Chapter 1178: Chapter 1178: Sect Leader’s Ring_1
Sitting cross-legged in the room, Peter Brown gave orders that he should not be disturbed for any minor matters before he began his closed-door cultivation.
This time, Peter aimed to properly enhance his cultivation level.
One hundred fifty thousand disciples below the Golden Immortal rank of the Sect were entering, and there were also many non-Sect people, as well as a multitude of Demon Beasts. Just thinking about it gave Peter headaches. Facing such an environment, with only the cultivation of an Immortal-Level Individual, could there be any chance of surviving?
Shaking his head, Peter didn’t believe that with his level of cultivation, he could come out alive after a year.
Now, he could only look inside the Sect Leader’s Ring!
Peter was somewhat expecting miracles from the Sect Leader’s Ring.
Since obtaining the ring, so many days had passed, and having been placed in the Ruyi Furnace, it should have erased the Sect Leader’s mark left on it.
The cultivation chamber was protected by important formations, including an Isolation Formation, so Peter wasn’t really worried about someone using Divine Sense to probe inside.
However, this was still an important location for the Sect, and Peter didn’t dare to actually take out the ring, not knowing if there were any Sect’s high-level cultivators spying on him here.
With that in mind, Peter sunk his Divine Sense into the center of the Dan Sea.
Looking towards the Ruyi Furnace standing in the center of the Dan Sea, Peter was curious—after absorbing energy for such a long time, the furnace showed no signs of being usable by him. What exactly was going on?
After carefully observing the furnace for a while, Peter made a discovery—the furnace now appeared much more real and was no longer as ethereal as before.
Could it be that the furnace was absorbing energy to become a physical entity?
Peter decided to set aside these thoughts for now and took the Sect Leader’s Ring out from the furnace.
He didn’t bring it outside of the Dan Sea; after all, Peter’s Dan Sea was vast enough to open the ring within this space.
The Divine Sense from the outside world could only see Peter sitting in cultivation, not noticing that he was examining the ring within his Dan Sea.
Indeed, the imprint had disappeared!
After checking the mark on the ring, a smile surfaced on Peter’s face—as long as the imprint was gone, opening the ring had become a possibility.
With excitement, Peter used his Divine Sense to imprint his own mark on the ring, then his Divine Sense entered the space within the ring.
As his Divine Sense entered, Peter discovered that this space was indeed huge, capable of containing an entire mountain, utterly incomparable to a regular storage bag.
Without caring to examine the size of the space, Peter immediately cast his Divine Sense over the items placed inside.
Upon seeing the items piled up here, Peter couldn’t help but exclaim that he had struck it rich.
The Sect Leader’s ring was no ordinary ring, and as expected, a large number of items were stored inside.
The first thing he saw was the countless Immortal Stones heaped up there, and Peter was shocked at the sheer amount of Immortal Stones—never had he thought the Sect Leader would have stored so many inside.
But Peter was not interested in these for the time being. What he desired most were items that could enhance his abilities.
The items in the ring were sorted into different categories, not in disarray, and Peter went straight to the area where the Elixirs were kept.
However, after looking around for a while, Peter Brown was left speechless. There were indeed many types of elixirs available, but these elixirs were all meant for high-level cultivators. Being just at the Immortal rank, such elixirs were of no use to him.
His gaze then shifted to the place where jade slips were kept.
What Peter saw were jade slips containing not only Cultivation Techniques but also various kinds of knowledge.
The Cultivation Technique jade slips were all from Sect teachings currently being imparted. Peter had looked at them for a while but didn’t dare to cultivate any. If he used any of these techniques now, others would immediately know he had obtained the ring, leading to endless troubles!
Of course, Peter could still make use of these Cultivation Techniques. At critical moments, some techniques could be useful, and he planned to gradually integrate the Dark Mist Art into his Immortal Power Transformation Technique.
Putting down the Cultivation Techniques, Peter looked at the elixir formulas and found quite a few. However, his own alchemy skills seemed out of sync with the methods of the Immortal Realm, requiring further study on his part.
He had thought that he would be able to acquire some items to enhance his cultivation level from here, but it turned out to be quite the opposite!
Seeing such a treasure trove yet unable to make use of it for himself, Peter felt somewhat frustrated.
This is good!
Suddenly, Peter’s eyes caught the section where formation disks were placed. At a glance, he saw several refined formation disks lying there.
Looking over one by one, Peter found that most of them were not something he could use at his current cultivation level, as activating the formation disks also required one’s own cultivation level.
However, when Peter saw a set of formation called Scenic Array, his heart grew somewhat excited.
This was a type of formation that could be deployed anywhere, and once set up, it would blend perfectly with the local scenery. Even experts using Divine Sense for investigation wouldn’t be able to detect it. It was akin to a Hidden Formation, and most importantly, it allowed for short-range undisclosed movement.
Clearly, the Sect Leader had relied on this set of formation to grow stronger when his cultivation was low.
It was far superior to the Hidden Formation he owned.
Reading the instructions for the Scenic Array, Peter became even more excited. Although it consumed a large amount of Immortal Stones, the formation was truly awesome, capable of evading detection even by those several ranks above him.
Looking at the countless Immortal Stones in the ring, Peter also understood why the Sect Leader had stored so many Immortal Stones here.
This could be regarded as a life-saving item for himself!
When he turned his attention to where the Immortal Artifacts were placed, Peter could only shake his head, as there were many Immortal Artifacts he couldn’t use either.
There are quite a few Immortal Talismans as well!
After inspecting for a while, Peter finally found an Immortal Talisman that he could barely use. This talisman, called Attachable Tool Talisman, could be attached to an Immortal Artifact, greatly enhancing its attack power. If his Immortal blade were augmented with this talisman, he could directly kill Golden Immortal-Level Individuals and threaten those of even higher ranks.
At last, he had found something with which he could attack!
Now, Peter felt an added sense of security regarding his upcoming trip to Monster Beast Mountain.
The Sect Leader’s rank was too high!
After looking over each item, Peter was left feeling speechless. There really weren’t many things here that could be of use for his current cultivation level.
Fortunately, he did discover a few potent Healing Pills, which provided some consolation to Peter.
