Chapter 1949: Chapter 1947: Mutant Fierce Beasts
"Let’s go."
After seeing the three women go to bathe again, Peter Brown mentioned.
Everyone left from there, heading towards the Third Level.
Now, Peter Brown’s desire for the Holy Grass had somewhat faded. If Moira Johnson’s guess was right, it meant that holy energy was actually not a big deal, just like the emergence of a source of spiritual energy on Earth. It was merely a moderate boost to cultivation, and the benefits of this boost were not that significant.
"Gabriella, there’s something odd I’ve just realized. Why haven’t we faced a tribulation after our upgrade?" Peter suddenly noticed something astonishing. Neither he nor the two beauties, despite their significant cultivation gains, had experienced a tribulation, which was unexpected but now seemed very strange to him.
"Yeah, it is strange. There used to be thunder tribulations before. How come we’ve upgraded so much in cultivation and yet no thunder tribulation occurred?" Gabriella Graham also felt very curious at this moment.
Moira Johnson explained, "This is the same for everyone in our Sect; if we enhance our cultivation with holy energy, there won’t be any tribulation."
Weird!
Peter was quite baffled.
"From our analysis, it seems tribulations are likely for those who achieve their upgrade through harsh training. Anyway, those who used such means to upgrade haven’t experienced a tribulation."
Now, everyone was baffled by this.
Of course, not facing a tribulation was not a bad thing for Peter, and he didn’t dwell on it much.
Soon, their conversation turned to the topic of cultivation. While en route, thanks to the Floating Device refined by Peter, all four were protected from the Earthfire’s attack.
Suddenly, Alice Thompson’s gaze focused ahead.
Gabriella Graham said loudly, "There’s a strong presence!"
The two women had barely spoken when Moira Johnson also noticed the situation.
It was lastly Peter who realized something was amiss.
Seeing the three women on guard, Peter sent out the Strong Talismans he had refined towards them.
As the three Talismans came into play, each of the women was enveloped in a protective layer.
"Is this a Talisman?"
Moira looked curiously at her own body, aware that Peter had Talismans but having never seen one before.
"It’s a Mutant Wolf!" Alice’s words rang out as a massive White Wolf, as tall as a building, appeared before them.
That’s huge!
Peter also expressed his surprise upon seeing this; he had never encountered a White Wolf of such size before.
"It’s mutated!"
Moira glanced at it and made a remark.
Gabriella suggested, "It might have mutated after consuming Holy Grass or a holy fruit. Everyone be cautious."
"Master, step back. Let us handle this," said Alice to Peter.
Peter was aware his cultivation level was still lacking and modestly stepped back without argument.
"Gabriella, just stay with the master," said Alice as she too charged to the forefront.
Both women, being Eight-Star experts, showed no fear in the face of the Mutant Wolf Species.
"Be careful."
That was all Peter said; he was also curious to see the extent of the mutant wolf’s cultivation level.
Quickly, the two women and the wolf clashed.
The Mutant Wolf’s eyes suddenly emitted a fiery glow, and Wind Blades sprayed out from its mouth.
Moira expressed shock, "How can it spew out energy blades?"
At that moment, Peter was wide-eyed with astonishment upon witnessing something resembling magic in the Divine Realm!
In fact, Peter had visited many places and had barely encountered a Magic World. But to his surprise, something akin to magic seemed to exist here.
Was holy energy some form of magical energy?
Peter suddenly had additional speculation about the world of the Divine Realm.
If magic existed here, then the so-called Divine Race of Earth might genuinely be divine.
It was different!
Peter genuinely had no idea what other sorts of things might yet appear in the distant corners of this realm.
While Peter’s thoughts wandered, the battle was nearing an end. Despite the Mutant Wolf’s fearsome power, facing two such Strong Persons like the women was to no avail. Even their occasional Wind Blades could not harm the women, especially after being fortified by Peter’s Strong Talismans. Instead, the women’s great swords relentlessly struck the Mutant Wolf.
Under the unceasing barrage, the Mutant Wolf’s demeanor suddenly turned frantic.
Was it intelligent?
Observing the wolf’s behavior, Peter shouted, "Stop your attack if you understand me, or else you die!"
Upon Peter’s roar, the frantic Mutant Wolf did indeed cease its attack and collapsed before them.
Just as Gabriella was about to land a decisive blow, she noticed the change and forcibly held her strike.
"Did you mutate after consuming Holy Grass?" Peter questioned.
To the shock of the three women, the Mutant Wolf spoke, albeit awkwardly, "I swallowed a red fruit, not sure if it’s a holy fruit."
"It can talk!"
The three women were thoroughly astounded to find out the fierce beast could speak.
"Become our beast companion, or else, die!"
"I am willing to be a beast companion. Please don’t kill me."
Peter took a look at the fearsome creature and stepped forward.
"Master, be careful," Gabriella cautioned.
"Master, it has the cultivation of a Hundred-Star, be cautious," Alice also stepped forward, positioning herself in front of Peter.
"No worries, I have a Strong Talisman."
Peter knew a bit about the mentality of fierce beasts. A normal fierce beast would submit to a Strong Person.
What method should he use for taming it?
Peter then thought of the various beast-taming methods from the Lower Realm.
Perhaps it was just a matter of channeling a different type of energy for taming, right?
Peter approached the fierce beast with a nonchalant demeanor, shifted his energy slightly, and performed a Lower Realm Master Servant Control Technique Hand Seal, curious to see whether such a method would work.
Much to Peter’s surprise, his guess was correct. As the Hand Seal was performed, a Hexagram array indeed formed in the sky, and a Wolf Shaped soul from the top of the White Wolf merged into it.
With the fusion, Peter felt a connection between himself and the fierce beast—it was the Master Servant Control Technique!
Success!
All three women looked curiously at Peter, not expecting such a method of taming.
