Chapter 1397: Chapter 1397 Immortal World_1

Only Peter Brown, August Charlton, and four individuals who had opened the world of the Immortals remained in the room.

"Let’s introduce ourselves."

Peter Brown looked at the four men and said.

"All four of us have the surname Woodson and are brothers. We address each other by our seniority: starting with me, I’m Marion Woodson, and next is George, then Oscar, and Finn," said the eldest old man, pointing at each in turn as he introduced them.

"So, you’re the Woodson brothers. I know you’ve opened the world of the Immortals, and I’m very curious about what sort of place it really is," Peter Brown said upon hearing his query.

Marion Woodson sighed and said, "Everyone thinks cultivating immortality is great, but in fact, cultivation isn’t as simple as people imagine. Every step is fraught with danger. The opening of the world of the Immortals truly integrates one into a wilderness land."

Wilderness land?

Peter Brown and August Charlton exchanged glances, unsure of what to say.

August Charlton said, puzzled, "Isn’t the opening of the world of the Immortals just about stepping into a new realm for cultivation? Isn’t that place supposed to be full of Immortal power, with beautiful fairylands and where everyone enjoys a Land of Longevity?"

Oscar Woodson said with a bitter knowledge, "If it were really like that, why wouldn’t we enter? What would be the point of staying here?"

"Indeed, we are all very curious. Logically, you should have entered by now, so why haven’t you?"

With a wry smile, Finn Woodson said, "Actually, we are about to enter. Once the world of the Immortals has opened, one can only stay in the Mortal Realm for a maximum of a thousand years. If one doesn’t enter within a thousand years, the world of the Immortals will naturally close, and a person’s Life Extension will soon run out. Not entering is a dead end."

Peter Brown’s curiosity grew, and he asked, "You mentioned a wilderness place; what exactly is it?"

Marion Woodson said, "There’s some truth to what Xavier mentioned. The place does abound with Immortal power, but precisely because of that, various Demon Beasts and Spirit Beasts roam freely. The Human Species actually have a very hard time there. Not to mention others, the first time I entered, I appeared right next to a Demon Beast, and it immediately pounced on me. After fighting with it for a while, I realized I was no match for it and had no choice but to retreat."

George Woodson said, "I encountered similar situations, only I went a bit further. As I went along, I faced only powerful Demon Beasts, each one possessing the energy to destroy Heaven and Earth."

Oscar Woodson said, "Actually, I feel that place is another test for us, but it’s just too difficult to get ahead there."

"Haven’t you encountered any other humans?" asked Peter Brown.

Shaking their heads, the Woodson brothers replied, "We exited in what seemed to be a forest area. To meet other humans, one would probably have to get through that forest. But given our strength, even the thought of getting through the forest is daunting. Once, the four of us brothers tried it together and nearly lost our lives, so we had to retreat once again."

Originally wanting to understand more about the situation after connecting to the world of the Immortals from them, it turned out they had no clue.

"What exactly is the function of the world of the Immortals?" Peter Brown asked.

Marion Woodson said, "The world of the Immortals is actually a Portal, connecting us to that space."

Is that all?

Peter Brown felt somewhat disappointed. He had put in so much effort into opening his world of the Immortals, and yet was it just that simple?

August Charlton also curiously asked, "If it’s that simple a place, why is the task involved in its completion so complex?"

Marion Woodson said, "I have a feeling that even if we entered that cultivating world, we might not truly achieve immortality."

August Charlton nodded slightly and said, "Mortals have a very simplistic view of Immortals, believing those who live for thousands of years are immortals. But from what I see, achieving immortality isn’t that easy."

Seeing the change in Peter Brown’s expressions, Peter himself also started to feel confused about the matter of achieving immortality.

Could it be truly said that the path to immortality is too uncertain?

However, Peter’s eyes soon showed resolute determination. Since he had embarked on this path, there was no reason not to forge ahead boldly.

"What do you think is the situation with the world of the Immortals?" he asked.

This time Marion Woodson said, "Actually, I have a feeling that besides being a brave path, the world of the Immortals is also a level for cultivators."

"A cultivator’s level?"

Now Peter Brown was even more curious.

"Exactly. After some serious thinking, we believe it’s just a level. Just like guiding Qi into the body or Immortal Induction, the opening of the world of the Immortals means you have an entrance ticket to immortality, entering into that level," explained George Woodson.

Peter Brown was shocked by these words. If it’s just a level, then what kind of levels lie above?

Suddenly, Peter Brown recalled the division of cultivator realms he had learned in the Phantom Realm.

Could it be a division of realms?

"The opening of the world of the Immortals is like entering the first level," he thought.

After musing to himself, August Charlton sighed, "If it’s really like this, the levels we need to upgrade are too many. When can we ever hope to achieve immortality?"

Finn Woodson said, "I’ve discovered something else. It felt like there weren’t many people in the place we entered; perhaps most people there also have their own world of the Immortals."

Knowing he hadn’t seen any other people inside, they didn’t take his guess seriously.

However, from what they said, it seems that one isn’t truly confined to the inside; considering this, Peter Brown asked, "Are you saying that the world of the Immortals is actually a path that we can use to return to this Star Planet from anywhere?"

After thinking for a moment, Marion Woodson’s eyes brightened as he said, "That might be possible. I remember when I entered and went forward, I didn’t return from a fixed place. It seems when I went too far, the world of the Immortals didn’t have enough energy, and the portal seemed to stop working."

Hearing this, Peter Brown understood that the world of the Immortals is indeed a path, but the power of this path depends on each person’s construction of it. Their worlds of the Immortals were probably not too large, but his own was different. Having integrated so many materials and energy, the path was no longer drawing more, showing that his foundation might be the most solidly built, offering greater potential for development.

Or to put it another way, the foundation he laid was the most solid, which means more room for growth.
