Chapter 1471: Chapter 1471: Heritage Tower_1
Peter Brown’s current activity was visiting a place called the Heritage Tower every day to learn about the situation there.
People in the Immortal Realm didn’t need to go to school; they could acquire their knowledge from the Heritage Tower.
This Heritage Tower existed everywhere in the Immortal Realm. It was a place built by the Immortals, and it contained many knowledge walls. Once inside, you would gain various kinds of knowledge, and you could learn anything you wanted from the Heritage Tower.
However, there was one thing you couldn’t get from here: advanced cultivation knowledge. Although there was some basic information, the more profound knowledge was controlled by major families and powers.
Despite having only basic content, it was enough for Peter Brown.
Peter Brown knew that using his Identity Card to handle procedures would definitely reveal his information, but in order to understand more about the Immortal Realm, he no longer cared so much.
After obtaining his access pass, Peter Brown entered the Heritage Tower.
There were no guards, but Peter Brown understood that if he had any destructive thoughts, the Great Power that created the Heritage Tower through powerful Immortal methods would deal with him. Ordinary people probably couldn’t damage it anyway.
Peter was curious about how the Immortals had managed to create something like this.
The Heritage Tower was divided into many levels, and when Peter Brown entered the First Level, he saw that there were too many people there.
He walked towards the area that explained the usage and quickly came to understand the situation with the inheritance.
Inheritance wasn’t unlimited; the Divine Sense Energy of the human body determined how much knowledge one could inherit. The more powerful one’s Divine Sense, the more heritage knowledge they could receive.
On the First Level, there was even a place for those who wanted to leave behind their knowledge for others.
Peter saw many people pressing their hands against a smooth wall, transferring their knowledge into the light wall.
"Fellow Immortal, why are they willing to leave their knowledge?"
Peter still stopped a middle-aged man to ask.
The middle-aged man glanced at Peter and said, "If you can leave some of your knowledge behind, you can exchange it for a set of Cultivation Techniques or some secret methods for cultivation. Tell me, why wouldn’t people want to do that?"
Then it dawned on Peter, and he said with a smile, "Is their knowledge verified?"
"Naturally, the Heritage Tower has the ability to verify. If someone’s knowledge is redundant, it naturally can’t be accepted. With too many people contributing knowledge, it has become very difficult to extract anything useful.
So that’s how it is.
Peter thanked the man and walked on; indeed, though there were many contributing their knowledge, they kept pressing their hands on the smooth wall without any significant revelations.
Peter noticed the human aspect here as well—some areas were secretive, meant for those who did not want others to see their knowledge contributions. In those places, if anyone received some sort of inheritance, no one else would know.
After watching for a while, Peter headed towards the place where knowledge inheritance was offered. He had a clear purpose for coming here; the basic knowledge that everybody else took for granted was exactly what he sought.
Starting from the very first wall, Peter sat cross-legged in front of it. After his Divine Sense penetrated the wall, a vast amount of knowledge rushed towards him.
Days went by, and Peter had now reached the Third Level.
It was only after reaching this point that Peter truly appreciated the immense breadth and depth of knowledge in the Immortal Realm.
There was also plenty of technological knowledge, but knowledge could be learned without being used. As soon as it was discovered that one used it, they would be sanctioned by the state.
Of course, Peter had no intention of opposing the state, and technological knowledge was not particularly useful to him either.
After absorbing a massive amount of knowledge and feeling hunger, he left the Tower and ordered some food in a small restaurant outside.
Having killed several people, Peter now had no shortage of money and ordered dishes filled with energy from the Immortal Realm.
While he ate, he digested the vast content he had acquired.
Although Peter’s Divine Sense Energy was very powerful, after the Third Level, he started to feel that his Divine Sense was not sufficient.
No wonder the Immortal Realm’s requirement for an Immortal was to focus on learning in one area, striving to reach the pinnacle.
The restaurant was busy with people who discussed the state of the Immortal Realm while they ate.
"Did you hear? Brady Smith’s slave suddenly received a seed."
"Who hasn’t heard? That servant, after getting the seed and not knowing how he cultivated, his cultivation level rapidly increased. Then he went to confront Brady Smith, demanding to be released from the Smith Family. Of course, Brady refused, and a fierce battle ensued. Brady was killed by him, and he even took Brady’s wife and daughter. Now he’s on the run, with many people chasing after him."
"This kid has such good fortune. Had Brady’s son not escaped and told us about it, who would have known that Sacred Fate Seed had descended upon our city?"
"You’re out of the loop. It wasn’t just one Sacred Fate Seed. A beautiful woman on the outskirts of the city also received one, but before she grew strong, she was discovered, killed, and violated—her seed taken away."
"It seems you really need fate to obtain a Sacred Fate Seed. Those without fate may temporarily have it, but after acquiring it, they merely found a quicker way to death."
"Too many cultivators are heading towards our city now. With two people having received seeds, who can guarantee there aren’t more?"
Hearing their discussion, Peter knew he couldn’t stay here any longer.
What worried Peter most was whether anyone who had received a Sacred Fate Seed had come here. If that was the case, the problem was quite serious.
From recent observations on the Sacred Fate Seed, he had learned that if a person couldn’t merge with the second seed within a year, the Sacred Fate Seed inside the Union Cup would depart.
Regardless, he was in need of a battle now!
With this information, Peter realized his previous plan of hiding and slowly growing stronger was no longer viable.
Today he would study another layer of knowledge, then try to leave some of his own insights to see if he could reap some benefits.
Peter made his decision; he needed to leave this place as soon as possible. After all, Heritage Towers existed everywhere.
