Chapter 1720: Chapter 1718: Stimulator
After Salina posted the job positions online, the whole world buzzed with excitement again, as it was rare for the Smith Orbit Group to recruit, and many people applied online.
The power of AI was immense, and for every person who applied, the AI immediately began investigating their situations. In less than two days, a team of elites handpicked by the AI was chosen.
After being transported by flying car, Peter Brown selected a team, and after introducing his parents, he entrusted everything to a strong woman named Jennifer Smith, who would from then manage the massive charity foundation worth over 100 billion US Dollars.
With the parents as chairman and vice-chairman of the company and Jennifer Smith as General Manager, the company would annually invest the dividends from the parents into the foundation. The charity foundation was not just about philanthropy, it also made some investments. Peter didn’t intend to interfere too much anyway, at most he would have Salina secretly surveil it, and in case of any special incidents, Salina could directly intervene without fear of losing control.
Now that they had their own enterprise, the parents no longer asked about Peter’s affairs, immersing themselves in charitable work every day.
Seeing his parents so excited, Peter too was happy.
The triggering device should be about ready, right?
Peter had once again dedicated his efforts to developing that triggering device.
"Master, the stimulator has been produced, please take a look,"
Salina’s words filled Peter with great joy. When he entered the production workshop, he saw something resembling a handgun had been made.
Taking it out for inspection, it indeed looked just like a handgun, except that this one had a retractable card slot, meant for placing the core crystal.
Observing the card slot, Peter slightly furrowed his brows and said, "I remember that in the technology world there’s a kind of space technology, right? It can hide this card slot using space technology. Otherwise, it looks too bulky, and who knows how large the future crystals cores could be."
"A stimulator using that technology has been developed. What we’ve made here is a stimulator that allows the master to observe directly."
Realizing it was already done, Peter nodded slightly and asked, "Does this stimulator have a lifespan?"
"It has no lifespan; it’s made of nanomaterials, capable of self-repair. Moreover, for confidentiality reasons, unless this device is authorized by the master, if someone else acquires and attempts to use it, it will self-destruct."
Not bad at all!
Peter was even more satisfied. If this was the case, he wouldn’t worry about it being misused in the Land of the Sanctuary.
"Let’s name this gun the Crystal Core Gun."
With the Crystal Core Gun in hand, Peter placed the crystal core onto it.
As expected, the design was very practical. As soon as the crystal core was inserted, the gun exuded a powerful sense of energy.
Peter stepped outside onto an open field, which happened to have some steel materials there. Pointing the gun at the pile of steel, he fired a shot.
Boom!
A streak of ice from the Crystal Core Gun blazed forth and heavily struck the stack of steel.
At first glance, Peter was somewhat surprised to see the steel pile blasted into a heap of scrap metal.
Approaching, Peter saw the steel broken into pieces, a large crater formed at the spot.
Very powerful!
Observing the gun, Peter understood that the Crystal Core Gun had indeed replicated the ice bomb ability of the wild boar.
"Master, please place the crystal core on the inspection table for me to detect the energy consumption,"
Peter then remembered to consider the energy expenditure of the ice bomb.
Soon after the detection was completed, Salina reported, "Master, according to my calculations, this crystal core can be used nine more times."
"That’s not right, didn’t the wild boar attack me continuously? So it can only be used nine more times, meaning it can only fire ten shots?"
"According to estimations, that life form was operating automatically, continuously replenishing energy into the crystal core. The master is using a crystal core without energy replenishment, so it naturally cannot last long."
Peter nodded in understanding and asked, "Is it possible to develop a Crystal Core Gun that can recharge itself with energy?"
"It should be possible, but the energy in this domain is insufficient to meet the recharging needs."
"Develop the gun anyway, I will use it when I get to the Land of the Sanctuary."
Peter didn’t keep this handgun but looked for the one made using space technology.
This gun was far more interesting. The entirety of the handgun, except for the grip, was hidden by space technology, making it look like Peter was using some hidden weapon when he attacked someone; it was impossible to tell what it actually was.
This is the handgun I was looking for!
After placing the crystal core on this gun, Peter decided not to test fire anymore, trusting in Salina’s calculating capabilities to have already determined the gun’s performance.
This time Peter didn’t have much to take with him; aside from still carrying the big saber, the Crystal Core Gun became one of his aces. Now, Peter felt much more confident.
"Salina, how are the companies doing?"
"Master, rest assured, everything is proceeding smoothly, and the companies are operating normally, though there are many calls for you every day."
"You handle them yourself."
Peter really wasn’t interested in answering the calls.
"By the way, Master, surveillance has detected that an organization in the Island Nation, called the Hanagura-kai, is planning to kidnap your brother."
"Send out the robot warriors and wipe them all out. If there’s any situation like this in the future, just send the robot warriors to eliminate them without reporting to me."
"Understood."
Peter shook his head inwardly. Despite having taken many protective measures, there were still people targeting his family. He had no merciful thoughts for such people, and the most direct approach was to eliminate them.
Seeing that there was nothing else to deal with, Peter said to Salina, "Research that wild boar as much as possible, try to yield more results, especially those that can benefit my family."
After giving instructions, Peter took a step forward and, in an instant, had already arrived at the place where he had killed the wild boar.
A few days had passed, and the area had returned to calm, with the many wild beasts gone, and wild grass growing again, though the big pits still remained there.
Having surveyed the area, Peter continued to run forward.
