Chapter 1201: Chapter 1201: Competing for Points_1

After acquiring the points from these individuals, the Points Cards of Peter Brown and Raina Carter now glowed purple, rising up to the heavens.

Under normal circumstances, once points reached ten thousand, the Points Card would emit a purple glow. They two had killed so many people, and those people had killed even more, so all the points converged on their Points Cards, naturally leading to a change.

Seeing the purple light soaring into the sky, Peter Brown shook his head. He wanted to keep a low profile, but inadvertently, he still ended up attracting attention.

Once the Points Card turned purple, his name would appear on a huge ranking stele at the rear, making it impossible to hide by then.

As if sensing Peter’s thoughts, Raina Carter said, "Master, since it’s like this, there’s no need to be low-key. In the Immortal Sect, it’s still the strong who are revered."

"Indeed, let’s go!"

Peter Brown didn’t dwell on the matter further. Since things had turned out this way, there was no point in overthinking it.

While they were walking, they saw two groups facing off against each other.

At first glance, those blocking the way wore the uniform of Hong Water Gate, while those being blocked were clad in Ghost Expelling Sect attire. The two groups were hurling insults at each other, on the verge of battle.

When they saw Peter and Raina approaching, both sides glanced at their soaring purple glow, and even the Ghost Expelling Sect’s people revealed a look of greed in their eyes.

Seeing their expressions, Peter knew both sides were interested in seizing their points.

"Master, be cautious. The leader of their group, I know him; he’s a disciple of Elder Cook, named Louis Martin. He’s a domineering man, and he wants to rob us of our points," Raina advised.

Peter then looked towards the head of the Ghost Expelling Sect’s young man. At a glance, he saw that the man had the cultivation of a Late Period Golden Immortal, and not only that, he was also a Body Refiner, appearing exceedingly formidable.

After assessing the situation, Peter told Raina, "Let’s step back and let them fight it out first."

Just as they were about to retreat, Louis Martin spoke up, directing his words at Raina, "Isn’t this Sister Raina? Haha, with that waste of a man accompanying you!"

Raina glanced at Peter.

"Don’t let a single one escape, kill them!"

The people of Hong Water Gate then roared, charging towards Louis Martin.

Instantly, both sides engaged in a fierce slaughter.

"Shall we rush over?" Raina whispered to him.

"No need."

Peter also saw that both parties wanted their points. As long as they didn’t leave, neither would likely do anything to them. If they were to leave, both would probably attack.

Although he did not fear these people, Peter had no intention of leaving and decided to simply sit on a large stone.

Seeing Peter’s actions, Raina understood in her heart that he was planning to kill all these people. She leaned next to Peter and sat down.

Indeed, initially worried about them leaving, now that they saw the two had not fled but instead sat down, the battle intensified even further.

His gaze fixed on the battlefield, Peter found that observing this slaughter gave him a sense of superiority, as if he was watching from a whole new elevation, regarding the fighters as if they were mere infants.

His perspective had completely changed!

After watching for a while, Peter simply closed his eyes and continued deducing his cultivation arts.

Taking an entirely different path, Peter wasn’t sure if the way he was going was the right one, but he found that he had always followed a different system from the usual cultivation arts.

"How many people from the Immortal Realm have ascended?" Peter suddenly turned to Raina and asked.

Hearing such a question from Peter, Raina was stunned for a moment. She always found it difficult to keep up with Peter’s thoughts, truly unsure what he was pondering.

Of course, she would respond to Peter’s question. After thinking hard for a moment, she said with a bitter smile, "I really don’t know."

"You don’t know?"

"Yes, I really don’t know. It’s said that our Sect also has masters above Profound Immortals, but those are just legends. I’ve never seen such a master in the Sect from my childhood to adulthood. Claiming that there are so many masters is nothing more than a way to deter enemies. In fact, everyone is doing it, saying they have masters, but after paying close attention for a while, I haven’t noticed any such masters. However, the Beast Sect surely has more formidable masters than our Sect."

"So you mean, not many have actually succeeded in achieving immortality?" Peter asked, somewhat surprised.

After some contemplation, Raina shook her head again, "I really don’t know about that. Since I was born, I’ve never heard of anyone ascending to immortality."

Peter then thought of the various Phantom Realms; many settings within them were so bizarre. Among those strange settings came two points of interest: the severance of the path to immortality and the impact on the Immortal Sects. Reflecting on these matters, Peter had a feeling that someone might be conducting some sort of deduction, hoping to find the road to immortality through such simulation.

The situation seemed to be getting complicated!

The more he understood about the Immortal Realm, the clearer Peter saw that he was uncovering secrets.

However, he also knew that he was far from qualified to be involved in such matters.

Since this was the case, altering his cultivation technique had become a normal occurrence—it was perhaps one of the variables.

"Master, they’re almost done fighting," Raina Carter informed, unaware that Peter was contemplating such complex issues, her eyes fixed on the battlefield.

When Peter opened his eyes and looked over, indeed both sides were nearing the end of their clash, with the Ghost Expelling Sect having the upper hand and pressing their opponents hard.

"The Ghost Expelling Sect is not weak either," Peter remarked when he saw that the Ghost Expelling Sect ultimately claimed the victory.

"Master, even though we are from the same Sect, we should still be cautious," Raina warned, knowing Louis Martin’s personality all too well.

Peter chuckled and said, "I hope they won’t provoke us.

As for these people, Peter certainly didn’t harbor any sense of camaraderie, resolved to utterly annihilate them should they dare to strike.
