Chapter 1160: Chapter 1160: Beast Tide_1
Peter Brown, this time, besides the issued storage bag, had brought many of his own to the scene. He was pleasantly surprised when he saw the Ore Demons, as each and every one of them could be sold. With a wave of his hand, Peter collected all of the Ore Demons into his possession.
The one thing Peter was never short of was jars. After collecting a jar of Third Order Ore Demon’s blood and conducting a test, he confirmed that it indeed had the Earth Attribute.
Having obtained the two most difficult materials to procure, for the first time, Peter felt some confidence in refining the Thunderbolt Knife.
After Peter killed these Ore Demons, no one came to disturb his mining activities for the time being.
Peter dug with renewed vigor once again.
He stowed the Immortal Stones separately in his own storage bag—these were not to be handed over; they had a purpose for him.
A large quantity of Ore was excavated.
Peter even found three types of Ore within these rocks necessary for refining the Thunderbolt Knife.
From then on, Peter deliberately prepared the materials for the Thunderbolt Knife. Whenever he discovered such materials, he immediately collected them into his storage bag.
As days passed by, Peter astonishingly mined a large quantity of Ore in this place.
If average slaves were to mine here, lacking cultivation, they could only dig slowly. But Peter was different; alone, he was worth twenty men, and his mining speed was incredibly fast.
After standing and drinking some of the water he brought with him, Peter sighed. There was no small amount of Ore to be turned in—there was a significant quantity for the month’s quota. Peter’s plan was to complete his task while attending to his own affairs; hence, finding such a place meant mining as much Ore as possible.
This is bad!
At the sound of it, Peter collected his Hidden Formation and dashed towards the rear.
The noise this time was deafening, and the roar shook the entire cave, nearly causing it to collapse.
Peter understood that the Ore Demons approaching this time were numerous and powerful, far beyond his capacity to withstand.
As he ran, listening to the sounds from underground, he was shocked; it was as if the entire underworld was trembling, a cacophony of noises weaving together.
Without daring to think further, the only thing Peter could do was to run for his life.
By the time Peter reached the gathering point mentioned by Everett Kingston, he found that several leaders had already arrived.
"Beast Tide, run!" Martin White shouted before he took the lead in running towards the rear.
Thinking of resting for a moment, but hearing the growing noise from behind, Peter swallowed an Elixir and once again ran desperately.
Though it was a journey that should have taken 2 hours, Peter found he had managed to run it in just one hour.
However, listening to the sounds behind him, Peter had no choice but to sprint for his life, as the noise from the Ore Demons drew nearer.
Soon, everyone reached the area where Dawn White and his group were supposed to be, only to find themselves speechless as Dawn and his party were long gone without a trace.
Run!
The group could do nothing but sprint with all their might.
At this point, the only hope for everyone was to escape this place.
The disparity in cultivation then became apparent; those at the Peak-Ascension-Level still ran for their lives, while issues began to arise for those at the Energy Gathering Layer, with some already being left behind.
We can’t run any longer!
Peter now realized that to continue running was a dead end. The Demon Beasts at his back were closing in, their roars drawing closer, and he could hear the dreadful screams of an unknown person, likely killed by the Demon Beasts.
With no one left by his side, Peter Brown ran while looking around.
At that moment, Peter noticed a hole in the stone wall ahead.
Hidden Formation!
Without a second thought, Peter leaped into the hole, and then he saw it was just big enough for a person to fit.
He quickly set up the Hidden Formation inside the hole, and with the formation in place, the entrance that had been visible was now hidden.
Peter breathed a sigh of relief at that moment and sat down cross-legged within the formation.
Peter had observed that the Ore Demons didn’t have flying demon beasts; if the beasts on this cliffside didn’t pay attention, they would pass by directly and probably wouldn’t detect his Hidden Formation. Besides, even if they did, they might not be able to break through with the defensive power of the formation. This was much better than fleeing mindlessly.
Hiding within the formation, Peter looked down at the path below, where figures flitted past, the people emerging from various offshoots rushing forward.
But the screams grew louder and more numerous.
Listening to the people being devoured by Ore Demons dying with blood-curdling screams, Peter shook his head; he didn’t know how many would survive this.
Just then, thunderous roars approached, and Peter saw a multitude of Ore Demons rushing towards this place.
At a glance, Peter quickly concealed his own aura as well.
Not just Fourth Order, but Fifth and Sixth Order Ore Demons appeared, and in their stampede, they could shatter the rocks into pieces as they collided with them.
Peter even worried that the place he was in might collapse from the impact.
Fortunately, this was a large path, and it wasn’t too cramped; the demon beasts rushed through, galloping onward.
A never-ending stream of demon beasts emerged, leaving Peter guessing how many more could exist in the underworld.
More screams came from ahead, and some of the slower runners died.
All Peter could do now was wait here; he knew appearing now would mean a sure death.
As more demon beasts charged past, Peter finally could rest assured.
Now, all Peter could do was wait to see what the Immortal Sect’s stance would be regarding this event, whether they would send masters to clean up.
Days went by, and with Immortal Stones in hand, Peter wasn’t worried about running out of energy for the formation; he just sat cross-legged here, cultivating every day.
Suddenly, Peter felt a disturbance coming from the path inside.
Concealing his breath, Peter looked towards the source of the noise and saw several people had already appeared there.
They were not from his Sect!
Seeing these people’s arrival, Peter was somewhat shocked.
Not only had they arrived, but they were also riding Ore Demons.
"Everyone, under the beast tide we intentionally created, I believe Dark Mist Sect will send masters here. We’ll quickly set up the formation in this place and make sure they don’t leave alive."
"Haha, how would they ever think that we, Ghost Expelling Sect, have already opened a path here? As long as we gradually take out Dark Mist Sect’s members, this place will belong to us."
"Take advantage of their lack of response and quickly set up the formation."
The group of people began setting up the formation as they spoke.
