Chapter 1674: Chapter 1672: Also Gained His Own Influence

When Peter Brown came out of the bedroom, he was somewhat surprised to find that quite a number of people had arrived. Nearly all individuals from his own faction as well as those aligned with Henry Ford were in attendance, creating a bustling scene in the living room.

Seeing Peter emerge, everyone greeted him one after another.

Peter reciprocated warmly, saying hello to everyone.

After taking a seat, River Hill said, "Boss, congratulations on becoming our company’s manager."

"Yeah, it was only after Mr. Armstrong called me that I found out."

Peter intentionally mentioned the phone call from Tobia Armstrong. Sometimes showing off one’s connections was necessary, as everyone had already placed him in Tobia Armstrong’s camp, there was no reason to hide it.

Sure enough, when everyone heard that it was indeed Tobia Armstrong who had called, their eyes sparkled with even more surprise and delight.

Florida Collins laughed and said, "Boss, you really are awesome. Under your guidance, we achieved a substantial result in the tender process. This project is also one to be proud of within the whole Group."

A squad leader joked, "Of course, everywhere else is showing zero results, only CEO Wang here has achieved something. If not promote CEO Wang, then who?"

CEO Wang?

Peter was speechless at this title, never expecting to receive such a moniker.

"Brother Wang, you really are amazing. Not only are you the General Manager of our subsidiary, but you’re also the Executive Deputy Manager of the new main branch, holding power on both sides!"

Leah Nelson was also excited at this time, feeling assured that she had chosen the right side. Thinking of the two women in the office, how Imogan Jones failed to see the situation clearly and went off to scheme against others, Leah Nelson felt a bit proud of herself. After all, she had the foresight to see that Peter Brown was destined for a limitless future.

However, Leah Nelson grew concerned when she saw Florida Collins arrive dressed to the nines, along with a few other women who also came looking glamorous.

Previously, Leah Nelson saw that Peter had no followers and naturally had some ideas, thinking that Peter needed her support. But only today did she realize her mistake. As Peter acquired two positions, more people wanted to get close to him, and she found herself not as important as she had initially thought.

To marry Peter Brown?

This had been Leah Nelson’s original thought but seeing Sadie Smith made her suddenly realize she had no advantage. Sadie Smith was evidently superior in all aspects. If there was any significant advantage Leah had, it was that she was an urbanite with higher education.

But Leah Nelson, who was no novice to society, understood in her heart that these attributes were not really advantages. Looking at Sadie Smith, a nanny who could do any kind of work and likely even outdid her in attending to a man’s needs—was education really important to a man?

At this thought, Leah Nelson felt a crushing sense of defeat.

Ah, what kind of development would it be!

Leah Nelson’s thoughts were shifting at this moment. The idea of marrying Peter Brown seemed more and more unlikely. If she didn’t marry him, would he continue to support her as he had before?

Leah Nelson had gained a deeper understanding of the dynamics of officialdom. Often it was about exchange, and without much to offer, she would sooner or later lose Peter’s trust.

After contemplating her own capabilities for a while, Leah Nelson suddenly realized she truly did not have much to offer in exchange.

Maybe there was only one thing she could offer—her body.

With this realization, Leah Nelson’s initial excitement diminished. She noticed that the gap between her and Peter Brown was widening.

Nobody noticed Leah Nelson’s thoughts; they were mostly just excited. With Peter’s promotion, they could feel they had backed the right person and trusted that Peter would promote from among this group.

"CEO Wang, what development strategy should our subsidiary adopt next?" a squad leader asked with concern.

Everyone was aware of the situation. With the real estate project concluding, their positions were due to change, and the fact that Peter was the deputy manager of the Reservoir Project spoke volumes.

Peter hadn’t really thought about this and after some consideration said, "Actually, real estate projects still have a great future. Haven’t you thought about competing for new projects?"

At these words, everyone’s eyes lit up. The thought of working on the Reservoir Project intimidated them, but a new real estate project would be a walk in the park.

River Hill looked at Peter and asked, "CEO Wang, do you have such a plan in mind?"

"Yeah, everyone here is experienced with real estate projects. With the city’s development, real estate will grow even faster. We need to put in more effort."

Everyone had been thinking about the Reservoir Project and hadn’t considered new ones, but hearing Peter’s willingness, they all began to ponder it.

Florida Collins said, "Brother Wang, there are indeed several bidding opportunities recently, with the biggest projects reaching up to two hundred million. We’ve been worried about our capabilities and haven’t thought of participating, but if possible, we should."

Peter nodded and said, "As long as there are projects, we should compete for them. Think about it, if we get a real estate project, the new project will require a lot of manpower, and everyone will have even less to worry about regarding their positions."

Peter’s words made everyone’s eyes shine even brighter. If true, being veterans, the likelihood of being promoted to key positions would significantly increase—an opportunity indeed.

"CEO Wang’s words have got us all excited," River Hill chuckled with added enthusiasm. "To be honest, we aren’t too familiar with reservoir projects, and the Group wouldn’t let us handle them. But if it’s a real estate project, then that’s our strong suit."

Seeing everyone’s excitement, Peter also happily said, "Since that’s the case, let’s all focus a bit more. I believe that as long as we put our hearts into it, there’s nothing we can’t achieve."

With the help of a few women, Sadie Smith prepared some more dishes, and they all began to feast at Peter’s place.

Looking at everyone gathered around him, Peter felt very pleased, knowing that from this moment on, he had established a solid foundation in the company.

With steady progress, Peter believed he would achieve even greater promotions.

As Peter thought about how a new position would bring a substantial influx of energy, he too became more dedicated to the idea of growth.
