Chapter 1004: 104

"It’s him!" Kenji Langton exclaimed in shock, pointing directly at Peter Brown.

The saboteur was deeply loathed by them, and despite a lengthy search, they had failed to locate him. Now, seeing Peter sitting cross-legged there and recalling the breach in the defensive formation today, everyone realized that the culprit was likely this very person.

However, in the midst of the chaos, with Peter sitting there enshrouded by Colorful Light that obscured his features, no one could identify him.

Just moments ago, in an effort to absorb more Immortal power, Peter had already left his original spot and was now in close proximity to the crowd, near the Tribulation Stage.

"Kill!"

Enraged, Kenji Langton threw a punch at Peter with all his might.

Despite his energy being greatly depleted from resisting the Heavenly Tribulation, the punch he delivered still held tremendous power and struck Peter.

Peter had planned to stealthily absorb Immortal power within the crowd, thinking his actions would go unnoticed. He didn’t anticipate that absorbing such a substantial amount would cause his body to emit light, and by the time he realized, it was too late to dodge. Confronted with the wrathful strike of a Mahayana-stage master, the best Peter could do was to quickly gather the vast array of Immortal power within his Elixir Sea into a protective layer.

Boom!

An immense sound resonated, and Peter was sent flying by Kenji Langton’s punch.

All saw was a mass of Colorful Light catapulted into the distance against the darkness.

"Heavenly Disaster!"

"Forget about him, our immortal fate is what matters!"

As the light around Peter dimmed, a Mahayana master bellowed.

The Mahayana masters glanced in Peter’s direction one last time. Seeing the Colorful Light around him fading, they surmised that Kenji Langton’s punch must have killed Peter, and they refocused on facing the Heavenly Tribulation.

By this time, Peter had already been knocked far away.

Falling to the ground, Peter found himself unharmed.

Sitting there, Peter checked his body and discovered he had indeed suffered no injuries.

Upon examining his body further, he noticed a protective layer formed within him, composed of Immortal power.

Indeed, Immortal power was capable of withstanding a blow from a Mahayana-stage master!

Looking again at the Colorful Light, Peter realized it had now retreated into his Elixir Sea. The light within shone brilliantly, not blinding but continuously strengthening his body.

Despite not understanding what changes were occurring within his Elixir Sea or what transformations his body would undergo, Peter knew the value of Immortal power for him was immeasurable.

With the deployment of an Invisibility Talisman, Peter once again made his way towards the Tribulation Stage.

At this moment, Peter saw the Heaven and Earth around him filled with even more Immortal power, and he quickly sat down to absorb it.

Seventy-nine paths!

Someone exclaimed in delight.

Then, they saw a grand gateway materializing in the Azure Sky above.

"Heaven’s Gate!"

"Heaven’s Gate has appeared!"

More shouts of excitement rose among the crowd, everyone feeling that today might truly be the day for them to achieve immortality.

The high-spirited Mahayana-stage masters now wore expressions of joy as the gate appeared, a sign that their hopes of immortality were indeed within reach.

Thunder rumbled...

This wave of Tribulation Lightning rained down like a deluge, a bolt for each individual present.

"Open!"

The Mahayana-stage masters bellowed in unison.

"Open!"

All the masters gathered there shouted out loud together.

Today’s Tribulation Lightning was fierce, but as of now, not a single person had been killed by the bombardment, and everyone began to see hope for resisting the Tribulation Lightning together.

Could we really wait until Heaven’s Gate opens?

At this moment, Peter Brown hastily laid out another layer of Dao affinity, feeling that as soon as the celestial gate opened, there would be some kind of change. He truly had no idea what to expect.

If merely resisting the Heavenly Disaster together could allow one to achieve immortality, there would have been many successful people by now, but no stories of such success had been heard, which was enough to show that this matter was not so simple.

Among those here, perhaps only Peter Brown still had a clear mind.

However, when Peter looked toward the crowd, what he saw were excited people. Even those who had been watching from the sidelines couldn’t help rushing toward the direction of the Tribulation Stage.

Not good!

Seeing this situation, instead of staying on the Tribulation Stage, Peter quickly retreated to the outside.

Could the will of the Heavenly Dao be so easily shattered?

Peter Brown simply did not believe such a thing could happen.

Of course, Peter Brown had a backup plan, which was to leave his Substitute here. If it were true, with his Substitute present, he could also be the first to enjoy the fruits of achieving immortality.

"Just two more Heavenly Tribulations, and everyone’s hope of becoming Immortals is looking up. Hold on!"

A Mahayana master roared.

At this time, even more power radiated from the Heavenly Family, as if with the emergence of that gate, a force capable of shattering everything descended from above, heading towards the earth.

Rumbling...

This time, figures appeared in the Azure Sky, each with a tremendous hammer, smashing it down from above.

"Bombardment!"

Kenji Langton shouted, and innumerable strands of True Qi shot skyward, bombarding those phantoms.

The sky seemed to become a battlefield, roars thundering through the heavens, and the earth seemed to edge towards destruction.

"We’ve held on, haha!"

Someone burst into laughter.

"We held on!"

"To immortality!"

"The hope for immortality is here!"

A joyful atmosphere spread among them.

Just then, a rumbling sound came from the tightly closed Heaven’s Gate.

"It’s opening!"

Pair after pair of eyes were cast onto the gigantic celestial gate.

Peter Brown, who had never seen such a thing before, focused his Divine Sense and likewise gazed upon the gate.

Could it truly open?

Peter Brown also started to feel anxious.

A great many people headed toward the direction of the Tribulation Stage.

Now, even those who hadn’t yet joined in knew that their chance for immortal fate had come. Each of them ran forward while delivering their punches towards the Tribulation Cloud, knowing that only by doing so could they be considered part of the Crossing Tribulation and make the Heavenly Dao Will acknowledge them as Tribulation Crossers. That way, when the immortal fate arrived, they would have their own share.

When Peter Brown looked around, nearly no one remained calm; they had all thrown themselves into this grand opportunity for immortality.

After a moment’s hesitation, Peter had his Substitute throw a punch as well, integrating the Substitute into the resisting crowd.

However, Peter himself was protected by a powerful Dao affinity barrier, and he used both Kindness energy and the power of faith as protection. Of course, Immortal power served as another layer of protection.

Under multiple layers of protection, Peter Brown wanted to see if there really was a chance for immortal fate.
