Peter Brown gathered the key figures together and briefed everyone on the information gathered by the scouts. After the briefing, he said, "This situation has presented us with an opportunity. Let’s discuss it."

Soren Wright said, "Your Highness, I have a thought. We could actually split our forces. Some of us could infiltrate the city and, when the time comes, open the city gates, while the rest could crush the enemy troops outside the city."

Austin Hall frowned and said, "We have only thirty thousand troops to begin with. If we divide our forces further, can we truly defeat the enemy?"

Sasha Clark smiled and said, "As soon as our army appears, City Lord Brooklyn Robertson will surely lead his troops out. Most of their high-level cultivators will be deployed, so those remaining to defend the city likely won’t be very strong—perhaps only two or three Seven-star cultivators at most. If that’s the case, our Ten Absolute Array can certainly handle them. I propose we dispatch several teams composed of Six-star Personnel in Ten Absolute Arrays to enter the city. Soren Wright and the others changed into ordinary clothes and headed towards Wavehider City in groups.

Peter continuously kept abreast of their progress through scout reports.

"Your Highness, they have all successfully entered Wavehider City," Weston Hendricks said with a smile, knowing the formidable combination of the formation and Energy Bombs. With proper execution, they stood a good chance of capturing Wavehider City.

Peter was also pleased and smiled, "Now it’s up to us. If we cannot defeat Brooklyn Robertson’s troops, all will be in vain."

Austin Hall laughed and said, "Your Highness is overthinking it. Not even the powerful Flying Star Army could stand against us, so what can their city defense army do? We just need to eliminate Brooklyn Robertson, and victory will be ours!"

"Go and make ready for battle; it’s time for us to make our move!" Peter’s orders were once more dispatched.

As the orders were given, the thirty thousand troops rose up once again.

The morale of the Wind and Thunder Army was incredibly high. Following their continuous victories, their confidence in battling the enemy had grown—they were no longer avoiding combat.

"Forward!"

At Peter’s command, the thirty thousand-strong army suddenly appeared outside Wavehider City.

Looking at the towering city walls from a distance, Peter was astonished. These were nothing like the smaller walls on Earth. They were immense, with gates several zhang high. Understanding that a frontal assault would likely be futile, Peter knew that if they had to force their way in, it would probably be impossible.

As soon as Peter’s army appeared, Brooklyn Robertson inside the city was alerted.

Standing atop the city wall, Brooklyn Robertson shouted, "What’s happening?"

"City Lord, this army of thirty thousand appeared out of nowhere. We don’t know where they came from. I’ve scrutinized them and most are low-level cultivators," someone reported.

Brooklyn Robertson surveyed the army and saw exactly what had been reported to him.

"Do they have any hidden forces?"

"City Lord, we’ve activated all external surveillance posts around the city and found no ambush. These people are likely just scattered troops from Purpolia Kingdom," came the answer.

"Indeed, they are scattered forces, their attire is inconsistent," agreed Brooklyn Robertson.

However, what puzzled Brooklyn Robertson was how the enemy suddenly appeared here.

"City Lord, they are retreating," someone pointed out as the troops from Purpolia Kingdom seemed to be making a rapid exit.

Brooklyn Robertson saw for himself and his eyes sparkled, "They must be defeated soldiers who banded together intending to attack Wavehider City, but upon seeing our readiness, they’ve changed their minds. It looks like they are retreating to their own country."

Having observed Peter’s army, Brooklyn Robertson had his speculations.

"Assemble the troops!" he commanded loudly.

"City Lord, be cautious of trickery!"

"Even if they are tricking us, what does it matter? From what I’ve seen of their forces, there aren’t many Seven-star experts, let alone any Eight-star. We are sure to win this battle. I wish to crush them completely with Great Power. Leave five thousand troops to defend the city; the remaining forty-five thousand will strike with me!"

Brooklyn Robertson was intent on crushing the thirty thousand troops of Purpolia Kingdom, knowing that prisoners of war could be exchanged for a considerable amount of money.
