Chapter 1131: Chapter 1131: Talking About the Phantom Realm_1

Once again, Peter Brown arrived at Senior Snow’s courtyard, finding the old youngster just having finished some chores, sitting in the yard sipping tea.

"Greetings, Senior Snow."

Glancing at Peter, Senior Snow’s face revealed a smile and said, "Your item has been refined, sit down and have a drink first."

"I’d rather take a look at the tool first."

Senior Snow then took out the newly refined medicine cooker from his storage bag.

As soon as Peter saw it, his eyes lit up and he said, "Immortal device level!"

With a curl of his lip, Senior Snow said, "It’s just a First-order Immortal Artifact, not particularly useful."

"How many ranks does this Immortal Artifact have?" Peter also became curious.

"Immortal Artifacts range from First-order to Ninth-order, a total of nine levels; the higher the level, the more powerful. Your thing is common goods, not very useful."

"How many levels of Immortal Artifacts can senior brother refine?"

Senior Snow’s face turned red as he said, "I can only reach Second Order."

Peter was somewhat surprised.

Senior Snow added, "Do you think Immortal Artifacts are easy to refine? I’ll tell you, the materials for those below Third Order can still be found, but for Immortal Artifacts above Third Order, those materials are not so easy to obtain, and you also need stuff like Immortal Fire and Tool Spirits, which you wouldn’t understand."

Peter now knew a bit about the Immortal Realm and understood what he was talking about; he just hadn’t acquired the methods for refining artifacts.

"The Cultivator has many artifact-refining methods, so why can’t they be used here?"

Senior Snow glanced at Peter and said, "You Cultivators always think about using the techniques from there here, in fact, you’re all mistaken. That place is a Phantom Realm, what is the Phantom Realm? It’s a place of fantasy, a world set up according to certain settings, and many things from there are inapplicable in the Immortal Realm."

Peter said, "I also saw the situation with the storage bags, and there are quite a few Space Rings inside, but here in the Immortal Realm, it’s rare to even see a Ring, and even the storage space in the storage bags is very small."

Glancing at Peter’s storage bag, Senior Snow said, "Storage bags are also a type of Immortal Artifact, divided into various ranks. Your thing is a First-order bag, of course, its space is not as large as my Third-order bag. Each time it goes up a rank, the space in the bag doubles, but there are also Space Rings, just that the materials required to refine them are rare, so naturally, there are fewer of them."

Peter thought about the games on Earth, feeling that the Phantom Realm was just like the games there, where they could be set up to be incredibly powerful, but the environment the players were in wasn’t great.

The same principle applies! The Phantom Realm is nothing more than a game in the Immortal Realm!

"Senior brother, I’ve always been puzzled about how people ascending in the Phantom Realm come to possess Immortal Bodies."

Senior Snow was clearly in a good mood today and smiled, "This is what many people from the Phantom Realm are puzzled about. Actually, consciousness can be transferred, and this has been proven to be true. Since consciousness can be transferred, after changing a body, can that consciousness still exist?"

Peter hadn’t really thought about this before, but upon serious reflection, he realized it really was so, and he nodded, "That’s really the case."

"The population in the Immortal Realm is not thriving, and the backup power is getting weaker. In such a situation, some Great Powers started researching consciousness. They discovered that consciousness can be created in a special way."

"Create consciousness?"

Nodding his head, Senior Snow said, "Through a special method, a Seed of Consciousness is made to germinate, then some stories are infused into it, and as the consciousness gains experience, it develops a rich spectrum of emotions. After it goes through numerous stories, the Seed matures, naturally merging with a vast array of things. Can you still say that it isn’t an independent intelligent consciousness?"

Peter thought about it seriously and could only nod, "So they specifically created something to cultivate consciousness?"

With a slight smile, Senior Snow said, "The consciousness that exists in dreams is just experiencing stories to mature, it’s all illusions, all created for the growth of that Seed. You might have had too many experiences in the Phantom Realm, too many family members, too many women, all of this is just nourishment for those experiences. When you leave, all of it will continue existing in their own experiential form, you are just the result of their help."

Peter suddenly thought about all the recurring experiences he’d had in the Phantom Realm and asked, "Why did I go through so many experiences in the Phantom Realm? From the world of mortals, to the lower cultivation realm, the Cultivation World, and even coming close to the Immortal Realm."

Senior Snow laughed, "Did your cultivation level increase too fast?"

"Exactly, I advanced very quickly."

"That’s right, to mature a seed, without a wealth of experience, it won’t work. Your growth was too fast, according to the program of the Phantom Realm, it would naturally increase the difficulty for you. Where there was originally only the Cultivation World, it created a lower cultivation realm; when you could have entered the Immortal Realm, it made a lower Immortal Realm, just an automatic adjustment by the Phantom Realm’s intelligence, heh heh."

Peter was stunned at the moment, never having realized he was the one being conned, that it was all randomly generated.

"After you Cultivators come out, carrying too many ideas from the Phantom Realm, you always think about rescuing your family, but in reality, if a Seed hasn’t matured, even if you fished it out, it wouldn’t survive in the Immortal Realm, so I advise you better not do such a thing. If one day you have the capability, you can control the Cultivator, watch over them, see them mature. Don’t worry, even if the Seed can’t mature in the short term, it will keep reincarnating in the Phantom Realm, and one day it will mature. When it does, its consciousness will naturally recover."

"If it’s like that, wouldn’t they have too many emotional experiences and consolidate with too many people?" Peter asked somewhat uneasily.

"That’s inevitable, so cultivators are taught to be Heartless, why? Because they have witnessed the many forms of life’s transmigration. In this life, this woman is your wife, maybe after she reincarnates, the Seed transforms into another life form, likely becoming a man, who will marry many wives. After a long cycle of reincarnation, who is your woman? Who else’s man? If you tried to make sense of all this, wouldn’t it be terribly confusing?"

Peter sat there in a daze, he really hadn’t seriously considered this before.
