Chapter 1765: Chapter 163: Powerful Strength
As he opened his eyes, Peter Brown felt that his vision was completely different now, with the yin and yang alternating within them. The sky he saw was utterly different; he could see far into the distance, even the surface of Mars seemed as though it was right before his eyes. Looking even farther, the fluctuations of energy between heaven and earth appeared even more mysterious.
It was as if he had been in a very long dream, yet he found everything to be so real.
When he quickly peered into the space below his navel, he saw two crystals that appeared firm and unyielding. Peter even had an epiphany in his mind: these were all the energies of Ethan Grey and Madison Burton, and he currently did not have the ability to absorb them.
What about the portal?
After searching for a while, he could no longer find any trace of the portal, and when he looked for the energy of kindness and belief again, Peter also could not find them anymore.
Indeed, everything had been arranged by Ethan Grey, who was clearly a Great Power, far too strong, manipulating everything in his hands.
No, that’s not right!
Peter suddenly realized that his memories of the women he had owned along his journey were fading away. When he thought about it more carefully, he bitterly smiled; one could say that all those women beyond Earth were illusory, all creations of Ethan Grey in a fictitious world. Now, the images of these people were disappearing and even being erased from his memory.
Not only that, but Peter also found that even the women he was involved with on Earth were being erased from his consciousness by some method Ethan Grey had employed.
Did they also lose their memories of this?
At the moment, Peter was lying on a grassy knoll on the mountain, the sunlight warming his body, yet, he had no desire to move at all; he found that he had suddenly lost all motivation, and everything had become so bland to him.
Gradually adapting to the breath around him, Peter felt detached from society.
As sunset approached, Peter finally started heading down the mountain.
Now, Peter had to admit that everything he had experienced was orchestrated by Ethan Grey and others; he had thought himself formidable, but in the end, it was all an illusion. The thought that he considered everything so real made him shake his head continuously—he truly believed that Earth was just a Cultivator!
Thinking about this, Peter couldn’t help but mock himself.
"Peter, where did you run off to? Aunt Collins is getting married today, hurry up and help out."
As he arrived at the house entrance, his mother’s voice jolted Peter considerably.
"Aunt Collins is getting married?" Peter’s eyes widened in shock as he looked at his mother.
"Yes, she’s marrying the wealthy boss from town, quite the catch; Aunt Collins has really jumped into a pool of honey."
When Peter rushed into Aunt Collins’ home next door, he saw many people from the village helping out; Aunt Collins seemed very joyful, chatting and laughing with everyone.
Seeing Peter arriving, Aunt Collins smiled and said, "Peter, can you lend a hand?"
Gazing into her eyes, Peter realized that Aunt Collins harbored no special feelings for him.
Damn it!
Anger rose within Peter’s heart as he realized that Ethan Grey and the others had indeed reversed everything.
With the yin and yang rotating in his eyes, Peter looked around once more, and had to accept the reality that the destinies of all his women had been altered by Ethan Grey and his ilk.
Listening to the villagers discuss how Aunt Collins’ man treated her well, Peter followed that information into the distance and soon saw the man Aunt Collins was to marry. He could discern that throughout his life, the man would indeed treat Aunt Collins very well.
After witnessing how things would unfold, Peter sighed deeply and turned away, leaving Aunt Collins’ house.
Returning inside the house and sitting down, Peter thought through the whole situation and gained some insight into the acts of Ethan Grey and the others; he couldn’t provide happiness for them, so he might as well let them live their simple lives.
Thinking so, Peter Brown’s heart still felt some discomfort.
"If I now go and alter Aunt Collins’ consciousness, I believe I could restore it, but would following me result in a good outcome for her?"
Peter shook his head, realizing they were on completely different paths; even if she followed him, Aunt Collins would still meet her end in a hundred years, and he couldn’t make her happy.
Forget it!
Peter completely let go of the matter.
"Why are you back so soon?" his mother walked in at that moment.
Looking at his mother, Peter felt a surge of emotion, not expecting to have come full circle after all.
"There’s nothing for me to help with."
"Sigh, what are you planning to do next?"
Startled by his mother’s question, Peter’s eyes swept around once more, observing the entire Earth’s situation as it appeared clearly amidst the rotation of Yin and Yang.
Peter noted that there was no alien invasion on Earth, nor any remarkable advancements in technology; everything seemed to have reverted back to how it was originally.
It seemed that many things had been influenced by Ethan Grey and his ilk.
Was all of this an illusion now?
Peter was somewhat confused.
However, Peter still realized that this time, it should indeed be a real existence.
Looking around, Peter’s gaze sharpened as he observed Earth’s fortune seemingly turning into a long thread, slowly being siphoned away.
Could it be that someone had begun to seize the world’s fortune?
Peter’s eyes looked even further into the distance, piercing through the Solar System, following that long thread, extending without end.
Yet, at the outermost reaches, Peter still could not discern who was seizing Earth’s fortune.
After such a discovery, Peter knew his path was truly different from everyone else’s; for him, it was perhaps necessary to embark on the Sacred Path, and at that moment, Peter even felt a spiritual sensation that the Strong Person seizing Earth’s fortune had detected his presence.
"Mom, I have my own path of development, don’t worry," said Peter, comforting his mother.
"Hmm, you’ve almost finished preparing the contracted land, what exactly will you plant there?"
Peter was startled again, realizing everything was changing, becoming something he felt somewhat unable to adapt to.
"It’s okay, I’ll take care of it. Right now, I need some quiet."
"All right then, go take a nap," she said.
Watching his mother leave, Peter felt somewhat dazed.
