Chapter 1694: Chapter 1592: People of the Aldrich Family of Province City

Peter Brown had not expected those looking for benefits to arrive so quickly.

While Peter Brown’s recruitment fair was in progress, the doorbell of his room rang.

When Peter Brown went to open the door, he saw three young people walk in.

"Who are you?" Peter Brown looked puzzled at the three young people, who were clearly dressed in very expensive clothes. Even without knowing their value, their watches were evidently costly.

After checking Peter Brown from head to toe, the leader of the young men said, "You are Peter Brown?"

"Indeed."

"Good, if it’s you."

The young man stepped into the room and then sat down on the sofa.

The young man with him hurriedly offered a cigarette, while another used a lighter to help him light it.

After inhaling, the young man exhaled a large ring of smoke.

"Let me introduce myself. My name is Jaxon Collins, from the Aldrich Family of Province City."

Seeing Peter Brown’s puzzled expression, a young man became disgruntled and said sternly, "You haven’t heard of the Collins Clan? Country bumpkin!"

"Do I need to know?" Peter Brown somewhat understood that a major power had arrived, and he hadn’t expected them to come so soon.

"Introduce him a little."

The young man said with a smile.

Then, one of the young men loudly said, "Listen carefully, Mr. Collins’ grandfather is the third key person in Province City. Mr. Collins is such a significant figure that a single stamp of his foot could provoke an earthquake here. He has stakes in two listed companies and owns seven large companies, his influence spread across the entire province."

Genuinely surprised, Peter Brown said, "Aren’t you afraid of being duped?"

"What did you say?" Mr. Collins glared with both eyes.

"I mean, Mr. Collins, speak your business."

"Good, straightforward, I like that. Let’s put it this way, I am interested in that flying car of yours and I want to buy shares."

Not expecting the young master to have such discernment to take interest in his product, Peter Brown chuckled, "How would you buy the shares?"

One of the young men said, "You should know, with Mr. Collins’ connections, any company he invests in is bound to develop significantly. Mr. Collins will not take advantage of you; one million dollars for 80% of your company’s shares. You can remain the General Manager, and Mr. Collins will take care of the rest."

Peter Brown then burst out laughing, "Is one million a lot?"

"We are already aware of your company’s situation—a little company with nothing to its name. It’s quite generous of Mr. Collins to offer one million."

"Thank you for your interest, but I am not in need of money nor interested in sharing my stake. Please leave."

Peter Brown knew that from now on, his company would be targeted.

Having inspected Peter Brown, Mr. Collins said with a smile, "Do you know that if I didn’t make things easy for you, your company wouldn’t be able to operate at all?"

Peter Brown also smiled, "I would like to see just how extensive your power really is."

As the situation escalated, Peter Brown felt he had to revise his initially intended approach.

Laughing loudly, Mr. Collins got up and said, "Excellent, I believe you will come asking for my help. Here’s my number, keep it."

After finishing his speech, Jaxon Collins walked out briskly with the other two.

This young master really had confidence in his backing!

Peter Brown knew the blow from the Collins Clan was coming, but what he didn’t expect was that it would come faster than anticipated.

The very next morning, Reid Nelson returned.

They had left in good spirits, but they all returned with gloomy expressions.

"What happened?"

"CEO Wang, wherever we went to recruit, people from the Administrative Institution showed up. They would claim our company is illegal, a fake shell company, saying we engage in deceptive practices." One of the girls said indignantly.

Reid Nelson said, "CEO Wang, it’s obvious someone is interfering. I found out that people who were originally interested in joining us now refuse to come. Even at Provincial University, someone has spread word that our company doesn’t comply with regulations, claiming there’s a problem with our recruitment. How are we supposed to continue working like this?"

"Alright, I understand. You all go and rest for a bit, have something to eat. I’ll handle this."

After persuading everyone to leave, Peter Brown’s expression also turned grim; it seemed the Collins Clan had indeed begun their moves.

At that moment, Peter Brown received a call from Alfie Martin.

As soon as the call connected, Alfie Martin asked, "Professor Wang, do you have some conflict with the Collins Clan?"

It was indeed the Collins Clan!

"Yesterday a man named Jaxon Collins came, claiming to be from the Collins Clan."

"Jaxon Collins? He came to see you? Indeed, he’s the third young master of the Collins Clan—a difficult character!"

"Yes, he offered to invest one million dollars for 80% of our company’s shares, but I did not agree."

Alfie Martin hummed, "I knew it would be something like this. That boy has snatched quite a few businesses this way; he really thinks he’s untouchable!"

Though that was what he said, Alfie Martin still sighed, "It’s hard for me to finalize your company’s procedures now! Different departments have been instructed."

Peter Brown just chuckled, "I knew it was something like this, let it be."

"What will you do? They even want the school to revoke your professorship, but rest assured, as long as I, Alfie Martin, am here nothing of that sort will happen!"

"Thanks, Principal. I’ll handle this myself."

After hanging up, Peter Brown sighed deeply, not expecting it to be so difficult even to do one thing.

Sitting there, after thinking for a while, Peter Brown received another call from Jaxon Collins.

As soon as the call connected, Jaxon Collins laughed loudly, "Peter Brown, hehe, how are things? How are you considering my offer for shares?"

Peter Brown said, "Do you know the consequences of your actions? You are causing trouble!"

"Yo, great, let’s continue playing."

After Jaxon Collins hung up, a fierce glint appeared in Peter Brown’s eyes. Did they really think he had no means to deal with the Collins Clan?

Walking over, Peter Brown typed rapidly on his computer, and with the final keystroke, the computer’s screen began to change.

After a while, a pleasant voice came through.

"Master, I am your AI servant, please give me a name."

"Salina."

"Salina will serve you."

"Search online for the Collins Clan of the province, find out all about the Collins Clan, especially any illegal and criminal activities and documents. Once found, anonymously upload everything to the Internet!"

"Understood."

With the command issued, Peter Brown wanted to see just how-capable his AI really was. Since the Collins Clan had positioned themselves in his way, it was time to kick them aside.
