Chapter 1531: Chapter 1531: Level Above Ten Stars_1
Upon hearing Peter Brown’s inquiry, Patrick Young replied with a smile, "Immortal friend, there are things you do not yet know."
"Is there any special circumstance?" Peter Brown asked.
With a slight smile, Patrick Young looked toward Peter Brown and said, "What do you think we would do after obtaining a Sacred Fate Seed?"
"Continue competing for it."
Artemis Hill just laughed and said, "Immortal friend, you are mistaken. Many people share our mindset: once we get a hold of a Sacred Fate Seed, what we need to do is leave quickly, then find a No Man’s Land to hide in, making sure others can’t sense our aura, until the Great Contest Era ends before coming out."
Peter Brown was taken aback, "There’s such a thing?"
Artemis Hill smiled and said, "Do you know? Once the Great Contest Era ends and the Saints and Void Saints are in place, the Sacred Fate Seed becomes less important to all parties. The strong won’t compete for it anymore, and unless they are provoked, those Saints and people of Void Saint ranking, would not lower themselves to attack. In this way, everyone is relatively safe. Having a strong person with a Sacred Fate Seed means a Family can endure for tens of thousands of years. Many powerful Families come from the lineages of Sacred Fate Seed holders."
"Isn’t that safe enough?"
Peter Brown still shook his head, uncertain.
"Immortal friend, you really haven’t looked at the materials, have you? You’re unaware of the situation! Once the result of the Great Contest Era is finalized, and the Saints are in place, the Seeds cease to exist. At that time, all Seeds dissolve, including those of the Saints."
There’s such a thing!
Peter Brown realized he truly should take a good look at the materials on this topic, as currently he was entirely clueless about these matters.
Patrick Young said, "When the Five Saints take their places, it will mark the disappearance of the Sacred Fate Seed. The cultivation levels of everyone are then set in stone. Those who possess a Sacred Fate Seed will undoubtedly have a cultivation far surpassing the ten-star level, which is also the reason why so many over 10-star-level experts have suddenly appeared."
Understood!
Peter Brown felt he had begun to grasp some of the complexities at play. The situation was more complicated than he had originally thought.
"If that’s the case, let’s not talk about Void Saints. Is it possible that some individuals who have not become Saints could reach a level close to that of a Void Saint?" Peter Brown thought of something startling.
Artemis Hill smiled and said, "That depends on their own aspirations. If they wish to continue participating in the Great Contest, they need to fight for Seeds again. Once they merge with a Seed, their cultivation will drop, and at most they will only maintain an over 10-star-level cultivation."
"And how is that level of cultivation classified?"
"Above the ten-star level, there are generally a few levels of distinction: 10-star, Hundred-Star, and Thousand-star. Each level has significant differences, but generally, that’s how they are categorized."
"There must be many experts coming to this Great Western Wasteland contest then?"
Patrick Young said, "According to everyone’s analysis, the battling sides predict that it will be the Sacred Fate Seed from the Central Holy Land. Thus, the other four legitimate Seed holders will not be interested. There’s no gain for them to come lightly, and People of Different Species are also not too interested in such a Seed, so it’s unlikely many of them will come. On the other hand, the Exotic Seed holders will be interested in this event, and a lot of them are expected to arrive."
Peter Brown said, "It’s not easy to judge the People of Different Species though, as their Seeds are special and usually go undetected by ordinary people."
"You’re right, their Seeds are indeed difficult to sense. However, Heavenly Dao is a mysterious thing. They all carry a special aura, one filled with Vitality. Generally, if you come across someone with such an aura, there’s a very good chance they are Exotic Seed holders."
Now, Peter Brown had clarified many details about the Seeds. Until he had this conversation, he only knew about the existence of the five Sacred Fate Seeds. Only now did he realize that the situation of the Great Contest Era was far more complex than he knew.
"The Immortal Beasts must be in a similar situation, right?"
Thinking about Immortal Beasts, Peter Brown brought up the question again.
Taking a sip of his tea, Patrick Young said, "Immortal Beasts are even more powerful, and many of them have reached cultivation levels at the Thousand-star tier."
Artemis Hill interjected, "There’s another scenario you shouldn’t overlook. Some areas harboring Exotic Seeds can generate mutants. Haven’t there recently been some incidents? Ancient Trees suddenly transformed and became incredibly strong, and mountains metamorphosed into human figures. They emerged with astonishing combat power. Do you know why?"
Without waiting for Peter Brown’s response, Artemis Hill continued, "That’s because these are locations where the sacred beings exist. Some Families of Saints have met their ends there, or they’ve placed objects connected to Cultivation Techniques of Saints in those locations. After tens of thousands of years, when the Great Contest Era unfolds, and all things are revived, the Saintly Aura will transform everything. Ancient Trees, mountains, and even rivers will receive transformation by the holy energy, granting them Great Power. These mutated beings shouldn’t be underestimated. They emerge with impressive combat prowess and many can transform into human form and even directly participate in the Saint Competition."
"They are so powerful, they must be the most formidable competitors in the Saint Competition," Peter Brown thought of some information he had received from Isabella Smith.
"Indeed, upon their emergence, they possess Thousand-star-level combat power. Ordinary people stand no chance against them, and every Great Contest Era results in rivers of blood due to their actions."
"My immortal friend, the Great Contest Era is truly perilous to the extreme. A moment’s inattention could result in death, so be very cautious."
"Thank you for informing me about all this. Had it not been for your explanation, I would have remained ignorant. Now it seems, the whole world is extremely complicated."
"Indeed, even though the contest in the Great Western Wasteland concerns the Sacred Fate Seed of the Central Holy Land, I suspect it will still result in a bloodbath," Artemis Hill expressed with a shake of his head and a heavy sigh.
After chatting a while longer, the two men had to leave because of other commitments.
Sitting there, Peter Brown sipped on his immortal tea while contemplating the possible events to come. Above the ten-star level, there were three major tiers of experts, which put some pressure on Peter Brown. He reckoned his current combat power was at the Hundred-Star tier, leaving a significant gap to the Thousand-star level. Of course, he still had some means of fighting back.
Be careful, compete as much as possible!
Peter Brown knew he had joined the fray of the Great Contest Era, and there was no reason not to fight for it.
