Chapter 1853: Chapter 1851: Harvesting Beast Art
Beast Sect’s Remington Davis never expected this kind of situation.
Although Remington Davis was not weak and had many techniques, once trapped in this formation, he felt powerless.
Normally, he wouldn’t be afraid of an enemy far stronger than him, but what he didn’t expect was to be trapped in a formation.
It was a formation he had never heard of.
Trapped in the formation, the only thing Remington Davis could do was to continually unleash his energy in attacks.
At a glance, there were fierce beasts everywhere. Logically, as a member of the Beast Sect with the ability to tame beasts, he tried to tame them but soon realized these fierce beasts were merely illusions; they appeared to be beasts, but they were actually just energies.
What to do?
Remington Davis was stunned, having never encountered such a situation.
However, the formation did not shift with Remington Davis’s will. It continued its relentless assault, and the attacks were tremendously powerful.
He was doomed!
Remington Davis truly didn’t know what to do, as the relentless barrage of illusory beasts hit him directly.
"Stop, I surrender!"
Seeing no means of escape, fear overwhelmed Remington Davis’s face, thinking that his opponent might be a supreme master who simply concealed his cultivation.
For a cultivator, life is more important than anything. He was acutely aware of this, losing life meant losing everything. Thus, preserving his own life was paramount.
Hearing Remington Davis’s words within the formation, Peter Brown shook his head secretly. If his own cultivation were higher, he might have spared him. The key issue was that his cultivation was only at the Ten-Star Realm. If he let him go, he wouldn’t be able to subdue him again. So, the only option for him was to kill Remington Davis. Only by eliminating his opponent could he ensure his own safety. Thus, Peter didn’t respond but instead intensified his manipulation of the formation to enhance his attacks.
The consumption of Divine Stone was significant, but for Peter, time was paramount. He didn’t know if there were any masters in the opponent’s cavern nor when they might arrive. He had to kill his opponent as quickly as possible.
A barrage of attacks struck Remington Davis.
After repeated strikes, there was not a single unharmed spot on Remington Davis’s body. With a cultivation of Twenty-Seven Stars, Remington Davis was quite skilled. Yet, facing this mode of attack, each of his attacks were guided by the formation, dispersing their energy into the Azure Sky.
His cultivation fell bit by bit from Twenty-Seven Stars, with the rate of decline accelerating over time.
Seeing the rapid decline in his opponent’s cultivation, Peter intensified his attacks even further, deploying an Energy Gathering Array with a formation disk to drive his energy assaults.
After another round of attacks, Peter’s broadsword suddenly appeared within the formation.
Pfft!
Remington Davis never imagined he would die this way.
With a single slash, Remington Davis’s head flew off.
As the head flew off, Peter’s powerful energy immediately enveloped it, and under the energy bombardment, the entire head disintegrated.
Still distrustful of his opponent’s body, given that dwellers in the mortal world have strong life force, Peter launched another bombardment, disintegrating Remington Davis’s body entirely.
Peter initially wanted to extract some information from his opponent’s Brain Domain, but he knew he had no time for that.
Seeing the situation resolved, Peter grabbed a ring from the corpse, then deployed the Thunder Talisman to create a façade of Remington Davis undergoing a Heavenly Disaster before fleeing at high speed.
Peter was truly fleeing for his life, unsure whether any foes would appear and could only run as far as he could.
Peter continuously unleashed exploration talismans as he ran for three days.
Peter didn’t know how far he had run, but by the end of the three days, he had nearly escaped the area.
Glancing ahead, Peter saw what seemed to be the place where he was captured and brought into the Star Sect.
He arrived!
Finally, he had reached the place!
Peter felt a sense of survival after a calamity.
Noticing his arrival, Peter’s Divine Sense scanned the area and immediately identified a cliff.
This was the place!
Seeing the location, Peter knew this was where he could fabricate a story of obtaining a Cultivation Technique.
After confirming no one was pursuing him, Peter reached the cliff and began his search.
Shortly after, he indeed found a cave on the midslope of the cliff.
Seeing the location, Peter was overjoyed as it was precisely what he needed.
After making some arrangements there, Peter finally relaxed.
Without leaving immediately, Peter sat down cross-legged in the cave.
Peter hadn’t eaten at all during the three days; ordinarily, a person would have starved, but fortunately, Peter’s body was robust enough to handle it.
After resting for a while, Peter took out some prepared food from the Ring and had a good meal. After eating, he finally had time to examine the ring he took from Remington Davis.
Upon examining the ring, Peter realized he had overlooked an issue. Even if it was considered a Heavenly Disaster, people finding Remington Davis’s ring missing would undoubtedly be suspicious.
Of course, powerful Heavenly Disasters could destroy a ring.
After some thought, Peter decided not to worry anymore. Whatever the situation might be, he didn’t need to speculate. His current plan was to enter King’s City, reclaim his princely identity and lay low while assimilating his gains.
Peter knew this venture might have truly made him wealthy. The Star Sect’s inheritance alone would be enough to sustain him for an extended period, and the techniques in Remington Davis’s ring from the Beast Sect would also suffice.
Peter even speculated that if he managed well, he could reach the Hundred-Star Realm while still in the Land of Secularity.
