After the meeting ended and I returned to the office, I saw that everyone’s gaze towards me carried a sense of separation, and no one even came to talk to me, naturally isolating me there.

I didn’t take this matter too seriously, as this is just how officialdom is, something I understand all too well.

Alexis White just went back to the village like that, without saying a word to me!

Alexis White wasn’t well-educated; he only became village chief because he was good at fighting and had the support of his brothers from the Hawkins Family, giving him power in the village. During elections, no one dared not to vote for him. Now, being looked down upon by Peter, he burst into rage, shouting loudly, "Son of a bitch, you dare to pull this crap in my village when Town Chief wants to clean you up, Peter, just you wait until we’re in my territory, see if I don’t take care of you."

Peter simply stopped and said, "Alexis White, others might not know the situation in your village, but I understand it very clearly. Never mind how Seth Nelson treats me, now that I’m in Fruitful Village, if you dare not listen to me, I’ll risk losing my job just to sort out you brothers first, see if I don’t!"

When it came to being fierce, Peter was far more ruthless than his opponent, naturally exuding a powerful aura.

Alexis White furiously asked, "What gives you the right?"

In the midst of speaking, he threw a punch at Peter.

"Bring it on!"

Peter also threw a punch straight back at Alexis White.

Peter, unyielding, walked over and started throwing punches at Alexis White again.

With each flesh-thudding punch, Peter landed them so hard that Alexis White kept on shrieking in pain.

After the beating, Peter stood there and said to Alexis White, "Come on if you dare."

Alexis White had never experienced anything like this and was seething with rage, getting up and charging at Peter again.

However, no matter how hard Alexis White charged, every time he was sent flying by the still-backpack-laden Peter.

After several attempts, Alexis White simply couldn’t get up from the ground and looked at Peter with deep fear in his eyes.
