Chapter 1326: Chapter 1326: Cure on Hand_1
There were still quite a few practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine in the hospital, and upon hearing that there would be an examination for Peter Brown, they each turned up, with several old doctors looking at Peter with scrutinizing eyes. In their minds, this young man couldn’t possibly possess very advanced medical skills—it must just be a stroke of luck.
Hospital Director Green took this matter very seriously and said to Peter, "Whatever instruments or equipment you need, just say the word, and I’ll have them prepared for you."
Peter smiled and replied, "Some silver needles will do. Apart from that, I just need the cooperation of the folks in the pharmacy."
"Don’t you need instruments like a stethoscope?" a young doctor asked.
"What does traditional Chinese medicine emphasize? Observation, listening, questioning, and pulse-taking. Why bother with those useless things?" Peter had opinions about many practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine who always resorted to a host of instruments for assistance, given the substantial differences between traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine.
"Give your full cooperation, experts from the provincial department are coming. This is a joint assessment," instructed Hospital Director Green to everyone.
After waiting a while, as several old experts arrived, the examination for Peter began.
Guided by the doctors, Peter made his way to the Critical Care Ward.
"These are all critical patients, nearly all of them are beyond hope."
The doctor made this statement indifferently, as death was a common sight here.
Upon entering, everyone saw family members anxiously gathered, as if waiting for their loved ones’ final moments to arrive.
"Doctor Brown, where do you want to treat?" a doctor asked.
After looking around the room, Peter said, "There’s no need for trouble, treating them right here is fine."
Everyone was taken aback and thought to themselves, could this kid really possess some superior skills?
Inside the room, there were four sickbeds with four patients lying there, and those who understood the equipment knew that the situation was near its last throes.
Turning to the nurse, Peter said, "Take off their clothes, I’ll treat them right now."
The head nurse looked at Hospital Director Green, who reluctantly said, "Do as Peter says."
After giving several people a look, Peter instructed the doctor from the Traditional Medicine Pharmacy, "I’ll tell you the prescriptions, and you go boil the medicine immediately."
While speaking, he began to list them rapidly.
With a sign from the Hospital Director, the doctor cooperated and quickly took notes.
After looking again, Peter said, "That will do, go arrange it now. I’ll need it very soon."
Once the doctor had left, Peter approached the bedside of an old man, pulled back the cover, and quickly inserted the silver needles.
This time, Peter’s needling was so swift that everyone had not yet reacted when he was already done.
After these actions, Peter removed all the oxygen-supplying equipment and such.
What followed was the needling of each patient in turn.
The sight had everyone’s eyelids twitching, wondering if by removing the oxygen equipment and disregarding the IVs, the patients would die immediately.
Yet, surprisingly, after these things were removed, the condition of the patients did not deteriorate. Upon checking the readouts on the equipment, everyone was even more astounded to see that the indicators were moving in a favorable direction.
The experts from the provincial department, who originally had impassive expressions, began to show change.
One of the old experts even rushed to the bedside of the first patient who had been needled, took his pulse, and then looked at Peter in shock.
Peter didn’t concern himself with their astonished expressions and turned to Hospital Director Green, "Now it’s time for the medication."
Everyone remained silent, waiting there, and after a while, the Traditional Medicine Pharmacy staff brought the medicine.
After examining it, Peter nodded slightly and said, "This one is for the second patient in the bed. Let him take it."
The pharmacy doctor was extremely impressed at this moment. He had intentionally shuffled the order to see if Peter could tell, and to his surprise, Peter even accurately identified the boiled medicine.
At this point, Hospital Director Green cleared his throat.
The doctor could only smile wryly, thinking that he couldn’t test him anymore.
Peter gestured for the nurse to give the medicine to the patient.
Then the medicines for the other three patients also arrived.
As each one took their medicine, everyone noticed further improvement in the conditions displayed on the monitors.
Afterward, Peter went over to the needles and twisted them for a while before pulling them out one by one.
Then after pulling out the silver needles, Peter pressed a few points on the patient’s body and said, "That’s it."
After finishing treatment for this person, Peter moved on to treat the other three patients.
Without exception, all four patients experienced dramatic changes, and their previously deathly pallor was swiftly altering.
The old experts could no longer keep their composure and incessantly voiced their doubts.
Seeing their earnestness and good attitude, Peter took the time to give them each some guidance.
"So that’s how it is!"
"I never thought it could be treated like this!"
"Needling with silver needles can also be done like this!"
The experts were now constantly expressing their amazement.
After some time, when Peter saw that the patients had fully responded to the medicine, he turned to Hospital Director Green, "It’s time to check the patients’ current physical conditions. Their problems should all be resolved by now. They can get out of bed tomorrow and be discharged the day after."
What?
All the doctors and family members couldn’t remain calm. How could these nearly dead patients come back to life just because he treated them?
"Quick, take them for examination!"
Hospital Director Green also lost his cool. He had never seen such an awesome doctor. This was truly the capabilities of healing as soon as one laid hands on.
Everyone gathered in an office to await the results.
Not long after, a few doctors came bursting in, excitedly shouting as they entered the door, "Cured, they’re cured!"
Hospital Director Green and the old experts looked over as he said, "What’s the situation? Tell me, quickly."
"All four are at the late stage of cancer, with conditions already spread. To our astonishment, after Doctor Brown’s treatment, the cancer cells have disappeared, and the patients are recovering."
Ah!
Everyone turned to look at Peter Brown, truly not expecting such a result.
Peter himself appeared calm. If he could practice Alchemy at the moment, he would make an Elixir to cure any disease.
It seems that he must find a way to resume his Cultivation as soon as possible.
"Good!"
Hospital Director Green laughed heartily and turned to the group of Old Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors from the expert panel, "What do you think about Peter’s case?"
The old experts managed a wry smile, "We’re no match for Doctor Brown. If he’s not qualified to treat patients, we’re even less so."
