Heavenly Dao?

Although Peter was somewhat familiar with these events, he was momentarily taken aback when he saw this happen. It was as if he suddenly thought of his own Elixir Sea Center - whether he, too, could perform such a feat, and by doing so, establish a connection with the people of Star Planet akin to that of providing sustenance and nurturing.

Peter had no time to ponder further. Witnessing these changes, he felt a unique connection with Heaven and Earth.

At that moment, Peter distinctly felt threads of energy seeping into his Elixir Sea.

The energy of faith?

This was a sensation all too familiar to Peter; he immediately recognized it as the energy of faith.

But how was he receiving it now?

Following the energy, Peter saw that it was emanating from certain individuals present, likely because they held a belief in him; thus, they provided him with their energy.

The matter of ascension was truly an interesting affair!

Witnessing such transformation made Peter quite curious; he realized he still knew too little.

At this moment, all eyes were upon Peter.

Peter walked towards the lofty throne.

As Peter moved, everyone’s emotions surged with excitement.

Those who followed Peter were even more thrilled.

Nobody expected that Peter would ever reach this point: in just a short period of time, he had become the Emperor of the Divine Nation. This achievement was truly remarkable.

A great deal of faith energy flowed towards Peter, causing energy to converge from all around him.

Peter also noticed that with each step he took, the faith energy increased continuously.

Now, energy swirled tumultuously around Peter’s body.

As Peter sat on the throne, it seemed as though a immense bell tolled between Heaven and Earth.

With every toll, the sound echoed to the far reaches of the country.

At this moment, Peter discovered that those who had channeled faith energy towards him had their cultivation upgraded by one Star Rank.

Upgrades in Star Rank occurred everywhere.

As Peter examined his own condition, he noticed new changes occurring within his Elixir Sea; the faith energy was gathering to form a Star Planet.

A peculiar transformation! Although his own Star Rank had not increased, the faith energy continued to accumulate more and more.

Such an odd little Star Planet!

While it was small, Peter believed that with the gathering of faith energy, it would eventually form into an immensely large Star Planet.

"My subjects shall witness this grand ceremony here!" Peter spoke, adhering to the sacrificial priest’s instruction.

With Peter’s command, he felt as though all the citizens of Hua Kingdom could witness the grandeur of the event.

Such a strange circumstance; the Divine Realm really differed from the Mortal Realm!

Seeing this, something stirred in Peter’s heart - he also wanted to see if he could garner vast amounts of faith energy through certain actions.

With that thought, Peter deviated from the original program and loudly declared: "Today, as the Hua Kingdom is established here, I will reward those who have contributed to the founding of our Divine Nation. Taking this opportunity, I will reward you."

Everyone was unsure why Peter suddenly embarked on such a display. At this moment in time, the people within the Divine Nation could indeed see the events unfolding with Peter; all watched curiously to see what he would do next.

Initially, there was a pre-determined list of awardees, which was supposed to be honored at a ceremony in the Imperial Palace after the grand ceremony, yet Peter chose to do so now.

With a wave of Peter’s hand, numerous jade boxes appeared.

These jade boxes instantly filled the divine jade platform where Peter was.

Under a special energy blessing, the jade boxes opened at once.

Upon seeing the Holy Grass and Holy fruit inside the boxes, all were astound.

Although everyone was aware of these items, the visual impact of seeing so many of them piled up was immensely powerful.

The Emperor is giving rewards here?

At this time, everyone grew even more curious.

"Yes," Peter said, looking towards the crowd. "Today, I shall conduct a reward ceremony. As long as you are loyal to me, you will receive my rewards. Today, I’m not awarding anything else but Holy Grass and Holy fruit. I want those truly loyal to me to receive a significant upgrade. First, we will award the Military elites who have battled on all fronts; you will receive Holy Grass, and your cultivation can be upgraded to at least the Hundred-Star Rank. Sam Collins and Jett Johnson are reading the names of the Civil and Martial personnel, and I will begin bestowing the awards."

Then, it was the turn of even more important Personnel, who received Holy fruit, enabling an upgrade to the One Hundred and Eight Star Rank.

At this time, Peter indeed saw a substantial amount of faith energy coursing towards him.

Some who had not possessed any faith energy before were now channeling it in his direction.
