Chapter 1206: Chapter 1206 Stormneedle_1
Peter Brown didn’t know about the Points Stele, and he and Raina Carter were enjoying their little peaceful life together, walking outside while occasionally stopping to have some wild fun.
By now, Raina Carter was utterly conquered by Peter Brown, both in body and soul. Finding herself falling for his identity, in the presence of the powerful Peter Brown, Raina Carter felt an extreme sense of security. She believed that there would be no danger as long as she followed him.
Inside the Landscape Array, after defeating Raina Carter once again and seeing her lying down, Peter lied there as well, contemplating their next moves after leaving.
This time, Peter knew it would be hard not to become famous. After all, they had encountered several groups of people along the way, and there was no way but to kill some of them, accumulating so many points. But the question remained: how to explain all this after going out?
This was something that troubled Peter, as he seemed to be at the Immortal Realm level when he arrived, but now he had killed those at the Golden Immortal Peak. He had killed teams of people, one after another. Without a good explanation, everyone would suspect he had obtained some kind of Treasure, and his life would be at risk.
As he thought, he began studying Alchemy. It was then that Peter suddenly discovered the refining method for an Immortal Artifact.
Stormneedle!
This was an Immortal Artifact designed specifically for group fights.
Upon seeing this Immortal Artifact, Peter knew how to deal with those inquisitive people.
"I need to refine artifacts!"
After saying this to Raina Carter, Peter flashed into the Hidden Formation.
Looking at Peter entering another array, Raina didn’t show much change in expression. By now, she did not dare to meddle in his affairs, knowing his artifact refining this time might be a special process.
Once inside the array, Peter took out the Ruyi Furnace, a matter he didn’t want Raina to know too much about.
Lately, Peter had collected too many materials, even too much for the Ruyi Furnace to swallow at once.
After initiating the furnace, Peter started refining diligently according to the method for the Stormneedle he had found.
Already being a Master Refiner, Peter previously didn’t understand the way of refining in the Immortal Realm. Now, armed with the knowledge of Alchemy, he could say he understood it all, having complete control over the entire refining process—same as it had been in the Phantom Realm.
This was a low-grade Immortal Artifact, but it was a deadly weapon for anyone below the Daluo Golden Immortal level.
The Stormneedle Immortal Artifact Peter discovered didn’t just shoot a single needle, but was capable of continuously launching needle-like hidden weapons. Once activated, this Immortal Artifact could briefly become invisible, then it would suddenly shoot out in all directions. Even Golden Immortals could be caught off guard and killed with a single strike.
A massive quantity of materials was consumed, and after a day, a fist-sized Immortal Artifact appeared in Peter’s hand.
"Grow!"
With Peter’s injection of Immortal Power, the Immortal Artifact grew larger, standing more than a person’s height, and most importantly, it had thousands of holes, able to shoot out thousands of needle-like hidden weapons at once.
After placing tens of thousands of needles inside it, Peter finally breathed a sigh of relief. He intended to claim that he had unintentionally obtained an Immortal Artifact like this from an immortal tomb.
After the refining was complete, Peter stored the Ruyi Furnace and dispelled the Hidden Formation before stepping out.
"Master, did you succeed?" Raina tried to guess what kind of Immortal Artifact Peter had created.
"Let’s go and test the power of this Immortal Artifact."
After dismantling the Landscape Array, the two continued their journey.
Half a day later, Peter felt a jolt in his Divine Sense and saw a group of about forty people blocking their essential path up ahead.
"Master!"
Raina Carter called out softly.
Peter Brown said, "We’re close to the exit, right?"
"Yes, this place must be a passage we have to go through, the Jade Scroll Map has it marked. Once we get past here, we would have left Monster Beast Mountain. They must be the last team trying to block our way."
Looking at these people, Peter saw that they were all from Hong Water Gate, with many among them in the Golden Immortal Period. The rest were from the Celestial Tier, and there were also Body Refiners. This team was very well-equipped, and it seemed their purpose in standing here was to prevent anyone from passing through.
When Peter and his companion appeared, those people also noticed them, and Divine Senses swept over the two of them.
"Just two people!"
Seeing that only two had come, the people of Hong Water Gate laughed. They had already killed quite a few people in similar situations.
"Master, they are a powerful force. Shall we wait a while and see if others arrive before we attack together?"
"No need. You stay here and watch. I’ll take care of them."
With the Stormneedle in hand, Peter was indeed eager to test the power of this Immortal Artifact. He strode forward towards them.
Raina now had a blind confidence in Peter. Seeing him walk over, she simply waited and watched without anxiety.
The people of Hong Water Gate also noticed Peter’s approach, and they all curiously watched him.
But as Peter got close to them, he flashed a smile and hurled something from his hand in their direction.
What was it?
Everyone saw an object, which didn’t seem to have much power, sailing towards them, causing some confusion.
Of course, some of them instinctively raised their defenses.
Suddenly, the small item swelled as it met the wind, transforming into a man-high Immortal Artifact. On closer inspection, they saw thousands of holes on the artifact.
"Not good!"
A skilled refiner shouted out loud.
But now, they had no way of avoiding it. The Immortal Artifact had begun to fire at them from the air; with each burst, hundreds of needles shot towards them.
The Immortal Artifact spun as it fired.
As they looked at the needles, even though they could resist them, they found they couldn’t block them. The needles had the ability to break through barriers, and even though they had Immortal Artifacts to protect their bodies, under the assault of the needle-shaped hidden weapons, those needles would penetrate into their flesh.
Screams of pain filled the air continuously as a group of people fell in an instant.
A few Golden Immortals thought they could withstand the attack, but they desperately realized that their defenses couldn’t block the needles’ assault.
What was despairing wasn’t that the Immortal Artifact fired just once and stopped, but that it kept spinning and firing, releasing a relentless stream of needles.
Even more shocking to everyone was that the Immortal Artifact could retract the needles after they were fired and then keep shooting without pause.
