Chapter 1828: Chapter 1826: It’s not easy to become a farming Chore Disciple
Glancing over the twenty-some people, Brian Hughes shook his head and said, "Indeed, this is a barren land, and it’s so difficult to even find a few Chore Disciples, sigh, never mind, don’t bother showing me your Energy Application Technique now. From this moment on, you are all Chore Disciples of Our Faction."
Upon hearing these words, everyone finally let out a sigh of relief, with a few nearly collapsing on the spot. Peter guessed they hadn’t mastered the Energy Application Technique.
Giving those few people another look, Brian Hughes snorted and said, "Don’t think you’ve passed just by this. Divine Valley matures in three months, so every three months, there will be a task competition based on contribution. There is a basic contribution standard, and failing to meet it leads down the same dead-end road."
There was more to this!
Everyone’s expressions changed once again.
Brian Hughes continued, "Not just that, but even your food expenses are included. If you can’t earn enough for your meals, you can only borrow money, and if you can’t borrow, it’s the same as a death sentence."
Peter also shook his head secretly; it seemed competition within the Divine Sect was fierce, a matter of life and death. He needed to be more cautious.
"Take note, the tools issued to you are also charged, and you must not damage them. If there is any damage, that too will be deducted from your expenses."
After saying these words, Brian Hughes pointed toward the distant wasteland and remarked, "See that? That area will be our land. How much you reclaim is up to you; the greater the contribution, the richer the rewards. It all depends on you. Oh, and I must warn you here, do not fight over each other’s territory. Just mind your own business. I will only look at your contribution points."
Having finished speaking, Brian Hughes swiftly departed, leaving everyone uncertain about his next course of action.
There were twenty-six survivors. They looked at each other, stayed silent, shouldering their hoes as they made their way towards the distance.
Peter had also noticed that everyone preferred to work individually, avoiding conversation, and not gathering together but reclaiming their own pieces of wasteland.
He shook his head and walked toward a desolate spot.
Peter had already eyed a region near the mountains.
Upon arrival, he discovered it was indeed an excellent place, with a Blockbuster expanse of wasteland unfolding before him.
Peter, coming from a Farmer’s background, was no stranger to farming, he even felt a sense of familiarity with it now.
Instead of starting to dig, Peter sat cross-legged, deep in thought. He had some tricks up his sleeve, which he could perhaps utilize now, though he wasn’t sure if there would be any problems doing so.
Better not!
After thinking it over, Peter set aside those thoughts. In such a scenario, with his cultivation still so low, it was best to go with the flow and understand the situation first.
As he began using the Divine Bull Technique, Peter felt a surge of immense energy infuse into the hoe.
With a single hoe plunge, the mud was turned over.
Carefully examining the unearthed soil, Peter noticed that it was truly different from that of the Lower Realm, filled with Vitality and Energy, with life energy permeating this Earth.
Soil in the Divine Realm was so full of vitality!
Looking ahead, Peter sighed to himself. He really couldn’t comprehend the Land of the Divine Realm. What seemed like stars in the Lower Realm were actually land – what kind of expression was this?
Although he couldn’t understand it, Peter didn’t dwell on it and just kept digging.
At first, Peter hoed using the method of the Divine Bull Technique. As he dug, an idea sparked in his Brain – energy application was just a matter of technique, so why not modify it to enhance its Power?
With that in mind, Peter kept digging while contemplating an improvement method.
The hoe pierced into the Earth, a unique process where life energy would Merge. He pondered why not explore this aspect further?
With this new understanding, each of Peter’s hoe strokes began to change markedly.
Fortunately, no one else was around, as everyone else was occupied with their work. Otherwise, they would have noticed Peter’s increasing speed, and how each stroke delved deeper into the soil.
The Divine Bull Technique would pour spent life energy into the land with each dig, but Peter’s approach was different. Before any energy burst happened, he reclaimed the life energy, allowing him to dig faster, and thus he didn’t exhaust much life energy.
After a day, Peter had reclaimed ten acres of land.
Seeing such a large piece cultivated, Peter was even surprised at himself – the speed and strength of his work were awesome.
After some thought, Peter didn’t continue to dig. After all, he had a Task to complete. First, he needed to plant the Divine Valley Seeds.
After preparing the cultivated land, Peter took out the distributed Divine Valley Seeds and planted them one by one.
Now it was time for the Protection Skill!
The information given by Brian Hughes had made it clear that Divine Valley didn’t just grow on its own; it required stability and proper temperature to thrive.
Having learned the first layer of the Protection Skill, it wasn’t too difficult for Peter. He steadily built an ambient Space Domain.
The Cultivation Technique was continuously applied, and Peter gained more insight into this Protection Skill.
Once he had everything set up for the region, Peter looked over the area and admired the Cultivation Technique of the Divine Realm. Such techniques could actually stabilize the environment.
Alright, one application of the Cultivation Technique per day should suffice. Now, he had completed the most basic Task.
Peter couldn’t help feeling a bit sentimental. Being a Farmer in the Divine Realm wasn’t easy. Luckily, coming from a Farmer background, these tasks weren’t too difficult for him.
Looking at the Space Domain he had created, Peter felt it was still unsafe. Although it was unlikely that others would tamper with it, what if someone did?
If he couldn’t deliver the basic quota of Divine Valley, it could cost him his life.
Peter couldn’t worry about the repercussions now. Thinking that he should set up a Maze array to prevent anyone under ten stars from entering, he took out some Top Grade Divine Stones and began Inscribing the formation.
