Chapter 1280: Chapter 1280: Escape_1
"Greetings, Sect Master!"
The Sect’s formation opened wide, and Hannah Walker led the people of the Hua-Chinese Ancestral Sect to welcome them.
Standing there, Peter Brown looked at the people who came to greet him and said, "The Star Clan is clearly powerful, and right now I don’t have the confidence to withstand their attack. You all should disperse for now, and I too will be leaving for a while."
The words of Peter Brown were something everyone had already been considering. As Peter Brown said, the Star Clan was not an ordinary sect. Faced with such a powerful sect, it was true that Peter Brown might not win.
"Although you will disperse, after all, you are members of the Hua-Chinese Ancestral Sect, one by one come forward and accept control," he added.
Peter Brown wouldn’t really disband everyone; control was still necessary.
Although many were reluctant, when they thought about Peter Brown’s powerful subordinates, they could only smile bitterly in response.
Peter Brown spoke to Hannah Walker: "You take control of the Elder level members, and have the elders control those beneath them, starting now."
Hannah Walker now followed Peter Brown’s orders completely. When she looked at the elder-level members of the Hua-Chinese Ancestral Sect, those at the Heavenly Sovereign Layer could only show complex emotions on their faces as they came forward to accept her control.
Of course, once the elders were under control, they became enthusiastic about controlling those below them, methodically exerting control over the others.
Of course, some people wanted to rebel.
Faced with these rebels, the elders used very direct methods—killing them one by one.
Peter Brown didn’t care at all about the deaths of a few people; if killings were what it took, so be it. He stood there and observed the crowd.
Two hours later, the entire sect was under control.
Looking towards Hannah Walker, Peter Brown said, "You are aware of the current situation. As for how to respond, whether to scatter or what method to use to survive, it’s up to you to decide."
An elder said, "Sect Master, in fact, we can sever ties with you on the surface to make others believe we have no connection with you."
Peter Brown smiled slightly and replied, "As you wish."
Having said that, Peter Brown vanished in a flash, already gone.
Of course, after leaving, Peter also contacted Leonardo Smith, informing him of his intentions to hide and wait for an opportunity, and left the matter of their pretended separation to Leonardo Smith’s discretion.
After flying for a day with the teleportation artifact, Peter Brown didn’t even know where he had ended up.
Looking ahead at an expanse dotted with star planets, Peter Brown even spotted a planet brimming with Immortal power.
Adjusting his appearance, Peter Brown morphed into an ordinary young man and entered the incredibly vast star planet.
Once he entered the star, Peter Brown looked around the planet. The sight made him curious. This place didn’t resemble a star from the Immortal Cultivation Realm but rather a planet that seemed to be developed in another direction entirely.
Seeing a restaurant, Peter Brown walked over and was immediately greeted by someone who resembled a fox.
"Are you a visitor from the Human Clan’s lands?" the fox asked with a smile, taking on a human-like appearance that felt somewhat strange.
"What place is this?" Peter Brown felt as though he might have come to the wrong place.
"This is the land of the Demon Clan. Humans from your clan do enter from time to time. Rest assured, we here do not act against your Human Clan."
The fox maintained a smiling expression.
Peter Brown’s eyes widened as he looked around, only then realizing he must have made a mistake with his teleportation artifact.
"Is there a place to stay?"
"Of course, there is."
"Then good, arrange a lodging for me, and have the food delivered to my room."
Soon, after spending ten Immortal Stones, Peter Brown settled into a rather nice room.
Once inside the room, Peter Brown checked the situation, set up a formation, and finally sat down cross-legged.
After calming his emotions, Peter Brown felt bewildered.
Originally, Peter Brown had intended to observe the Star Clan’s headquarters to see if there was an opportunity to defeat the sect. However, his refining flying device, the teleportation artifact, had obviously broken through a space domain barrier due to some reason, landing him in the land of the Demon Clan instead.
As far as Peter Brown knew, although there were communications and interactions between the Human and Demon Clans, both sides were wary of each other. Furthermore, the path of passage between them was fortified with a strong portal sealed by a formation. Without approval from both sides, it was impossible to enter the other’s territory.
Yet, how had he managed to cross into here?
When Peter took out the teleportation artifact and began investigating with his Divine Sense, it took him a while before he identified the issue. Clearly, there was a problem with energy transmission during the artifact’s flight, which altered the space path, leading him here.
After meticulously studying the problem, Peter gained some understanding of this accidental change. If it happened by mistake this time, couldn’t he use some methods to deliberately alter this mode of travel?
The more Peter thought about it, the more feasible it seemed.
Thinking so, Peter took out the Ruyi Furnace and started Refining a new flying vehicle—this time, he was refining an Immortal Artifact he had modified himself.
Two hours later, Peter held a modified teleportation artifact in his hands, one that was refined using the principle of energy conversion.
Looking at the artifact, Peter was uncertain whether it could achieve his idea.
However, today’s event had given Peter a new direction to consider; he realized that if it really worked, entering the Demon Realm would become much easier.
After storing the artifact away, Peter’s thoughts returned to the matter of the Demon Realm, a place he had never visited. After all, demons were different from humans, and Peter didn’t know if they truly harbored no hostility towards humans. In Peter’s view, it was impossible for the Demon Clan not to be hostile to the Human Clan; perhaps the place he arrived at was just an exception, and other places might not be so welcoming.
After much thought, Peter knew that he needed to quickly understand the situation here.
When he opened the door, a fox woman was already waiting outside, with food being kept outside. Without Peter’s permission, she dared not enter.
