Chapter 1023: Chapter 123 The Approach of Thunder Pond_1
Elder Gabriel Wilson of the Silver Light Sect fixed his gaze on Peter Brown and burst into laughter. By now, Peter had been heavily surrounded, and Gabriel did not believe that Peter could escape under such circumstances.
"Kid, you’re dead meat today!"
"Do you know the method of refining Puppets?" Peter suddenly asked.
Snorting, Gabriel replied, "Indeed, the Puppets were refined by me, but you won’t have the chance to ask me for them!"
Peter also laughed and said, "That’s good to hear. I was really worried there’d be nowhere to turn for them. It’s great that you can refine them."
Peter now liked what he saw more and more. He had always lacked confidence in Earth’s defenses, but now, seeing that Puppets with the power of the Mahayana stage could be refined, Peter was resolute in his decision to acquire the method for refining these Puppets.
Looking around, Peter noticed that the personnel of the Silver Light Sect were not numerous; most were Puppets.
Peter now understood the Silver Light Sect’s confidence. With so many Puppet Masters, even other Sects would have to show some respect towards them.
Would Immortal power have a destructive effect on these Puppets?
Peter secretly gathered his Immortal power.
However, as his mind flickered with thoughts, Peter had another idea. Perhaps he could attack using True Qi. If he used True Qi, he’d be able to save a significant amount of Immortal power, right?
Just as both sides were about to launch an attack, suddenly, a loud roar came from Thunder Star.
"This is bad!"
Upon hearing the roar from Thunder Star, Gabriel’s face immediately turned pale.
The people of the Silver Light Sect also showed a drastic change in their expressions.
"Run!"
At that moment, Gabriel gestured with his hand, and a large number of Puppets were swiftly recollected by him.
The other personnel of the Silver Light Sect also collected their Puppets and, without uttering a word, they dashed off into the distance.
What was happening?
Peter watched the departing figures with confusion, completely unaware of what had transpired.
It was then that Peter noticed too many people frantically running out from within, completely disregarding everything as they fled towards far-off places.
What had happened?
Peter was baffled.
He grabbed ahold of a Tribulation Crossing master and demanded, "What’s going on?"
The Tribulation Crossing master struggled briefly but was unable to break free from Peter’s grasp. Anxiously, he said, "The Thunder Pond is approaching, hurry and run."
Before Peter could inquire further, the man shook himself free with great effort and ran off wildly after breaking away from Peter’s grip.
The Thunder Pond is approaching?
What did that mean exactly?
During this short time, too many people had already fled from Peter’s vicinity.
Should he flee as well?
Thinking it over, Peter decided to stop in his tracks. Thinking of the Thunder Pond brought to mind a tremendous amount of Immortal power. His purpose for coming was to obtain Immortal power; it made no sense for him to flee.
Looking towards the Thunder Star, Peter Brown was astonished to discover that the Thunder Star was erupting.
The entire Thunder Star no longer looked the same; atop it, not only were there copious flashes of light, but also like a volcano erupting—it emitted objects that resembled shooting stars. The whole starry sky was enveloped in colorful light.
Could these be Immortal Artifacts and such?
But weren’t those people here to look for Immortal Artifacts? Why did they just run away?
While Peter was speculating about this, he saw layers of clouds condensing above the Thunder Star. Then, these clouds rapidly spread in all directions.
The clouds advanced so quickly that Peter had no time to react before they reached his part of the Azure Sky.
Tribulation Clouds!
Spotting the clouds overhead, Peter was stunned to realize that these were indeed Tribulation Clouds.
So that was it!
Now, Peter understood that what was about to happen in this Heaven and Earth was the bombardment of Tribulation Lightning, and the idea that the whole realm would be engulfed in Tribulation Lightning made him understand the fear those people had towards its arrival. Ordinary people certainly couldn’t survive in a Thunder Sea like this.
Looking around, Peter found that he was already trapped in the sea of Tribulation Clouds.
The Tribulation Clouds had completely obscured the starry sky, and even if Peter wanted to escape now, it was no longer possible.
Of course, Peter hadn’t thought about escaping. Just outside of the Thunder Star, there was already a sea of thunder; he couldn’t imagine what the situation with the Tribulation Lightning would be like on the Thunder Star itself.
Finding a spot, Peter simply sat down cross-legged; this time, he intended to properly collect some Immortal power.
Seeing the expanse of the cloud sea, Peter knew that this occurrence of Tribulation Lightning would definitely not be weak, and the diffuse Immortal power would be an astronomical figure. He just didn’t know what kind of changes would happen to him after absorbing so much Immortal power.
At the same time, Peter also found it strange that no one was undergoing Tribulation in this realm, so why would a Thunder Sea of Tribulation Lightning come?
Thunder Pond!
Thinking of the name everyone called this phenomenon, Peter nodded silently. It truly seemed to be a Thunder Sea now.
The entire star domain was completely engulfed by the Tribulation Clouds; streaks of lightning cut through the space domain, constantly brightening and dimming the surroundings, filling the realm with an energy capable of annihilating everything.
Sitting cross-legged here, Peter felt somewhat nervous. It was his first time facing such an event—he didn’t know if he could survive within this Thunder Pond.
Of course, Peter had also made up his mind that if he truly couldn’t resist, he would simply tear open the Space Domain and return to Earth.
While Peter was preparing to endure the assault of Tribulation Lightning, Gabriel Wilson and the others, who had escaped a great distance, finally looked back in the direction where Peter was.
This wasn’t the first time they had witnessed a Thunder Pond, and they all knew that the chances of surviving within one were virtually zero; no one could live through a Thunder Pond.
"Did that kid make it out?" asked Gabriel Wilson.
"Disciple has been observing in secret—he didn’t escape promptly; he probably doesn’t know the power of the Thunder Pond."
"Indeed, disciple has also checked. There’s no sign of him escaping anywhere."
With a sigh, Gabriel Wilson said, "Such a pity for all those resources!"
To them, the resources on Peter Brown were most important. Now, with Peter not escaping, he was certainly headed for certain death within. Under the thunderous might, the Ring and everything else would definitely be destroyed.
"Surround this area. Let’s see the condition after the thunder," Gabriel Wilson said, somewhat frustrated. If he had known this would happen, he would have acted against Peter earlier to kill him. If Peter had been killed then, his items would have been theirs to claim.
"Well, this kid dying in the Thunder Sea can be seen as vengeance for him duping the Tribulation Association."
The people of Silver Light Sect didn’t leave but instead sat down cross-legged around the area.
