Chapter 314: Four Arms
Chapter 314: Four Arms
Both men fell but the martial artist was able to kick himself away and land. A hand immediately grabbed the arrow. Pulling it out wasn’t possible, unfortunately. The archer landed gracefully, another arrow already nocked and ready. Twang! Dasha ran forward, deflecting the annoying arrows with his gauntlets, and smacking Light-Shadow Archer’s helmet with his black-electrified palm again.
Light bursting from the soles, the archer leapt up into the air. Dasha had already gripped his skull and proceeded to smack the back of his neck with his free hand repeatedly. The Light-Shadow Archer was no longer the master of the air—Dasha was. Using the earlier momentum, he dragged the archer with him across the room, soaring. Slam! The archer was buried into the wall. Slam! His hand met his helmet again before the archer could fall from the wall.
Thunder Clap Palm! Thunder Clap Palm!
The archer’s body was stuck to the wall, though not of its own volition. Dasha stared at the fried corpse before leaping back down to the ground. The arrow was still lodged in his eye.
Kareen was furious, yet surprisingly, he didn’t charge at him. Dasha’s Qi Sense pulsed—
Arms and legs locked his body in place. Suddenly, Dasha couldn’t move. It couldn’t be...!
"Did ya really think that would kill me!?" Asa yelled. Red helmet gone, her long brown hair was set loose. Her throat was left with a bloody red scar—but very much closed.
’Green liquid? Even I couldn’t heal from Replica Gáe Bulg’s affect, what did she—’
Kareen was charging at him. The lock Asa had him in wasn’t natural. Asa’s heavy breathing stank and her eyes were red. ’A potion! She drank a special potion—likely from a phoenix or some other mythical creature with high regeneration! Regardless—!’
He couldn’t move! The potion bolstered her strength to the point that she could keep him in check.
"Four Armed Vessel!"
An ultimate move where his arms temporarily became four and full of divine might. Dasha was near death.
If only it was his death.
Asa’s hands were linked tightly. He could feel her heartbeat through her chest pressed against his back, her every muscle taut with the effort of holding him down. Dasha shifted his weight subtly, barely perceptibly, to the balls of his feet. His muscles tensed, and he let his body go slack for the briefest moment.
Asa didn’t fall for it and tightened further.
That would be the first and last mistake.
With a sudden, explosive movement, Dasha bent his knees and thrust his hips forward, pivoting on his left foot. He grabbed Asa’s forearm with his right hand and twisted his torso violently, using her own momentum and the leverage of his hip movement to flip her over his shoulder. Asa’s grip broke, and she found herself airborne, her eyes widening in shock as she hurtled towards Kareen.
"Wait, no!" Asa screamed, but it was too late.
Kareen’s eyes widened in horror as Asa’s body barreled into him. His Four Armed Vessel technique, already in motion, met with the unexpected obstacle of his comrade. Divine energy collided with human flesh and the impact was devastating. The room was filled with a blinding light as the energy discharge exploded outward and if Dasha’s eye wasn’t plugged by an arrow, he would have shielded his vision.
When the light faded and the dust settled, Asa lay motionless on the ground, her body smoking and broken. Kareen stood above her, his four arms trembling and his face contorted of confusion, guilt, and then...
"You."
Rage.
His four arm ultimate move had backfired spectacularly.
Dasha removed the arrow from his eye. His Qi was low so Internal Healing wasn’t possible. Battered but far from defeated, Dasha faced Kareen, the last man standing. The brief moment of shock in Kareen’s eyes was enough. Dasha’s next move was like a snake, his form a blur as he closed the distance between them.
He was hunting.
Dasha was back at full power—at Foundation Establishment Late Stage.
Kareen swung a fist, but Dasha sidestepped it effortlessly, grabbed the extended arm, and brought his knee up into Kareen’s elbow. The arm would have shattered from that midpoint if not for Kareen’s last second rocky amplification. Not that it made a difference in the battle. Dasha proceeded to drive his elbow into his solar plexus, the full-body-weighted blow driving the air from his lungs. Kareen doubled over, gasping, and Dasha followed up with a precise strike to the side of his head.
It wasn’t the end though. Not by a long shot. Kareen did not fall and was able to roll over and raise his fists. He blocked and blocked as Dasha went on the offensive. Kareen’s punches hit harder and his reaction speed was marginally superior. Their differences lay in application, versatility, IQ, and adaptability. Kareen’s quality in those specific attributes wasn’t low either.
He just wasn’t Dasha.
Bam!
A crushing blow to the nose.
Kareen stumbled back. In a flash, his eyes were raging red.
’This is it—!’
"Four Armed Vessel!"
In front of him, Kareen’s form began to change. His arms multiplied, muscles bulging and glowing with divine energy. The Four Armed Vessel technique was a fearsome sight, a manifestation of pure divine agony. Kareen’s face twisted with triumph.
Dasha did not jump back and flee. He went right for Kareen who thought him a fool. His two raging fists were about to slam into his left side.
Until Dasha’s foot flipped the Replica Gáe Bulg into his hand and thrust it into the heart of his four-armed opponent. The momentum and godly energy ceased. The disgusting sound of torn organs ripped through Kareen’s throat.
"Y-you...!"
"A last second usage of your greatest skill. I bet you were hoping I would use my own ultimate technique." Dasha slashed the spear and tore him apart. "As if I would ever waste my trump card when I have your leader to kill."
Kareen did not fall. Kareen died standing with his four arms.
