Chapter 1701: Chapter 1699: Is This Real?
"Reid, do you really think Peter could come up with a flying car?" Ivy Cooper asked Reid Nelson.
The two women, for some reason, had grown quite close since the company had been suppressed by the Collins Clan; now they appeared very friendly towards each other.
"Peter must be confident, otherwise he wouldn’t have achieved such remarkable results. Even if he can’t make it, the mobile game is doing well. Now the game is making hundreds of thousands in net profit every day, and tens of millions a month are not a problem at all," Reid answered.
"Peter is so awesome. I didn’t expect him to be this strong in computers."
Ivy looked enviously at Reid Nelson, who had leaned on Peter Brown sooner than she had, and now was ahead of her in every aspect regarding income. Ivy, having sided with Peter this time, was unsure whether it was the right or wrong decision.
"It doesn’t look like they’ve started producing yet. Everything outside seems to be in decline," Ivy said disappointedly as she looked at the exterior of the factory.
"Yeah, they haven’t started production yet? Didn’t Peter ask us to come here to discuss sales?"
Full of doubts, the two of them walked over.
Just as they reached the entrance, to their surprise, the door opened automatically.
Standing at the door and looking inside, they saw nothing unusual—just a green lawn and shady trees right before their eyes.
The two exchanged looks, unable to discern how this place could be for manufacturing cars.
"You’ve arrived?"
At that moment, Peter Brown, with a smile on his face, appeared before them.
"Peter, why doesn’t it look like there’s any manufacturing happening inside the factory?" Reid couldn’t help but ask.
"Come in," Peter said.
As the women entered, the door closed behind them again.
"Please get in the car."
A floating object that somewhat resembled a car was presented before them.
When it had arrived behind them, they had no idea.
At first glance, the two women exclaimed in surprise, "A UFO!"
"It’s designed in the style of a UFO, actually. The shape of a UFO is beneficial for minimizing impact and reducing the impact surface. It’s a very useful design in mechanics."
"Open the door."
Upon Peter’s command to the UFO-like object, a portal appeared.
"Please."
Peter motioned for the two women to enter.
The women took a look at Peter and then stepped inside.
Once inside, the two were bewildered; there were none of the usual parts for driving, only a screen was visible.
"To the factory."
Following Peter’s command, the flying car started to float away.
Sitting inside and looking out, the women could see they were indeed flying through the air.
Before they could get a clear view, they had already arrived at their destination.
"Never mind, I’ll take you on a flight around here first."
As Peter spoke, he directed the flying car out of the factory and into flight over the mountains.
At this point, the two beauties didn’t know what to say anymore, feeling as though they were in a dream.
"Try operating it yourselves," Peter said with a smile to the two women.
"We can operate it?"
"Of course, as long as the command is issued, that’s all that matters."
At this moment, a screen appeared in front of Reid Nelson.
Reid said, "Head back to the factory."
No sooner had she given the instruction than the flying car was already on its way to the factory.
Soon enough, while it was not flying too high in the mountains, the sensation of nearly skimming the ground was equally thrilling.
Ivy Cooper became excited too, and started issuing commands to another screen in front of her.
When the flying car returned to the factory, the two women were still excited, knowing full well the prowess of this flying car. They believed that once it was released, the whole world would go crazy for it.
After disembarking from the flying car, the two women examined it again and again.
"Could this flying car get stolen?" Ivy Cooper actually asked a question.
"We’ve added locks to the flying car. Unless operated personally, the car door can’t be opened. Additionally, the flying car has very strong protection— it’s impossible to breach it, even with a knife."
"Could the paint surface get scratched?"
"The paint I used is special. Try scratching it with a knife."
Peter Brown even passed over an ax for them to try.
"Really go at it?" Ivy Cooper looked at Peter Brown.
"You can’t damage it."
Ivy Cooper struck the flying car with all her might.
However, to her even greater amazement, not only did it not damage the car, but the paint surface didn’t sustain any scratches either.
"What kind of technology is this?"
After both women tried slashing it for a while and caused no damage, they were utterly baffled.
With a slight smile, Peter Brown said, "Let’s go inside the house and talk."
The two women now looked at Peter Brown with eyes filled with inscrutable feelings, realizing they truly couldn’t comprehend him at all. They hadn’t expected that Peter Brown could accomplish all this by himself.
As soon as they had taken their seats, they saw a stunningly beautiful young girl coming out with tea.
They looked at the beauty and then at Peter Brown, with complex expressions on their faces. They hadn’t expected Peter Brown to have such a beautiful attendant.
"Thank you. You are?" Reid Nelson turned to the beautiful girl and asked.
"You must be Ms. Woods. I am Lingyu, the master’s attendant."
What kind of title was that?
Both women looked at the beauty, puzzled, as she seemed incredibly gorgeous in every aspect.
Seeing their reactions, Peter Brown smiled and said, "Lingyu is the number one female robot produced here."
Robots?
This left both women completely flabbergasted.
"She’s a robot?" Pointing at Lingyu, Ivy Cooper felt as if her mind was in disarray. When had robots ever looked like this?
"Lingyu, show them your structure."
At Peter Brown’s command, Lingyu began to pull up her clothes, then lifted her skin, revealing the circuitry within her body to the two women.
She really was a robot!
The two women were thoroughly stunned. They had contemplated the idea of Peter Brown creating a flying vehicle, but they hadn’t imagined that Peter Brown had progressed so far. This kind of robot was at the absolute forefront of world technology.
What puzzled the women the most was how Peter Brown managed to create such a robot.
"Come on, I’ll take you to see our production line." Without regard for what the women were thinking, Peter Brown led them outside.
In the time that followed, both women went through a process filled with amazement, shocked by everything they saw—a veritable sci-fi realm. When they looked at Peter Brown again, they were completely at a loss for words.
