Chapter 1941: Chapter 1939: Competing for Wild Grass
Gabriella Graham returned to the Spiritual Spring Sect’s group, and the two sides had not yet begun to battle, still engaged in a standoff.
When they saw Gabriella Graham return alone, the Hundred-Star Rank person from her sect looked at her and said, "Where’s Sebastian Winchester?"
It must be said that women are often masters at acting. Gabriella Graham’s face immediately showed an expression of sorrow as she said, "While we were chasing Peter Brown, we suddenly encountered a powerful burst of Earthfire. My junior brother chased too eagerly and charged right into it."
Ah!
Upon hearing this, everyone understood that Sebastian Winchester had died in such a manner.
The Hundred-Star Level person immediately glared at Gabriella Graham with fury in his voice, "How were you protecting him, you?"
He looked like he wanted to kill Gabriella Graham right then and there.
"Old Winchester, we should prioritize obtaining the Holy Grass right now."
An elder from their Hundred-Star Rank loudly said to the surname Winchester person.
Everyone knew that William Winchester was part of the Winchester clan. It was because of him that Sebastian Winchester became a disciple of the Spiritual Spring Sect and advanced to the Eleven-star Level with his assistance. William Winchester had intended to groom Sebastian as his successor, but now that Sebastian was suddenly gone, the blow to him could not be small.
"Master Sun, I also did not expect it to turn out this way. Peter Brown is too cunning. He used the spouting Earthfire to escape, and I do not know to what place he fled. I am guilty," Gabriella Graham said, tears streaming down her face.
In fact, seeing that Gabriella Graham had always treated Sebastian Winchester quite well, the disciples of the Spiritual Spring Sect were uncomfortable, but given William Winchester’s influence and suspecting Gabriella Graham acted under his direction, they could only bury their discomfort. Now, hearing that Sebastian was actually dead, they not only did not feel sad, they were secretly pleased.
Now, seeing William Winchester about to blame Gabriella Graham, everyone immediately spoke up in defense of her.
"Get up. It’s not your fault." At this point, William Winchester could only absolve Gabriella Graham from blame.
Gabriella Graham stood up, still exhibiting an expression of sorrow.
"Step aside," William Winchester said, waving his hand towards her as she looked on in distress.
Having dealt with this matter, William Winchester then turned his attention to the people from the opposing group.
"Do you, the Water Sect, truly wish to become enemies with our Spiritual Spring Sect?"
The opposing Hundred-Star Rank elder leading them smiled and said, "For a long time, it has been the few major sects that have held control over everything. However, since the emergence of holy energy, everything has started to change, and the cultivation levels of each sect have also been changing. It’s true that the Water Sect didn’t have strong experts before, but ever since we discovered a small fruit tree, the Water Sect is no longer what it used to be. I advanced directly from the 80-Star Rank to the Hundred-Star Rank and still have potential to grow. Several of the Great Elders under me have also risen quickly, and we have Hundred-Star Level amongst us, with even more people at the Eighty and Ninety-Star Ranks. With such power, why should we fear you? We are determined to obtain this Illusion Spirit Grass!"
Hearing the old man speak, William Winchester’s face shifted subtly. Just as the old man said, those who used to be overlooked were now showing their strength. Due to the stroke of chance, many in the smaller factions had cultivation levels not inferior to those of the people from the major sects.
"Emily Turner, we discovered this Illusion Spirit Grass first."
"I don’t care who discovered it first. As long as it grows, it’s up to everyone to fight for it. Whoever obtains it will own it." "Attack!"
William Winchester was already seething with anger. Seeing the other party’s uncompromising stance, he gave a loud shout and led his people into the fray.
When Peter Brown arrived, the battle between the two sides was just getting underway.
Looking around, Peter Brown did not find the presence of other powers. This place was isolated enough that no matter how heated the fight, it would not attract outside attention.
Peter Brown had taken out the Invisibility Talisman early on. With this talisman and the dark surroundings, he was not worried about being discovered by the high-level experts.
Peter Brown did not rush to take action; instead, he concealed himself and watched the battle unfold.
It was clear that both sides were fiercely relentless in their pursuit of what they termed as Illusion Spirit Grass.
Peter had also heard the words of the man from the Water Sect named Emily Turner. When he looked at him, he could indeed sense that his aura was very strong.
It seemed that, at least until a certain level, there would be no hindrance to cultivation enhancement after consuming fruits immersed in holy energy.
His gaze turned to the Illusion Spirit Grass, still dazzling to the eye. Peter knew that such holy energy-infused grass should be directly consumable, and he wondered what effect consuming this wild grass would have.
He had to obtain it!
Even with many people around, this Illusion Spirit Grass, which Peter Brown had discovered first, naturally had to be claimed by him.
People with Hundred-Star Rank power on both sides made the battle erupt in chaos.
However, the Holy Grass, soaked with holy energy, was unharmed even by the most powerful energies launched against it.
As Peter Brown looked on, the Earth beneath began to spew flames.
These flames appeared swiftly, killing more than a dozen people from both sides in an instant.
Both groups had around thirty people each, and now, with some dead, everyone became even more cautious.
However, it was clear that those above the 80-Star Rank, who could teleport, were not worried about saving themselves. At the moment of the Earthfire’s approach, they had already floated to another location.
If it had been before, these people would not have had any problems, but since Peter Brown’s arrival, things had started to change.
The Earthfire’s eruption seemed to be getting fiercer!
At that moment, Peter had a realization: the Earthfire eruption must also have an active period.
He couldn’t wait any longer!
With that thought, Peter Brown cautiously approached the center of the fray.
With each step, he took the opportunity during the intense energy clashes to plant a formation disk into the ground.
After making a round trip, Peter Brown had established a Trapping Array that ensnared the entire area.
Peter took a glance and felt it wasn’t enough, so he made some modifications to the Trapping Array, even incorporating a Maze Array inside it.
"Then I’ll borrow some energy from underground!" After setting up the formation, Peter Brown cast a Hand Seal, and a surge of energy shot towards the central formation eye.
"What’s going on?" Emily Turner’s expression changed, not expecting trouble and immediately suspecting William Winchester’s mischief.
William Winchester was equally puzzled, seeing that everything around was changing.
Everyone was suddenly caught in a combination of a Trapping Array and Maze Array, uncertain of what to do next.
