Chapter 1031: Chapter 1311: Entering the Immortal Tomb_1

The people from the Silver Light Sect had left, and Peter Brown sat cross-legged in front of the immortal tomb, carefully using his Divine Sense for investigation again.

After a period of investigation, Peter found that this immortal tomb was indeed out of the ordinary; his Divine Sense could only reach the surface and was utterly unable to penetrate deeper.

Moreover, some immortal power was emanating from the tomb.

Peter had a feeling that the immortal power contained within this tomb was extremely vast and that there should be a formidable immortal corpse inside.

Looking around the tomb, although it was just a tomb, it was covered with a multitude of formations, so much so that even a master entering it might not be able to fully understand them.

Gazing at the empty star domain, Peter somewhat regretted his earlier inaction; had he known it would be like this, he would have made an effort to learn more from the Silver Light Sect about what they knew.

Forget it, let’s go in!

Peter took a step forward and walked into the immortal tomb.

Like a planet, or even larger than a planet, the immortal tomb was overgrown with various wild herbs that Peter did not recognize. He sensed that these should be some type of immortal grass.

Stepping onto the tomb, Peter felt the presence of immortal power even more acutely.

Finding a flat area, Peter simply sat down cross-legged.

Executing the Energy Absorption Technique, he was rapidly replenishing the immortal power he had lost.

Strands of immortal power were emitting from the tomb. Previously, when nobody absorbed it, it turned into spiritual energy nourishing the wild herbs on this land. Now that Peter was absorbing it, the herbs wilted at an incredibly fast rate.

Peter didn’t pay any attention to the condition of the herbs as he voraciously absorbed the immortal power.

The nine Nascent Souls inside his body were also fully executing their cultivation techniques.

After a few days, Peter found that one-fifth of his lost immortal power had returned.

The replenishment of immortal power delighted Peter, indicating that his capacity for exploring the tomb had increased.

The immortal power of the tomb had never been absorbed like this before. Originally, a massive amount of immortal power was seeping out all over the tomb, but now it was completely insufficient to meet Peter’s needs.

With the supplement of immortal power cut off, Peter discovered that his Divine Sense could investigate even more areas.

After expanding his Divine Sense, Peter indeed saw some areas where the formations appeared to have been broken.

Although Peter was also a formation master, he decided to use these broken spots to delve deeper.

Standing up, Peter walked towards the area where the formation had been breached.

Upon arrival, he found that someone had laid down a new cultivation formation.

With a few formation disks cast, Peter easily broke open the newly laid formation.

Unknown to Peter, in a distant place, members of the Silver Light Sect were observing his activities within the tomb.

Having operated in this immortal tomb for a long time, the Silver Light Sect naturally had some arrangements in place.

They first saw Peter sitting and cultivating, without being able to discern his cultivation status. Then they watched as he stood up and walked towards the place where the immortal formation was broken.

"Sect Leader, rest assured, the formations we’ve set up are top-level in the Cultivation World. Peter Brown won’t be able to break them unless he is a Master Level formation master," someone said to Marcus Hughes.

"You can’t say that for sure. The kid is sitting cross-legged over there but can still investigate the situation around him. This alone shows that he is an individual with great power."

Silver Light Sect certainly didn’t want Peter Brown to actually take over the immortal tomb, as their Sect had reaped great benefits from it. If it weren’t for The Higher-Ups, they wouldn’t have the Puppetry Technique for refining, nor would it have been possible for them to grow into such a large power.

The immortal tomb was important to the Silver Light Sect, and they wished to see Peter Brown fall before the immortal formation.

However, what happened next made the people of the Silver Light Sect sigh.

After Peter Brown released one formation disk after another, the carefully arranged formation by the Silver Light Sect’s masters was easily broken by him.

Formation master!

Seeing Peter Brown’s actions, everyone’s expression changed. Without the cover of the formation, Peter Brown would be able to enter the area they had breached, and who knew what kind of commotion he would cause there.

"Sect Leader, what do we do? We can’t let him succeed so easily!"

A Mahayana stage expert looked towards Marcus Hughes.

Marcus Hughes’s expression was also grim, and he said nothing with a somber face.

Another Mahayana master said, "Anyway, we can’t beat him. Why not draw the Fierce Sun Sect here?"

Upon hearing this, a thoughtful look crossed Marcus Hughes’s face.

"Good thinking, I like this idea. The Fierce Sun Sect has always been similar in strength to us, and now they have acquired an Immortal Sword, posing a big threat to us. If we can draw them here, they will inevitably battle with Peter Brown. Then, we can take action accordingly, and maybe we’ll have the chance to eradicate the Fierce Sun Sect!"

"Sect Leader, this really is a good strategy, letting them fight each other!"

Seeing that everyone was satisfied with this plan, Marcus Hughes nodded vigorously and said, "Alright, let’s do as you say. You go draw the people from the Fierce Sun Sect here. I really want to see what kind of situation will unfold between the two parties!"

The experts of the Silver Light Sect now all wore smiles on their faces. They had always been somewhat worried about the Immortal Sword possessed by the Fierce Sun Sect. But now, they looked forward to having this mysterious Peter Brown clash with the Fierce Sun Sect.

While the people of the Silver Light Sect were plotting against Peter Brown, how could they know the real situation? The Fierce Sun Sect did obtain an Immortal Sword, but the activation of that Immortal Sword required almost as much Immortal energy as all of their Mahayana masters could absorb. After one use, the Mahayana masters’ Immortal energy would be virtually depleted. Therefore, for the Fierce Sun Sect, unless faced with a Clan Eradication scenario, they wouldn’t readily use the Immortal Artifact.

Peter Brown, on the other hand, had become even more powerful. With the Immortal Sword in hand, and his energy more than enough for several uses, he genuinely didn’t care about the Fierce Sun Sect’s arrival.

At the moment, even Peter Brown himself didn’t know the full extent of his battle strength as he stepped into the excavated area.

On entering this place, the Immortal power grew stronger.

The Nine Nascent Souls quickly absorbed the Immortal energy, and Peter found that the further he walked inside, the more Immortal energy was released.

This immortal tomb was really extraordinary!

Peter continued to absorb energy while walking deeper inside.

The underground world was filled with light, not the darkness Peter had expected. Walking down this path, Peter even felt as if he were traversing through time and space.

Peter discovered that the people of the Silver Light Sect had indeed acquired some good things. Several spots were clearly once hidden with immortal items, all of which had now disappeared.
