Chapter 1933: Chapter 1931: Goal Programming
Seeing Peter Brown return safely, all his subordinates gathered here, eager to know what exactly had happened and how the various Sects were treating Peter Brown this time.
To be honest, when they heard the news that the Sects had invited Peter Brown, everyone was apprehensive. The Sects had always been a mighty presence in the hearts of those from the Divine Race, and everyone was delighted at the prospect of joining a Sect. Facing the Sects, few had the confidence to stand against them, let alone fight.
After Peter Brown’s departure to King’s City, various speculations arose. Of course, no one really held out much hope for Peter Brown, for even though he was strong, he was up against the collective might of many Sects. Could Peter Brown really stand against them?
The people of Prince Harvey’s Mansion were equally worried about this situation, for the Sects were truly too powerful.
Just as everyone was worrying, what they did not expect was for Peter Brown to come out unscathed, and they even saw the Sects personally sending Peter Brown off.
Only the Sects and Peter Brown knew what had transpired, and people could only speculate about the events that had taken place.
"Your Highness, may I ask what the Sects have requested?" Sam Collins was the first to inquire.
"Yes, the people from the Sects must have joined forces. They definitely want us to cede part of the territory we have occupied. It’s just unclear how much they want us to give up," Jett Johnson asked anxiously. In his mind, as long as Peter Brown was safe, it was a victory, and the division of territory seemed inevitable.
"Your Highness, there’s no need to overthink it. After all, the disparity in our strength is too great!" Xandros Walker sighed.
Seeing everyone’s expressions, Peter Brown laughed and said, "Have you never considered that we could be the dominant ones?"
Philips Williams said, "Your Highness, the Sects have always been a powerful presence. There’s no shame in losing to them."
Peter Brown replied with a slight smile, "This time, we have formed an alliance with the various Sects."
Everyone was immediately excited by this statement. An alliance meant that Peter Brown wasn’t going to be dealt with by the Sects, which was undeniably good news—with Peter Brown alive, there was hope.
Seeing smiles appear on everyone’s faces, Peter Brown said, "The territories we occupy belong to us."
"What?"
This truly surprised everyone. It was something they had never even considered.
"Your Highness, we have occupied more than a third of the territory of the Purpolia Kingdom!" Austin Hall said hesitantly.
"Indeed, those territories will no longer be contested from now on. They belong to us, and you must secure our lands," Peter Brown insisted.
"Your Highness, the Sects didn’t ask us to cede any land?" Sam Collins asked, somewhat stunned.
Peter Brown chuckled and pointed at his subordinates, "You all seem to think we don’t have the power to stand against them? Let me tell you, we are not weak. Whoever dares to provoke us, I will destroy their Sect!"
At that moment, Peter Brown exuded a commanding aura.
"Really, no need to cede anything?" This time even Philips Williams was hesitant.
"Whoever dares to trouble us will face battle. I’m telling you, from now on, those lands we occupy are ours. Alas, it’s only because our strength is somewhat lacking. Otherwise, the entire Purpolia Kingdom should belong to us—it’s due to our insufficient power!" Peter Brown said, feeling somewhat aggrieved over the matter.
Everyone looked at each other, suddenly realizing they had not quite understood Peter Brown. He had secured such an advantage and still spoke of lacking strength—what more was there to say!
"Your Highness, this is wonderful! If that’s truly the case, we can establish our own nation. The preparations for Your Highness’s ascension to the throne can begin!" Sam Collins was the first to express excitement. After all, his daughter was the princess consort, soon to be Empress. The Harrison family had truly made it big!
"The Sects aren’t taking any of our land?" Xander Army felt a sense of disbelief; the situation was too perplexing.
Peter Brown looked at his people and said sternly, "Remember, our power is not inferior to anyone, nor any power. Those Sects and powers, if they truly intend to do something, will have to endure our retaliation. So, stand tall for me."
Now, as they turned to look at Peter Brown, they realized their prince was indeed a formidable figure, unflinching in the face of the Sects.
Any unease they had felt was quickly settling down.
Peter Brown had been quietly observing everyone’s mood and saw their turning point. He understood it would take time for mentalities to change and was sympathetic to their feelings.
"Philips Williams, select the best from your subordinates for me. Our security is in your hands," Peter Brown instructed.
Philips Williams eagerly assented.
Peter Brown turned to the other generals, "Our strength is obviously still lacking, mainly because we don’t have many experts in our hands. But all that will change. From now on, our nation will not be just any nation but a grand Sect. The nation will be the Sect, and the Sect will be the nation. I intend to make our nation known and feared far and wide."
Everyone, upon hearing Peter Brown dream so big, was baffled, as this was something they had never even considered.
Peter Brown did not elaborate further. There was no need to explain his thoughts to them; as power developed, their perspectives would naturally shift.
"Mr. Collins, from now on, you must focus on preparing for the enthronement," Brown said.
Mr. Collins replied loudly, "Rest assured, Your Highness. Everything is almost ready, and the coronation can take place at any moment."
Peter Brown then turned to Jett Johnson, "Do take extra care in managing the different regions."
Jett Johnson was of course elated. He had not expected the prince he followed to be so powerful. Although Peter Brown was no longer the Fourteenth Prince, following such a person offered a brighter future. This surely was good news.
"Your Highness, rest assured; I will dedicate myself fully to this task."
Peter Brown then addressed Xandros Walker, "The Army needs a tiered management system. The strongest among them must undergo intensive training. We rely on these generals and soldiers, and I will equip them with stronger items."
Xandros Walker nodded vigorously, "Your Highness, we will work hard."
After arranging these matters, Peter Brown finally considered the matter of holy energy. In truth, he was very clear in his heart that this was pivotal for their development.
