As Peter Brown was looking around, a young man approached and said, "Fellow Daoist, are you planning to set sail?"

Peter Brown looked at the man, puzzled.

"It’s like this: the area is completely surrounded by powerful forces, and we loose practitioners won’t be able to reach Golden Fruit Island alive unless we form groups. So, some like-minded individuals have banded together to make the journey by sea. I wonder if you would like to join us?"

It was only then that Peter Brown understood what the man meant. However, Peter had his own methods and he did not intend to join any group.

Just as Peter Brown was about to speak, the young man added, "We have ten-star masters joining us, so our strength is not weak."

Peter Brown smiled and said, "I am accustomed to going alone and will not join any group."

To think that mentioning a ten-star expert joining them did not attract this person; the young man looked at Peter Brown and said, "For an eight-star person like you to come out alive would be a strange occurrence indeed."

After saying this, the young man left.

Peter Brown surveyed his surroundings and then made his way to the area where a fee was collected.

There, a middle-aged man sitting cross-legged looked at Peter Brown and said, "The path here is under the control of the Riverwalker Gang. Everyone who wishes to enter the marine region must pay a thousand immortal coins. Do you wish to enter?"

"Sure."

Peter Brown did not want to linger, so he immediately took out a thousand immortal coins and handed them over.

The middle-aged man smiled and said, "What that youngster said is actually true. The sea region now is not your ordinary seascape. There are powerful factions everywhere, and since you’ve paid the fees, I shall inform you of some things. The sea area leading to the Island of Golden Fruits has no fewer than five layers of defense, each guarded by some powerful factions, with the intent to prevent irrelevant people from entering. Peter Brown bowed and said, "Thank you for the warning, but I still prefer to go alone."

Peter Brown knew that the island was not close by; even by sword flying, it would take several days, hence everyone preferred to use a flying vehicle that was faster than sword flying.

Having just entered, Peter didn’t want to attract too much attention, so like many others, he first used sword flying to travel some distance before summoning his flying vehicle.

It was only when Peter began sword flying that he discovered there was a large formation blocking the area. If he hadn’t paid the fee, he figured he would have already been under attack.

As Peter’s Divine Sense swept the rear, a look of unknown emotion appeared on his face; he muttered to himself, "None of them are good-natured."

He had already noticed several people tracking him.

Without much thought, Peter knew the score: in the vast sea, these powers had far too many methods to dispose of a lone practitioner like himself.

The battle was about to start already?

Peter instantly dived into the sea. Protected by energy, even at the sea’s bottom, he would not get wet.
