Chapter 1931: Chapter 1929: The Assumptions of All Parties

Peter Brown once again arrived at Star City where the Sect meeting was held, and his treatment was clearly very different this time.

First, the leaders of each Sect all came out to greet him, and then he was arranged to stay in the best place.

Peter didn’t bring many people to the meeting this time. After all, he knew that his own followers were the weakest, so he simply only brought some eunuchs and maids.

When Peter entered the meeting place, he saw at a glance that the leaders of the various Sects had already arrived.

After a round of introductions, Peter took his seat.

After sitting down, Peter felt everyone’s gaze firmly on him.

The meeting was chaired by Quentin Taylor from the Heavenly Domain Gate.

Looking at Peter, Quentin Taylor said, "Ladies and gentlemen, now that all the powers in the Purpolia Kingdom region have arrived, everyone knows that Peter is not the true prince of the Purpolia Kingdom, so we can speak plainly now. Clearly, the Purpolia Kingdom has lost its reason to exist."

Looking at Peter, he asked, "I wonder, Peter, do you agree with my view?"

Peter said, "Regardless of my background now, one thing is certain, I still have the identity of a prince, and moreover, I occupy a large area of the Purpolia Kingdom. I am currently preparing for my ascension."

Ah!

Everyone took a sharp breath upon hearing Peter’s words, sensing a killing intent in his speech. His intent to ascend was a clear indication that he intended to inherit the entire territory of the Purpolia Kingdom!

No one was pleased to see this, and the faces of those sitting there turned sour as they heard Peter’s position.

The leader of the Skyreach Sect, who was also an Eighteen-Star Level expert named Albert Hall, said in a deep voice, "Peter, everyone is well aware of your current situation; isn’t it inappropriate to continue using the identity of a prince?"

Peter smiled faintly and said, "Anyway, the territory I occupy is off-limits to others. If you disagree, let’s battle it out."

This was even more domineering, causing everyone’s faces to darken further.

After a while, Quentin Taylor said, "Let’s talk it out first and discuss later."

Peter was all too clear about what today’s meeting was about; the Sect’s People had certainly discussed this multiple times. They summoned him with the sole purpose of forcing him to agree to their conditions; he had to show some strength, or they might just walk all over him. They were likely also testing his limits.

Quentin Taylor looked at Peter again and said, "Peter, I guess you aren’t quite clear about the current situation. With the appearance of holy energy in this world, the entire situation has greatly changed. Those of us Sects from distant places came here seeking holy energy. In front of holy energy, we all hope to grasp some opportunities. It’s not just our Sects, I know that even more remote Sects have sent people; they just haven’t shown their power yet. Once everyone arrives, not only the Purpolia Kingdom region but even the other Divine Nations will be drawn into this great conflict. By then, even the strength of a single Sect might not suffice. Our current goal is to negotiate as much as possible and divide the governance of this area without weakening our Sects’ power."

"Indeed, Peter, there are some things you may indeed be unaware of. After the arrival of holy energy, some people who first got the opportunity seized the holy energy. But, the holy energy does not stay within one’s body just because they seized it; it will also transfer to another destined person if the initial bearer is killed. So, as far as we’re concerned, each owning a territory, having an area that produces holy energy is enough; having too large a territory is not useful."

Peter was amused. These Sect’s People were treating him as if he knew nothing. Of course, the more holy energy one obtained, the better. They were trying to change the concept, saying that only a little was enough.

"Everyone, do you really think I’m someone who knows nothing?"

Peter said solemnly.

Upon hearing Peter’s words, everyone looked at each other, and their expressions grew grave.

In fact, there was an explorative intention in their words. If Peter had believed them, it would have meant he had no major powers behind him. If Peter didn’t believe them, it indicated that the Major Powers had already informed him.

Now, listening to Peter’s tone, everyone’s heart sank, thinking perhaps the powerful and distant Sects had really arrived, and Peter was their spokesperson.

Speaking was a member from the Spiritual Spring Sect, who hesitated and said, "We only know of this situation, is there anything else we’re missing?"

Peter didn’t want to discuss with them and said earnestly, "I want to make my stance clear now: Whoever occupies the territory should own it first. If anyone is dissatisfied with their current land, they’re free to wage war and take it by force. What do you think?"

Dominant!

Peter still displayed a dominant attitude.

But the more domineering Peter’s stance was, the less eager they were to start a war.

For a moment, everyone fell silent.

After a while, Carter Greenhill from the Beast Sect said, "Peter, you have a history with Our Beast Sect, and some territories that originally belonged to us have fallen under your control. Now, in light of our past connection, could you perhaps cede a piece of land to us?"

"I haven’t received any help from Our Beast Sect. On the contrary, it was Our Beast Sect that secretly cultivated another prince, right?" Peter bluntly retorted.

Carter Greenhill was somewhat unable to save face and said in a deep voice, "A single person’s power is not enough to stand against all sides. Peter, I think we should prioritize peace."

There was a threatening tone in his words.

Peter laughed and said, "I really don’t believe I can’t withstand it. What is it? Is it war? I have never been afraid. Don’t covet my territories. I know you have received a lot of benefits in other Divine Nations. Anyway, I’ve said my piece – if anyone dares to enter my territory, then it’s war with me. I don’t mind a battle, I even relish the thought of battling all the Sects’ forces!"

After finishing his speech, Peter stood up and said, "This is my stance. I won’t provoke anyone, and no one else should provoke me!"

PS: I recommend the new book by Shizhangyu, "Substitute Thief." The male protagonist should have been clothed in books and literary grace, and the female protagonist should have been adept with charming smiles and moonlight burials. Yet, born in times of chaos, with national and family hatred alike, the land shattered, strong powers divided, and ancestors shamed. So, he discarded his books, and she took up guns and swords, guarding the Dragon Vein, exploring the deep abyss, seizing the celestial coffin, and battling the demon stars. Kill one in ten steps, leaving no tracks over thousands of miles. When all is done, depart without a trace, deep hiding merit and fame!
