Chapter 1015: Chapter 115 Immortal Tomb_1

After another day of travel, Peter Brown saw a small city resembling a castle.

Starry Sky Inn!

Peter had heard of this before, some powerful forces had built rest stops like inns in this region of the starry sky.

It must be understood that within this starry region, without the protection of a major power, a cultivator could easily be killed, and many people would spend any amount of money to stay in such a place.

Indeed, as he approached, he saw the words Seaview Starry Sky Inn written on it.

It was only when Peter arrived outside this small city that he realized it was a massive artifact product, nearing the quality of a spiritual instrument. If it were to be infused with spirit, it could potentially be upgraded to a spiritual instrument.

However, it appeared that the owner of the magic treasure had no intention of upgrading it to a spiritual instrument and was simply using it as a place to live.

"100 million for one day, those willing to stay please pay the fee and enter."

Peter was shocked when he saw the price—it was indeed exorbitant.

After some thought, Peter still paid the 100 million cultivation coins and went inside.

It had to be said, cultivators these days really were wealthy. After entering, Peter discovered that in addition to the Heavenly Caves and numerous rooms, there were also places offering food and drink.

At a glance, the liveliest spot seemed to be the rather large tea house.

Cultivators really knew how to make money!

Peter truly began to admire the capability of the cultivation powers to earn money; they never fell behind in such matters.

Entering the tea house, Peter had the waiter brew a pot of Spiritual Tea and then sat down inside to listen to everyone’s discussions.

"Fellow Daoist, you must be new here?" At a table nearby, three people saw Peter sitting alone and called out to him.

"Yes, I’ve just arrived."

"Are you also here to explore the immortal tomb?" A girl with bright eyes looked curiously at Peter.

"Body Integrating Phase!"

Upon seeing the girl’s level of cultivation, Peter was left speechless; it was clear that although she was not that old, only in her twenties, she had already reached the heights of the Body Integrating Phase.

"Not sure what the situation with the immortal tomb is?" Peter was genuinely unaware.

"Why not join us for a chat?" Another middle-aged man smiled and invited Peter over.

"All right."

Peter picked up his teapot and walked over.

After pouring tea for everyone, Peter said, "I just got here; I’ve been traveling for quite some time and really don’t know the situation with the immortal tomb. How come there’s an immortal tomb here?"

"You’re new here? That explains it," the girl said, looking at Peter. "I can’t believe you dared to enter this place in the Nascent Soul stage. Didn’t you encounter any bandits along the way?"

Peter certainly didn’t want to mention that he had killed the bandits who had tried to attack him and thereby replied, "No, I truly haven’t encountered any trouble on my way here."

"I’m Samuel Smith, and this is Ted Campbell."

The girl introduced herself, "I’m Julie Martin. What might your name be?"

Peter responded, "I am Peter Brown, pleased to meet you all."

"You’re really lucky to not have encountered any bandits on the way. Unlike us, we had to fight our way here," Julie said, shaking her head.

Peter pondered his journey in detail and nodded inwardly; he had always used his powerful spiritual power for investigation, and whenever he sensed the presence of powerful practitioners, he would detour and leave immediately, which naturally resulted in him not encountering bandits.

"Right, you haven’t told me what the situation with the immortal tomb is yet."

Julie said, "Don’t you know? Thunder Star is a very peculiar place—constant thunderstorms aside, it also emits Immortal power and expels both spiritual and Immortal Artifacts. No one knows when it started, but suddenly immortal tombs began to appear on Thunder Star."

Peter exclaimed, "Immortal tombs appeared on Thunder Star?"

"Exactly, they suddenly emerged with the Bombardment of Tribulation Lightning, suspended in mid-air just like that."

Peter frowned in thought; he felt the appearance of these immortal tombs might be similar to the way he had entered Earth, but he wondered why such a place would appear here.

"How is it known they are immortal tombs?" Peter asked, uncertain.

Samuel explained, "At first, no one thought they were immortal tombs. They seemed ordinary and had nothing special about them. If it weren’t for their ability to float in the air, no one would have taken notice. But then, one day, the immortal tomb suddenly burst with Golden Light and an Immortal Artifact emerged from it. After several different Immortal Artifacts kept emerging, everyone knew this was no ordinary tomb—it was an immortal tomb."

Peter asked, "Immortals? Have anyone broken into the tombs yet?"

Julie responded, "To date, no immortal tomb has been opened. Many formation masters have taken action, and the conclusion is that opening the immortal tomb requires Immortal power, and regular people don’t have that much Immortal power. There was also a Mahayana stage practitioner who tried to force open the tomb, but unexpectedly, just as he touched the tomb, something went wrong—he was struck by a surge of Immortal power from within and was severely injured."

"If the immortal tombs can’t be broken open, why do you still wish to go there?"

"You don’t know, fellow Daoist. Every time the immortal tombs eject Immortal Artifacts there is a schedule. Someone has summarized it and in a few days, one of the tombs will start ejecting items. Maybe with good fortune, someone could obtain an Immortal Artifact."

More and more strange affairs were occurring!

Peter realized he still had too many misunderstandings about this world.

"Do you wish to go see?" Julie seemed very interested in Peter and asked.

Thinking he had no other commitments, and it might be good to go and perhaps understand some unknown aspects of the Immortal Realm, Peter decided,

"Alright, let’s go together."

Seeing that Peter had agreed to join, the group exchanged glances and all smiled faintly.

Immortal tombs emerging from the midst of Tribulation Lightning!

Peter returned to his room to contemplate the development of this matter. He had not anticipated encountering so many odd occurrences in the Cultivation World; where exactly had these immortal tombs come from? This was yet another perplexing issue for Peter.

Was there a breach in the starry sky, a portal to the Immortal Realm?

At this point, Peter began to grasp why so many people were guarding this place. It was certainly not just because of the Immortal power; the reason had to be tied to those immortal tombs.
